Hey Alicia I chuckled when I saw your video. It must be that time of the year. My floss was a hot mess. So I have spent the last couple of days bobbing them and get them back in the boxes in numerical order. I took my extra skeins and separated the in bags by number 100 group per bag. Great minds think alike. Have a blessed day.

I sure need to clean my craft room…started declutterring then just walked out and closed the door….i declutterred the rest of the house….must get back to work😊

Hi Alicia .. great idea on the floss organization. I've done something similar with the extra skeins but I have them divided in 3 lil skinny lidded boxes that I picked up at Ms. 1 box has black, white, ecru & 3865, 1 box has colors up to 699 & other box has 700 & above. It works for now but I still have to rifle thru them. Next time I'm there will have to see if they have any more or something different that I can use in their place. They're great lil boxes, so I know I can def repurpose them for something. I wish you well on your journey & look forward to more tips & tricks!

That is exactly how I separate my extra threads.

I have all the bobbinated floss in plastic boxes I bought at some craft store years ago, in numerical order. I pull from there for any new project. Half the time I can’t find all of them so I look in my journal where I keep track of what floss is with what project. It works okay for the most part. Then I have my little baggies of floss which are separated by color. It’s not really working for me. I like your idea of putting them in baggies by number so I think I will try that. Thanks for the idea.

Boy do I need to organize my floss, it's a hot mess! When I stitched in the 80's & 90's I bobbinated my DMC. Got rid of them & haven't organized since I started stitching again. What brand of bobbins do you use? Can't wait to see what other tips you share. Lord knows I need help!!😮

I organize my extra floss the same way. So much handier!. For your charts, are those magazine holders? I have mine in matching black 3 ring binders and are categorized by theme and are labeled for quick identification

Your timing could not be better! Yesterday I was searching high and low for a floss I KNOW I have but could not locate anywhere. Turns out it helps when you file them away in correct numerical order! 🙄 I was also rifling through my box of un-bobbinated floss trying to see if it was in there so I really love your idea of putting those in bags by number range - so smart! I just spent the better part of an hour doing some craft room cleanup after watching your video, so thanks for the motivation. 💕
