Yes, indeed Freedom Patriot, I can’t agree more … Yamaha is the very best in the industry and yes, I am sooo looking forward for a new flagship to replace the Yamaha Genos. It’s been rather a long time since Yamaha got a new replacement for the Genos and I for one soooo eagerly await this day. I was going to get the Yamaha Genos a few weeks ago, but I thought, well what if the new replacement is just a few months ahead. Patience is a virtue as they say, so I will wait. Thank you so much Peter for such brilliant work you do for Yamaha and more importantly for us.
Brilliant to see Peter Baartmans interviewed about his background in music and relationship with Yamaha. Peter's demos were the reason I purchased my Tyros and then Genos. Both fantastic instruments
Peter Baartmans , in this introduction, is knowledgeable, clear and , in deed very convincing, because he speaks the truth. If I had the money, ( not knowing the price, yet)I would buy A Clavinova with the soul of Genos next to my presently owned Genos. I have been a true customer and player of Yamaha keyboards from the 80´s as well. I also had a Tyros 3, then. I would very easily recommend those who enter this Yamaha Universe, to buy and try the previously owned and loved instruments available in the aftermarket for a good price, if the new ones seem too far for your economical situation for now. Quality it is, still, every and all the time. Start your one man band/family hobby and enjoy the beauty of making music with Yamaha! Why does it have to try and look like a grand piano? That is ridiculous and not fooling anybody. This is a digital piano. There are no strings requiring all this space for framing and length. The upright piano look is much more efficient and appropriate for a digital piano. As long as it sounds right to the player that’s all we need. Why doesn’t the 905 upright version get all the same capabilities? I don’t want something that looks ridiculous. You need to get a real soundboard to get authentic piano sound. The upright form is perfect for that. Just sounding good in headphones is not enough. Sounds should really be from the player’s point of view for the samples. Make it sound right when I play it and it will sound go to everyone. If you want to do listener point of view that should go out to the PA system or other external speakers for the listeners.
