When Justin asked Clay to hold his hand, I bursted into tears. Just shows how much they loved each other and how much Justin felt comforted by Clay. He held his hand until his last breath ):

This felt so unnecessary... he’d got his life together. He’d gotten into college, he had a family. They’d finally put the whole Bryce and Monty thing to bed. Clay and Justin should’ve walked off into the sunset as brothers.

The groans he makes while talking to clay is just more depressing

Justin's death was harder on Clay than Jeff's and Hannah's were because he was his brother. The two of them have been through everything together and have always had each other's backs. They may not share the same blood but they are true brothers and always will be. And Justin may not have had anyone that cared about him growing up but he died surrounded by his true family, people that loved him unconditionally and would have done anything for him 💔💔

"For a long time in my life I had nothing but clothes on my body and my regrets. Then a person came into my life, a person named Clay Jensen. Even when I threw up in his room, he was there. He always was. Although I never had a family, I could feel what it was like, because Clay gave it to me. Because he is mine ... He is mine ... The way he's still trying to laugh when he's obviously afraid, it just breaks my heart 😭 I LOVE YOU JUSTIN FOLEY! YOU WILL FOREVER LIVE IN MY HEART!

I’m sorry but Justin was prob the nicest most troubled kid in the entire show and to see Him die off by drugs at the end truley was heartbroken especially since he tried to be there for Bryce and Jessica This show was truly one of the best on Netflix and will ever be.

I think what got me the most is Justins movement and how he sounded slow it killed my heart😪

The saddest part about this scene was how hard it was for him to talk. He could barely speak and each word sounded like his last

The acting in this show is incredible. You can really see how he's scared, and struggling to breathe, Brandon did an awesome job here. And Clay, trying to hold it all together.

'Thank you for saving my life. Like more times than you know.' This gets me so hard, because Clay has just been dealing with his mental state and how essential that fight is to his survival, and here he's not just thanking Justin for things like saving him in front of Bryce's house, but for the unwavering friendship that has saved Clay from a different kind of death so many times. Having Justin as his brother literally saved Clay as much as having Clay saved Justin.

This one scene just broke me and made me cry my eyes out😥😥😥

Probably THE most devastating death scene in 13RY since Hannah's suicide. At least this time around Clay got to properly say goodbye

This is one of the most heartbreaking scene ever. Justin and clay were enemies who became brothers. Justin’s character development went above and beyond. It’s so sad that Justin never got to graduate or go to the college that accepted him. He got into a college and was super excited and now he won’t get too. This last moment just makes you cry. RIP Justin foley. You were amazing 😪😢

Honestly, this scene broke me. In 28 years, I've never sobbed uncontrollably at any death/goodbye scene, but this one had me fucked up for a week. Those kids deserve fucking Golden Globes for their performances.

This scene is so emotional 😭 I love Justin, what a survivor he was. He could barely breathe, still managed to assure Clay, when Clay said sorry don’t know how to do this? Justin assured him he’s doing it great, then he would wait for what Clay was gonna say. The fact he’s saying I love you, and can’t breathe properly shows how truly he cared. When Clay asked if he’s afraid. Justin cried “yeah..I am” I cried a river and then when the famous last line, Clay held his hand beyond Justin’s last breath.. I just cried, cried. 😭😭😭 amazing acting by Brandon Flyn! Honestly I’ve seen this scene a few times and every time I cry! 😢 I love, I miss you Justin. And that smile, that damn smile 💙🥺

Dude, when Justin told Clay "Will you hold my hand, bro?" I absolutely crumpled, this scene alone made me lose my physiological state as Justin's character development in this series was superlative that just makes me call him my brother as well, such an emotional scene. ❤❤

can't stop crying on this particular scene.. it brought me into tears as if i mirroring myself and my good friend dying in the hospital.. its been 4 years now, but the pain losing him is still here inside me.. whenever i see something like this it really breaks me and putting me again on that very situation..

The only time i cried watching this series...hats off to Justin's acting.

I have watched this over and over and can't hold back the tears. This entire episode is so powerful and emotional and hard to forget. Justin was surrounded by his family of choice and supportive circle of friends. Like them, I feel like I have lost a son, a brother, a friend. The entire cast are to be commended for their outstanding performances. I know I will return to watch this clip again but for now I have to let the current tears dry.

I’m seeing a lot of “Justin deserved happiness “ and “Justin didn’t deserve to die” All of that is true. But that’s life unfortunately, unfortunately in life not everybody gets their happy ending. In real life (which this show portrays) shows that at some point or another regardless of age the people we love the most will unexpectedly die. Justin knew his own fate and of course his death affected his loved ones strongly, he left a legacy though. People like Justin who have a tough life either recover from it and end up with a great future and others relapse, get their life back on track and then end up with life threatening illnesses or die. It would have been great for all of them to live but that’s not how life works. Yes this is a fictional show with fictional characters, but these characters are experiencing things that happen in real life and there are a lot of real people who identify with each character.

I have been crying at this for an hour now

i have never in my life cried over a show as much as i have 13 Reasons Why. if i’m being honest, this show has saved my life. i was going through a hard time in school when the first season dropped. i never started watching it until the second season. i was being severely bullied and my parents were arguing pretty much every day. i tried to commit suicide 2 times.. but, by the end of the 4th season, i realized that, like Clay said at graduation, life is a spectacular thing. i no longer want to commit suicide. i want to live. this show has had a major impact on my life. i just want to say, to any of you who are thinking about committing suicide, dont. it gets better. i promise you. my mom once said, “suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem”. you are strong. you are loved. you are wanted. i love you. i care for you. and i want you to live. if you would like to talk about your problems with me, you can reply to this comment and we can talk. or if you would like to talk privately, i would be more than happy to talk to you. just reply with your Instagram or Snapchat and i’ll send you a DM and we can start talking. i love you guys. stay strong ❤️

Say what you will about this show and its flaws but if you watched all the way to the end and didn't sob during this scene there's just something fundamentally wrong with you.

This is so heartbreaking. I’m gonna be honest I was pretty annoyed when I saw that Hannah’s story ended and the new seasons were completely different but truthfully, Hannah’s story will never end. This is still her story. This just shows how one suicide can affect tons of other lives, possible even end some. Beautiful yet heartbreaking message

there was actual no need to end his life. It would have been so much better if they all ended happy and with each other.

Simply the most difficult heart wrenching scene i cried through whole episode and this scene makes me cry again and again the acting of both these actors especially justin they took me into the scene with them it just felt like i am with them 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 the best episode the time when clay holds justins hand and they both said i love you 😭😭😭😭😭😭 i am afraid i miss you a lot of dialogues not that won't do justice a lot of emotions 😭😭😭 they took me into the other world i cried like a baby after so so long and it made me realise that love,compassion and care is everything to live life😭😭😭😭❤

The one thing that made me smile in this scene was that Clay was able to be there with Justin as he passed. He was there for Justin in his final days to his last moments. He couldn’t be there for Hannah in her final moments and he still regrets it. Now Clay will never regret being there with Justin. This scene always gets me crying hard. Thanks for uploading.

Even more heartwrenching was the fact that Clay had to say goodbye to his brother in such a fashion; he was sincerely looking forward to going to college with Justin! I cried for days... I loved Clay and Justin being brothers!

😢😢😢😢😢😢i just recently binged 13 reasons why while on vacation in New York city and i didnt cry much throughout the show ..even though there were some tough scenes to endure ...but this scene right here broke me. It was so heartbreaking to see Justin suffer as bad as he did. After all of the heartbreak that justin endured, there was still some small part of me that hoped that he would have recovered and went on to live a whole and healthy life with his new family and brother. Clay was more loyal to him than anyone else was. This show had a great cast with talent beyond measure.

Was I the only one who was even more upset by Justin's death than by Hannah's? This character came such a long way and grew up so much since the start of the series. Justin is one of my favorite characters ever, especially for his character development and his progression throughout the series. His death was probably so impactful because of that - it makes us wonder that after potentially doing so much good, the result is still the same no matter what. But is that still a reason to not be good?

It is lovely to see a show take the time to demonstrate how different each death effects us in different ways. Justin Foley at first I did not like you. Then I was afraid of you. Then I was sorry for you. Then all I knew was I didn't want you to die. After that, I watched you grow, fail and get back up again more times than any kid should. I saw you become a powerful friend and a loving individual. And then I saw you pick up the pieces of your life and put them all together again...before a very small relapse...and a very fast recovery...and then all of a sudden...it was over. Justin Foley you were a character in a show, but you were so much more to not only this generation of kids watching you, but for the generations before you who died en mass they way you did, silently, afraid and in pain, but surrounded by chosen family. Justin Foley, I honestly loved you. You were everyone's brother. And should I have known you in real life as a real person I would have been by your side everyday, holding your hand, reading books aloud and talking to you, refusing to allow you to be in that room alone for even a second, because when you're dying the terms "visiting hours" would not apply to you and me, bro. I would rest, yes, but I would rest sleeping in a hospital cot, as long as you were. And when you passed I would give you a grave stone so Jess could talk to you everyday she needed to and I could bring you flowers and tell you stories. I loved you. Thanks for being a character I used to know.

This show made me feel a lot of emotions I’ve never felt before . I break down in tears when Justine died . This show is and will be forever one of the best on Netflix

It is amazing how one chain of events because of one suicide changed the lives of so many people. All this could have been avoided if Hannah had a talk with Clay and trusted him. But as for me... I understand why the scriptwriters killed him. It all started with him, they all end...
