I watched all four seasons and it literally killed me watching Justin die. He was my favorite character and seeing the relationship between him and clay made me so happy
I watched all 4 seasons, because or reasons (pun most definitely not intended, but there you have it), and it broke me, in so many ways. Yes, there is a lot of hope and humor and love in the following seasons, a lot of issues being dealt with, anxiety, depression, sexuality, acceptance, buoh, it got really dark in some scenes, and some parts really makes you sit up and go "Just how far are you willing to go, what are you willing to do, for the people you love." I would say "Don't watch all four seasons, because it's it emotionally draining, but there are plenty of fan vids and tributes for it that I do think you could watch, just to get the general idea of it all. Like the Full Story of Clay and Jensen or just the story of Justin Foley.
I watched the first 3 seasons (skipped the fourth) and lemme just say the progression of Clay and Justins bond is one of the most gratifying developments in this entire show. I intentionally didnt bother watching the last season once I got spoiled about Justin death, cuz seriously wtf, I just couldn't.
Same, I only watched the first season, it was really heavy. And this edit was heartbreaking, even with just these few scenes. It's a little too much for me I think.
My god, that edit took me all the way back. The relationship Clay and Justin have is one of my favorite all TV show included. Just amazing. The first season was the worst for me, I had to stop for a moment because it was too heavy, but I'm so glad I watched the all show. At least for this two... And to answer your question, season 2 is about the aftermath of Hannah's death, how they deal with it, and how they deal with the trial (because at first everyone is lying), but season 3 and 4 it's not really about Hannah anymore, it's about what a group of friends did in the name of justice, and how they are protecting each other no matter what
I watched the first 2 seasons and found them too upsetting but I kept up with the rest of the show through the Pretty Much It youtube commentary videos which are so funny. The show has some really wild/wacky moments, especially in the last season.
I bet having the context of Justin's life now the things like "You seem weird." "I think... I'm happy?" and "Congratulation, you are full-on the good son." Hit a lot harder 😊
I'm coming back and watching this edit now because I'm finally watching the show. I made it through the first three seasons... then I accidentally found out Justin dies in the last episode and I'm having trouble starting the season. So I'm surfing RU-vid instead 😒 I know this is older but since no one addressed it... to completely oversimplify, Justin's home life was untenable (understatement) and after he cut ties with Bryce he didn't have anywhere to go to get away so he ran away in the beginning of season 2. They needed him to testify so Clay found him and drug him back, only Justin had graduated to hard drugs on the street so Clay hid him in his room and detoxed him. Eventually Clay's parents found out he was there (but not about the drugs) and took temporary custody. Clay went through a period of jealousy, but they grew together. Justin got arrested as an accessory to Jessica's r@pe after he testified and even though Bryce only got 3 months probation, Justin couldn't get out of juvie without an official guardian so Clay's family decided to adopt him. For the rest of the show, Justin was one of the best characters, though he kept relapsing even after going to rehab. He just couldn't catch a break. He had the best story arc in the show as far as the development of his character... it just wasn't a straight line. I guess in season 4 they hint he got HIV but no one caught it and by the time he collapses in the penultimate episode it had progressed to AIDs and was too late. Not even the actor knew the death in that season was his until more than halfway through the season. Justin didn't even get to graduation, when everything had been looking like he was headed toward a hard-fought happy ending.
Justin was also in the first season, BTW. He was the cocky guy in both the first and ninth tapes (though Bryce actually did the things) who was constantly threatening to kill Clay 😅 Hannah's first crush, later Jessica's boyfriend.
Why don't u watch the other seasons..u only saw the first season out of 4 and u expect to connect and understand this video? You are missing out cuz the last season was very good and emotional.
