Hi! I taught middle school for 4 years. I suggest an area where students know to go for supplies. Paper, pencils, art supplies if you use that in your class, extra copies, etc. That way they don’t have to ask you for it, they know where to go. I usually had mine set up with a calendar or bulletin board on the wall with important dates and info for them.
I highly recommend a student center bulletin board for middle school. I had one the past two years and it was a life saver. I had school events, sports schedules, pep rally schedules, etc. my inbox is always open for questions. 😊
Nice setup and clearly has lots of potential to make it your own which is interesting since I'm a secondary English/Social Studies/Music teacher w/ a couple of rooms to organize so I'm always looking for ideas to get a new feel for the year and your ideas are practical which allows for them to be adapted as needed so appreciative!
So question regarding 4th grade set up, just because I was afraid you wouldn't look over there now. Can you tell me how you made your calendar numbers and labels and also your writing procedures? Thank you so much. Trying to set up my 4th grade classroom for the first time.
