Classroom Walls: Beyond Bulletin Boards 

Ms. Chris, educator from The Wonder Room, shows alternative ideas and ways for using walls and window spaces for information sharing or learning activities or invitations.
Bulletin boards can be fun to create - but are often time consuming and add very little "play or educational" value to the overall experiences for children or adults. They also can become visual clutter, which potentially can impact stress levels, attention / focus, and behaviors.
Walls that are used for activity or play spaces are engaging and often require little involvement from an adult. The children know what to do and build their skills and confidence with that type of independence within the classroom.
