I have a very small space for pottery in my home. I can't afford the space to let reclaim clay pile up. I process my reclaim clay in a 5 litre bucket. At the rate I am currently throwing, I fill up and process a bucket a week. As I am also still learning, I often just reclaim bone-dry items too if I don't think I would love the form later.
I like using the pillowcase method as it makes flipping the clay easier. Less handwashing. I dry my plaster batts after each reclaiming session. Sometimes I even speed this up by putting it in a warm oven.

I was just scrolling through youtube and saw your video. this is such a calming video i love it. i also wanna get some new hobbies as im have more time now that exams are over in school. definately will be coming back every new release. keep up the amazing work!

i’ve never seen someone combine the pillowcase method with a plaster bat, looks so much cleaner that way! do you let your reclaim sit in water until it’s full or do you add the water as a last step? i’m concerned about mold if it sits in water too long. thanks!

I don't leave it too long, just till I fill up the 5lt bucket, about a week at the rate I'm throwing. I add my throwing water into it, and haven't needed to add more water. But I sometimes sponge off the water on the top when the clay settles.
