I love that this was written from the cats perspective. Sometimes it's nice to look at it from a different perspective. Like, if I was living in filth I would want help for my cat, not for me. That's what depression and mental health issues do.
😺 Thank you for cleaning Abby's home! Wish we could've seen her exploring her clean home, but I understand that she was scared, so I respect you for not forcing her out of her hiding place. 😺
dear Auri, for the first time in 10 years I came out to see the pile of new dishes and clutter on my kitchen surfaces and said "look at all this stuff I get to put away". you have utterly reformed my mentality about cleaning after a childhood of trauma and at 40 I am FINALLY getting my apartment in order. it is miraculous that it just took an attitude change and to see you simply do what you do. thank you T_T you deserve a Nobel Peace Prize. please tell your Mama how her hard work has passed down to so many people through her wonderful kids!
I recently lost my 18 year old cat when he crossed the rainbow bridge. I'd been his mother since he was the size of my hand and treated him like my son. Thank you so much for what you did for Abby and her mama. Everyone deserves a clean and healthy home. ❤️❤️❤️
Aw this made me tear up. I'm so sorry for your loss. 🥺 I have a cat too, he is 8 and he too is the light of my life. I can't even imagine. Sending lots of love, they never leave us. ❤️🥰
So happy for Katie and Abby. As someone who has similar struggles with depression, I understand how a home can become so dirty. You did a wonderful thing for them, Auri. 😊
Объясните мне почему у вас у всех депрессия? У нас у Русских такой бардак и грязь только у людей которые много пьют или наркоманы. Даже у людей у которых мало денег и много детей нет такого свинарника в квартире и дипрессии
@@user-mm1iu6ik1u I'm sure there are plenty of people in Russia with depression. You just don't know about it. It's not like people are walking around telling everyone they have depression.
@@user-mm1iu6ik1u Rusia es uno de los países con el número de alcoholismo más elevado del mundo,lo que indica un número elevado de enfermedades mentales. Otra cosa es que Rusia no sea un país muy transparente en ciertas cosas.
I am having a horrible day and watched this to revel in my sadness and it made me actually happier. Thanks auri. So glad to see people get better! I have had depression my entire life too. My mom is crazy narcissistic and I've been in therapy for years dealing with how to process normal emotions. Cleaning makes me feel so much better! And taking walks.
Krissy so maany of us struggle just to get through each day too. I love taking walks too, air flowing around me helps and good smells. Auri helps me to know there is help out there! But just knowing she has super power to keep going and bring us along helps. Just remember your not your mom, you don't ever have to be like her, and mothers like are are never happy, except that and be happy in who you are and can become
I really like those Finnish bathrooms with the drain holes in the floor. Being able to rinse everything with flowing water, not caring too much with having the water on the floor. You're doing such a great job, providing immense help in different ways to these people. Thanks so much for that! ❤ Not many people could do (and even enjoy) this kind of work. Too many poor souls are left alone with their problems, even being afraid to ask for help. And if they do so are rejected. Thank you sooo so much!
I hope u feel better, Alle❤ There is no impossible things, and i believe what u will cope with ur depression and home! Best wishes from me and my kitties
Alle, I hope all goes well. A good way to go is to prepare All the garbage bags and cleaning materials first. Then start in just one corner of the kitchen. Pick up all the trash if you have trash. Clean out the refrigerator, clean the counters, do the dishes. Don’t try to do everything at once, just be consistent. Be proud of yourself! You are a wonderful person!
You make this world a better place for thanks for your videos I know what depression means and fill like it’s impossible to get through but your show them it is not believed and push threw thanks 😊
There is nothing wrong with being a weirdo. My favorite people are weirdos! 😜 I love that fact that you have the bathroom floor drains. We don't have them here in the USA, as far as I know. I think having one in the kitchen would be good too. You are my favorite cleaning channel because you have so much fun cleaning and do such a great job. I like that you tell us the client's story. I love that you enjoy your work and really care about the home and the person living there. Keep up the good work, Auri! 💖
In the US, floor drains aren't standard but they're becoming more popular. Seems in Finland it's standard for all places to do it. I agree it makes cleaning so much easier. I think the other difference though is we typically have a separated shower/tub (not in a new room but separated by a divider of some kind) because we don't make the whole room waterproof for some reason. While in most of these videos they're more of a wet room where it's just one full waterproof room with the shower just on the same level without any divider other than a curtain.
Dear Auri: I just love your videos, thank you for helping these people. I know how depression can stop you in your tracks and prevent you from doing the simplest of things sometimes. On a happy note, last week my daughter had a baby, my first grandchild! She went into labor and had to have the baby 3 weeks early so when she was in the hospital I went to her house and I cleaned for her. My daughter is not the neatest person in the world so I channeled you when I was cleaning her house saying "first we pick up the trashes"! So I had a lot of fun cleaning. Again, thank you so much.
Congratulations on the birth of your first grandchild. It must be a nice feeling. My Mom stayed with me and my newborn for the first night. She gave him his first bath too. That was a long time ago but they’re sweet memories. I’m so happy for you and your daughter. Blessings to you all.
Thank you for helping Katie and Abby! My house rabbits, Lennox and Meribeth, continue to be my biggest supporters with my anxiety, depression, grief, chronic pain, and chronic illnesses. Sometimes, they are the only reason why I smile and laugh. Unfortunately, they don't help with cleaning. I'm slowly working on doing a more deep clean of our apartment. Today, I even removed and cleaned the knobs on our stove just like I've seen you do. That was so satisfying.
Beautiful! I love that bathroom drain. I noticed that once everything was clean, it was very plain. No decorations or anything! I hope maybe she will better and put up some posters and decorations now. I'm sure the cat appreciates the clean apartment! My cats love it when I change the bedclothes - they go right over and lie on the clean blankets.
Great job! Please consider cleaning the cat litter lid while it is separated from the litter. Cats are sensitive to strong odors and the overspray may make the cat avoid it.
I love how you get joy out of cleaning. It depresses me so much to clean. Watching someone else get joy from the thing that gets me down, helps me to look at it in a different light. Instead of being overwhelmed and feeling dread, I’m trying to have more of an attitude like you. You are upbeat and so positive. Thank you for the encouraging videos!
This is, for me, the most beautiful of your videos. I was in a very similar situation a couple of years ago, I didn't mind living among garbage but I wanted better for my sweet cat, she deserved it. So I asked for help and luckily everything changed. After that, I found your videos and I no longer felt ashamed or alone. Thank you.
I love how the bathroom is. All open, and no need for a shower curtain, and I would like to clean the bathroom the way you do. Being able to rinse it all nice and clean 😊 You're probably the best person to help her. You're kind & compassionate, and non- judgemental.
I probably wouldn't have bought the products from the companies you are sponsored by because I get stuck in my ways. But seeing you use them and knowing I am supporting your work in a small way made me want to go out and buy some. I am a professional organizer by trade, but because of my health I'm unable to help people like this. Thank you for what you do!
Hi Aurikatariina, 🫶 I’m from Denmark 🇩🇰 and I just think that you are such an inspiration !!!! Even though I’m an a grown woman, I’ve still learned some good cleaning tricks from you🤩 I really admire the way you reach out and help people in need. And especially the way, you put fokus on mental health issues. We Can all really learn from you. You’re just amazing ♥️ Take Care and Bless you🫶
Auri you deserve every good thing that comes your way! What you're doing is amazing, you're literally helping people stand back on their own feet! You are reminding us that cleaning is not as hard as it looks. You are helping in removing the stigma attached to hoarding or dirty houses and more and more people become more understanding or feel less alone and ask for help. Thank you for all your hard work and good spirit❤!! Love from Greece
I think this is my favorite one ever, love how you gave the dips names 😂. You are such a blessing, so good at what you do, compassion, empathy and truly care about each and everyone that you help. Amazing job Auri!
I’m always so jealous of the places you clean and you basically being able to hose down the bathrooms, we can’t do that in America! At least anywhere I’ve been
When my parents built their own home in California in 1975, they included floor drains in all the bathrooms and the laundry room. They also designed curbless showers. The contractor thought they were crazy but the architect said my Mom was incredibly inventive and practical. As an adult when renting apartments, I realized how great the drain/curbless shower for daily use and cleaning. I built my own home fifteen years ago and included both in my house along with a pet shower in the laundry. Pure joy!
Aurikatariina, God bless and Happy Resurrection Day! TY for your servanthood and kindness! You give hope and peace and that can make a dramatic change in a person's life. Your smile and laughter would change a cloudy day into sunshine. The lilt in your voice and genuine care is heart warming. You have a very powerful blessing and I am happy you share it with the world! Prayers for you and your family!
My favourite part of cleaning the bathroom is putting up the fresh towels and wash cloths. This is such a lovey transformation, good for her that she asked for help!
Thank you yet again for all you and your sponsors do not only to help those with mental health problems but also to encourage the rest of us to start spring cleaning and sorting out our lives. Xx
Dear Auri, I've been watching your videos for a good while, at least for the past 2 years. You're such an influence to me and my mum and sister. Since my dad died of cancer 2 years ago, our home slowly got really cluttered, dirty and dusty over that time, mostly from my dad's stuff since we couldn't stomach the idea of getting rid of them. But recently, I made the initiative to begin deep cleaning and decluttering thanks to your videos. I've noticed a huge difference in my mums mood as we slowly worked our way through the house. Thank you for being such an influence not just on me, but to everyone. ❤
I'm so sorry for your loss, I completely understand what you mean. My mom also died of cancer six months ago and even though I think we're getting through it, our house is telling us we aren't. I need to start now before it gets worse. Sending you a big hug
Dear beautiful lady, never stop doing what you're doing! I was feeling so depressed and overwhelmed by the state of my apartment and once again, you've given me a light to help me out of the tunnel! All I knew I had to do was follow your directions, step by step to get out and suddenly, I feel alive again and I can face my life and challenges, plus eventually be strong enough to give back to others too. Thanks for being an angel. xxx
That was a very satisfying clean. I always wonder about all the clothes. It would be nice if a church group or ladies group near-by could gather them all and wash then go through the clothes with the person and help them choose what to keep and what to donate. It would give that person good social interaction and a sense of giving back. It would help them to declutter and hopefully make new friends and maybe some volunteer work. Helping others helps with depression. Community helps with depression. I volunteer at our churches food bank and clothes donations. I love the helping it gives me purpose and helps my depression a lot. Thank you and your dear brother. You are so blessed to have family.
About allll the clothes... Somebody else mentioned how empty the spaces always are after cleaning with no personal property. But I'm also struck by the lack of basic furniture. Which brings me to the clothes. There is no storage space for them - no chest or dresser. And we seldom see a closet. Even if there were closets, based on the size of the apartments they would be very small. And so, I think, the clothing just ends up strewn everywhere because it doesn't have a place.
Looking back, I realize that my cat was effected by my depression. Since I'm better currently, he is more active and playful again! That's so nice to see. Thanks for your videos! ❤
@Aurikatariina Suggestion. When you clean one apartment in two episodes, perhaps you could put "Part 1" and "Part 2" in the titles? A lot of people seem confused and asks "No kitchen cleaning?". Something like this: CLEAN or you’ll get EVICTED | Emergency cleaning!! Part 1: Kitchen CLEAN home, CLEAR mind | Amazing transformation! 😍Part 2: Bathroom and bedroom
It’s a good suggestion but there is a reason why RU-vidrs don’t do this even when their viewers ask them to, which is basically because it lowers their views. If a video comes up organically for a new viewer and it’s marked as Part 2, people are less likely to watch it, statistically speaking, and then the algorithm respond by promoting it less. It’s annoying for regular viewers but that’s the reason why!
I admirer the struggle in life you have faced and how you pushed to overcome. You are a sweet strong amazing person! I also like the stories of the peoples houses you are cleaning. Would love to hear updates on how they are doing months later.
You are the most amazing person ❤ As someone who suffers with depression, cleaning can seem so insurmountable, especially when your struggling to clean and feed yourself. Thank you for all you do and being so understanding and non judgemental 😊
I live in the US and I am always jealous of the floor drains in your videos! I didn’t even know residential homes had these. Very practical, wish I had them!
"trash chasers" - what a nice description Thank you for describing what depression does to people. I myself had depressive phases in my life and had trouble cleaning and felt overwhelmed by a chaotic appartment. Luckily for me it never got even close to the way your clients have to suffer through.
I want to see the entire house/apartment being cleaned in the same video so I can follow the story of the human and pets better. (My favorite part is listening to the story while seeing the problem being fixed so satisfying!!) I don't like it being two separate videos!! Haha ❤😂 I am addicted to your videos!! I am a mother to a 3 year old, and our apartment is looking better than ever. Thanks to all your tips and inspiration ❤️ 😊 me, my husband, dog, and son are loving living in a clean home! It was never bad, but now it's so much better, and we all understand cleaning better! Love you and your videos! I live in Sweden, and if you're ever here and need help, I'm your girl! ❤🎉😊😅
As a survivor of clinical depression, I literally feel the physical pain of this situation. I know what it's like to be alone with pain and suffering. Order and cleanliness become unattainable and unimportant compared to everything else 😭
One of my favourite videos of yours, Auri. I love how you help people who most need it, and yet you do it with such grace, joy and, best of all, zero judgement. Almost makes me like cleaning. Almost haha.
I never understand how it works having a washer and dryer in a wet bathroom and in this video they had an electric wall heater. I would be scared that I would get electrocuted!!
This resonated with me because a big motivating factor of getting and keeping my kitchen clean was adopting a kitten who tries to eat everything even smelling like food! When mental health troubles make us believe we’re not worth taking care of, having a beloved pet that deserves a good life can help us help them and ourselves! ❤
She needs to clean the cat box that's not ok, to leave it like that! Depressed or not, which I have as well anxiety. And three pets that I take excellent care of, regardless of how I am feeling. Otherwise a pet may not be a good idea for her. Maybe rehome Abbey if it is too much for her.
Agreed. These people claim they love their animals, but if they truly did, they would give them up and not make them suffer with their own depression and problems. Sometimes biggest love is to give the animal a new home, if you can't take care of it's needs.
I have depression as well and very low energy...most of the time I feel like a Granny who is 80 years old despite I'm 28 lol. And I still have to clean the cat box atleast 1x per day. It doesn't take much time, 1 minute. And you should invest 1 minute into the animal you love. I know it's hard to get up but you have to do it!! If you can't take care of yourself atleast invest 5 minutes into your pet, so you know it's okay and has a clean toilet and food+water. Cats don't need much. A dog takes much more time and responsibility.
Best part of cleaning a bathroom is removing all the dust from the floor! Blasting the walls with the shower head and watching how much dust comes out from under the washing machine or bathtub - feels like im cleaning my head when the floors get squeaky clean :)
My animals are the reason even with my depression, I get up and keep the house somewhat clean. I may not care about the yuck, but my animals shouldn't have to be forced to live in it. So I clean as best as I can for them.❤
My favorite part of washing the bathroom is making the faucets all shiny again. :-) Thank you, Auri, for teaching me about microfiber towels and power paste!
I sometimes get annoyed with cleaning (can't be bothered), especially when I feel a bit depressed or down, BUT I have cats and they motivate me to clean, because I want them to have a nice, clean home. I am always sad when animals are involved in situations like this 😔. So happy that Audi came to help! And respect to Katy (and Abby) for asking for help. I hope that both can become and stay healthy!
One thing that seems really common with most of the places Auri cleans is how bare the homes look. Maybe it’s part of the depression but the people living in these flats don’t seem to make their homes comfy at all. It’s all bare walls, bare floors, hardly any comfy furniture, no pictures or books or pillows on the couches, no nice lamps giving off soft light or cute curtains. As if the place they live in is just somewhere to exist and not a home or a place where you express your personality or collect things connected to happy memories. It’s really sad but at least Auri can help them feel a bit more normal and clean. Maybe that will inspire people to seek help for their depression, too
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for doing this, for helping others when they are not capable of doing this by themselves. I'm wishing you so much happiness! You are like a magical fairy!✨ Thank you🩵
as a brazilian, I must say: YESSS TO FLOOR DRAINS!! it’s just essential for us to be able to clean everything in a bathroom with a good amount of water, it’s so much easier and it really makes things clean. it’s like the difference between washing your hand or just using hand sanitizer, there is always a moment that you really need to wash it for real.
I love that most of your cleaning videos are of apartments that have a drain in the floor for water. This is not the case in many apartments or houses where I'm from.
@@sunshine3914 these are universal. Google it, or ask in your local stores. In my country only bigger stores have them, or fancy ones. I had one before, it's cool but if you clean your seat on regular basis than it's not that important, I didn't remove it too often. Maybe if I lived in large household 🤔
Hi Aurikatariina. What a wonderful job you do for all the people you clean for and free. You are truly a marvellous person. I love cleaning myself, I love all the cleaning hints you give. My friends think I overdo my own house. When I see how these premises start out to how they finish is something of a transformation indeed. I don't really understand depression myself but I have known people who do suffer from it and it is really quite debilitating for them. Keep up all your fantastic work and I always love watching your channel. Last thing I must mention we have drains in our bathrooms and laundry rooms in Australia mainly as an overflow. I am sure it would serve the purpose you use them for. Best wishes and happy cleaning from Sydney Australia
I can tell you are a true cleaner from your heart . I have to be reminded to use gloves because of how much I clean and the gunky places I touch . I’m so used to cleaning it does not bother me . Bless you beautiful 🙏🏽♥️
I love your videos so much. They are relaxing and motivating at the same time ❤ And you are such a beautiful soul. It's so nice to hear what you have to say💖
As a cat video, it broke my heart to see the cat living in such an environment but I was pleased to hear that the cat was provided fresh water and food. My heart dropped when I saw the litter box though. Even though the person couldn't clean their own bathroom they should have at least made an effort to clean the cat's bathroom.
Agreed. These people claim they love their animals, but if they truly did, they would give them up and not make them suffer with their own depression and problems. Sometimes biggest love is to give the animal a new home, if you can't take care of it's needs.
thank you for helping Abby and Katie! I wanted to mention something about cats: you said that they wonder around the house after cleaning as if they didn't recognize their home... they probably don't! cats relate with their territory with smell (also marks), but when we clean they can lose the smell they're used to :( when cleaning a home with a cat, maybe leave 1 piece of poop in their litter 🙈 for them to know it's still their smell (I know it's not very nice but that's how cats work)
