I wore this cassette...yes cassette....I wore it out. I would use it during my prayer/worship time at bible school. I cannot believe that it is 2020 and the world is in such fear and panic over Covid 19. Locusts are devouring parts of Africa and looks like a famine is on its way later this year or early next. The economy of the world is in dire straits. The perfect storm to introduce ID 2020 with complete global compliance. But we, the church, the believers in Christ are longing for his glorious appearing. I keep reading 2 Thessalonians 2 to be encouraged by the Apostle Paul as to what to look for before Jesus comes for his bride. The Spirit and the bride says come...come Lord Jesus. I had a word spoken in my hearing while I was praying for another believer and felt to speak it out....it was...."Be Faithful little children". This end time we are in almost feels crushing at times, mixture of fear of the unknown and nervous excitement as to what it will be like when Jesus sets out on a cloud to call his children. May I be found faithful and obedient to all that he is asking. Ride on King Jesus no man can now hinder me.....in that great getting up morning fare thee well fare thee well. Stay faithful, be loving, tell everyone who are lost what Jesus did to redeem their souls. God bless.

Thank you Lord for the old landmark. Was just meditating on Philippians 2 v 14 and this song came in my heart. The landmark that the patriarchs of old held together was done without murmurings and grumblings. They held it together for us to carry on. In this time of uncertainty. The only thing that's certain is Christ our Lord. Help me find my direction and continue to light up this dark world. We continue to pray for each other.

I just learned that Brother Haney had passed and so sorry to hear this. He was a rock for so many and a church struggling to hold on to a heritage and truth. God Bless such a wonderful man of God and special influence to us all!
This is from the early to mid 90's, hence the older hair style and all. And yes, it is a UPC church in Sacramento, CA called Christian Lie Center. It's now one of the largest UPC's in the world. The soloist is daughter to the founder, former Superintendent Haney.
to be exact and specific... THE BIBLE(God's Word) teachs them not to cut their hair.. neither wear jewelry and anything of the like. The way you said it left room for misinterpretation... Which isnt right. If we're going to say something lets be clear and definite about it!
@jalarise84: yes!!! They are UPC, I use to be from the Mexican equivalent: the Apostolic Assembly, very similar teaching!! Sisters at my church technically no hair cuts and wore head coverings

I know you're probably referring to what Apostle Paul. said to the Corinthian church which MANY misinterpret. A woman already has a head covering... it's called HAIR. In all thy getting get an understanding. If you study Corinthian culture, women who were bald or had very short hair were considered to be prostitutes. That's why the newly Christian women were told to cover their head when they pray or prophecy so not to be mistaken for prostitutes. This is not the same in American culture, however, if someone wants to teach women to wear a hair covering or to not cut their hair, they may do so. But it shouldn't be forced on women or told they would go to hell if they don't.

Someone following/preaching VAIN traditions by saying that a woman MUST WEAR or is in sin if she doesn't wear scarf on hear head is LYING. At this time her name was Sherrie Haney Woodward. Glen Woodward wrote the song (he can be seen here playing the keyboard) and has since passed away. Sherrie is remarried and a Pastors wife in Stockton Ca.
PS Just as a note did you know this Biblical principle was followed by most of Chrisitiandom up to the late sixties and early seventies, and is still followed by orthadox Jews and denominations as wellnad now there are over 700 differnt Apostolic groups world wide who also follow this principle.
It's not that we are taught not to cut our hair like it is a rule or something there is a priciple in the word of God in the New Testament - that says if a woman prays or prophecies with her head uncovered, it dishounors her head in heaven! Early on in the verse it says that our hair is given to us for a covering and the word hair comes from the greek with means long and uncut. As to how they are wearing it here yes, old video and we all looked like that in the late eights and early ninties.
@ Lois McQuinn. You are referring to 1 Corinthians 11:5-14. What must be understood is that this principle was not meant to be a universal one. Apostle Paul was speaking ONLY to the Corinthian Christians. In Corinthian culture, a woman with short hair or no hair at all was seen as a prostitute. If a woman cuts her hair short or shaves it all off , it must be covered b/c her witness for Christ would not be credible. This is a good principle to follow but not intended to be universal.

David Simons it’s more of a burnt orange and it’s natural red. There’s another red head with glasses(it might be her, no idea) and they’re probably the same shade. It’s the age of the recording device.
Ur kidding right? The color is from how old this VHS is in connection to how it uploads on RU-vid. I use to watch this growing up and I can assure you that her hair was not colored. Even if it was, I'm certain that having colored hair has absolutely nothing to do with salvation. Blessings to you!
