This recipe is my all time favorite homemade pickle recipe. If you are a Claussen or dill pickle fan in general you will love these pickles that are ready in a few hours (not a few weeks)!

Thank you for sharing with us, I tried this yesterday with Chicago pickling cucumbers and the are really good! Very very close to the Claussen pickles. Love them !!!

I couldn't wait to make these and was delighted with the result! They are delicious and so close to the expensive Claussen pickles that I buy. I used a couple of English cucumbers because I already had them on hand. I also had the plastic containers and had never thought about using them. They were perfect ad the juice was remarkable. I love pickle juice! Thank you solicitor this recips. It is a keeper!!

Someone after my own heart! What's funny is I'm on my way to my kids house for a barbecue and when I told them I brought class and pickles for the burgers they were bummed because I wasn't bringing my homemade ones which they think are better! I hope you give them a try!

Hello and welcome! Must be refrigerated and they last 2 to 3 weeks. Ours never make it that long!😍

My dad would make HUGE batches of pickles at the end of every summer when we were kids. We had to save all of the jars from everything we bought throughout the year, and the rest he would just make in big coolers. (Probably not fda approved. Lol but we didn't die) i still can't get his recipe just right, and I wish I would have gotten it before he passed away. I'm going to try these tomorrow tho so we'll see!

My m would put up approx 200 qts of dill pickles each summer (we were a family of 12)! Saved jars like crazy! Does anyone know why Vlasic is selling 16 oz of Polish dill spears in a 24 oz jar ??? The first thing I do when I open a bottle of spears is to put them in a much more narrow jar. I have noticed recently that when I do this now, there are no extra pickles left over in the larger jar. Why are they still selling these pickles in a much larger jar than they need ???? I don't need all this extra pickle juice. The big jar is literally 50% bigger than it needs to be and is also annoying to try and fit in our refrigerator door. WRZ 2021-08-08

If I wanted a spicy dill what should I add ? Also I enjoy drinking pickle juices and it helps tremendously with cramps. Do you think I can just make the juice itself

Well, I suppose you could make just the juice but don't skip out on the awesome pickle part!😁 For a spicy version, I would add a small jalepeno seeded or not depending on heat level! Let me know if you try it, how it turned out! Thanks for watching !

Never! Ever pour hot brine over a claussen pickle clone recipe, and never use table salt for any pickle recipe ( only pickling salt ) you will have only cloudy jars of pickles.

I have grown many pounds of dill, and having good fresh green dill is so much better than yellow dill drying in a refrigerator or dieing in a garden bed lol please dont pass on my account

I agree, and I had just picked this dill up at the farmers market. I digress....Oddly, I can't get dill to grow for love nor money. Meanwhile everyone else who plants it ends up with a dill lawn!
