Endgame final fantasy optional content is no joke. This is a real final fantasy game that captured the difficulty of the classic FF side content

The Platinum is no joke on this one… Chadley’s combat challenges almost made me give up. I had to look up guides to even stand a chance, and even with OP strats they were still super hard.

For the protorelic bosses you 100% need to have a Magnify materia on cure. If you don't your just tearing through all your ATB (a valuable resource) on healing items that heal only 1 person and often times not to full health, so your gradually getting worn down and not doing damage cause all your ATB is being tied up healing. Also if you magnify an offensive spell it will always do less damage even if you only hit one target. You can turn off magnify when highlighting a spell and pressing L1.

The return of the chocobo montage at Jules' gym, love it! 😂 Totally understandable that you want to take some time off the game after taking that whole ending in. You have also taken on some of the hardest challenges imo, which can make it feel overwhelming. Jules and that last 3D brawler opponent took me só many retries! 😳 With that last Glide de Chocobo, you are supposed to fly back to the updraft to get those last rings. It feels counter-intuitive to go back, but you need that updraft again to make it 😉

For Galactic Saviors you can just hold down square to shoot. You have unlimited ammo for basic shots so you can just hold it down even when enemies aren't on screen yet.

For the Gi Nattak challenge it helps to work backwards knowing what you need on the board. You know that Gi Nattak needs to be placed in the middle row, so you know you want to get the highest point value on a middle row card before you use Gi Nattak. You know that Jabberwock will get you a high value so you know that should be the replaced card in the middle that Gi Nattak takes over. You also know with the griffon that it requires a card to its right and up to maximize it's use therefore Griffon needs to be replaced on the bottom left corner.

Maggie, you can now buy extra outfits for Red and Cait at gold saucer and change everyone's outfit for everywhere outside Costa Del Sol now. Best of luck with the post game stuff!

Hey Maggie! I'm excited to see you back for the mini games, I didn't think you'd be back to FF7R so soon! The endgame stuff in this game is INSANELY hard. I'm very slowly working through hard mode, but it is an undertaking to be sure. If you need to take time off before jumping back in that's totally understandable! Sidenote: A tip for the starfighter game 1:08:49 you can just hold square to shoot, you don't need to spam it.

For the Kujata/Phoenix fight, Equip Elemental Materia with Fire/Ice materia to your armor. It'll make you immune/reduce your damage from those elements.

It’s completely understandable. I’m on hour 211 picking at trophies here and there over the last couple of months… still not done (but I’m close 😜) Saturday afternoon with Kasta on somewhere is always a great time. Hope you got out to see some of the Aurora craziness the last couple of days.

for your question at 1:56:10 - the majority of endgame content is a huge difficulty spike from the main story and if you’re planning on getting all the items for Johnny, you’re gonna have to go through fights/minigames way harder than the Kujata/Phoenix fight u just attempted. U may want to at least grind to max level (level 70) as well as level up specific materia to max or close to max level and then rearrange your materia for the most optimal loadout for some of these fights because if not, you’ll struggle a great deal. No intention on backseating, just trying to help. U got this!

Omg completing all the proto-relic missions were so annoying. I've only got one tempering left...haven't gone back since finishing the game 😂 Well done again on finishing the game. Post-FF7 blues is def a thing.

Love the effort to get everything done, but I feel like you're like the vast majority of players who are mainly invested in the narrative and the characters. Once the story is complete, the side missions just don't quite have the same appeal. Don't feel any pressure to do everything. Rebirth is a marathon and then some. Whatever happens next is way more intriguing than completing some side missions.

Another great video Maggie and don’t worry, it just means more FF7 Rebirth clean up videos for us, which I personally like to be honest👍. Like I said on Instagram, I’m nowhere near finished in my play through and the getting the Protorelics before you actually face Gilgamesh looks so damn hard and I’m not as good as you when it comes to the mini games and side quests either, so whilst I might not fully 100% this game, I appreciate the fact you’re playing to clean everything up in this one play through👍. Can’t wait for whatever game you play next and look forward to the next FF7 Rebirth clean up video as well, chin up Maggie👍.

Don‘t blame yourself if you fail on some challenges, some of them are hard as hell to the point of being just unbalanced and unfair. After many hours of pain and tears I was able to complete everything except some Chadley VR fights, wich I will complete as well in time. I had to realize tough that some fights are so hard and unfair that you need to memorize the gimmik on some enemies perfectly and it also needs nearly perfect execution (constantly perfect blocking etc.). I don‘t think you‘ll be able to complete everything, but don‘t blame yourself, as I said, at some of the harder challenges I felt that the game wasn‘t just balanced well…

If they had Queens Blood at a IRL casino, Maggie will be in trouble.

I would love to see your stats post game. You can open play log and see your actual relationship percentages and what you missed, from the menu. Not sure if you found this yet. But you can know just how close you were to getting x date over y date etc. Also, some of remaining content is level 70. but post game you get massive exp and ap boost. you'll gain multiple levels just battling a little bit first before attempting final trials. post game and hard mode is basically tuned for level cap, just like remake..

with all other playthroughs coming in, and busy schedule, you think you'll return to this before doing hard mode ? There are a whole lot of very hard and challenging things to get through in combat simulations or with Gilgamesh island. Same with final objectives of the mini games. Don't feel forced to, it's no walk in the park. Right now for example on my end, I'm doing these super hard fights with guides when i get the chance and feel like it. Then I'll do hard mode (which would be made easy with big accessories being earned through challenges) before part 3 comes out.... hopefully ^^

Since u loved FF7 remake and rebirth u should really play The Kingdom Hearts series. It's so good and if u love Disney you'll love that I guarantee it

fixing heavy feeling is easy, just restart in hard mode and enjoy all the good times again :)

I decided to leave my twitch message here - I didn't wanna be rude and make a big post during a hype train -- I always enjoy your playthroughs while i work graveyard shift in IT, FF are always a bias favorite and your thoughts are always interesting. Way you let cut scenes happen then talk, your gameplay is always fun to watch, sometimes similar how I play. And no hardmode yet. I will wait a year maybe , 100+ hours was a lot haha. Summer is here and in Canada land, must capitalize on all the fun stuffs outside! I will remain hopeful for Crisis Core Reunion but totally get it if its a no go haha I do stop in twitch sometimes and/or leave a lurk usually just waking up haha Random: Always curious how you keep your voice from all the YT recording and Twitch streaming you do.

I love this game. I just wish the game would've been rated R. Because it took away from some moments, like when in the Shinra building, you follow a trail of blood, not a purple goop. Then arrive at the president's office, and he's in his chair with his face planted on his desk and sephiroths sword sticking out of his back.

FF7 and Rebirth make you realize you want the dynamics, bonds, and sense of purpose that the characters in the game have. The post game depression is real because of just how damn fulfilling playing it feels

Seriously, don't overdo it. Don't be afraid to look at guides for a chocobo route, cactuar challenge etc. The final challenges are very difficult and playing without any help will make you hate the game. This game is harder to complete than any souls. Sorry if I seemed rude, but I just tried to help.

One things for sure. After finishing Rebirths story, the lyrics to Hollow (part 1's main theme) hit a lot differently.

With the Phoenix and Kujata fight you have to beat Kujata first. Phoenix will revive him later but he will be weaker. Phoenix is weaker when there’s no other enemy in the fight.

A helpful tactic I used in the Gilgamesh island summon fights was to cast Manawall on the party and then have Barret use Steelskin and lifesaver. He’ll soak up damage for the party and you can continue to heal him as needed.

You are using level 1 limit breaks when your level 2 is available. It’s like twice the damage.

Hey Kasta! Thank you for your playthrough, I'm a big fan snd enjoyed every minute of it :) The best tip I can give you, try NOT to platinum this game! It's better for your mental health, let me tell you after 200 hours 😅. It's harder than Elden Ring or Returnal Platinum, especially the legendary/brutal Chadley simulations, it's the hardest thing I ever had to do in gaming 💩 But I bet you would enjoy the final fight with Gilgamesh. Better try the last summon battles before him when you're max level (70) otherwise it's VERY hard. You'll get to level 70 when you've completed all (non legendary/brutal) Chadley battle simulations and by clearing all side content. And another tip, try to use the enemy lock on with L3 (I believe). This is also what got you into trouble with the final fight with Sephiroth. It's far easier to battle the harder enemies when you always have them in your sight :) And please give us the remaining Gold Saucer dates reactions. Kasta, it has been a pleasure seeing you truly become one of us. You get it. You love final fantasy, and I'm so excited because you mightn't have even played your favourite one yet. The golden stretch is probably 6 through to 10, there's hardly anything to seperate them, they're all of astounding quality. Some people would say 4, some would say 13. Every iteration is special in it's own way and has it's fans. I hope you play X, the glowing assessment of it I can give was Squaresoft were very excited about what they could do with the advanced capabilities of being the first ps2 era title, and we got a chunky boi, no spoilers. Except it looks as beautiful as it could have and it's such an upbeat feel to gameplay.

Will miss you playing FF7 rebirth, but looking forward to FF10

You did the phoenix/kujata fight correctly, you have to kill kujata once, then kill phoenix, then finish kujata again. Thats probably the hardest one out of the Gilgamesh island challenges tbh, but odin/alexander is tricky too

Beating both FF7 games and not using lock-on during battle is really impressive tbh

Karmic Kowel on your main 3 or maybe keep Cloud with limit booster or expeditionary medal. Equip someone with magnify Healing and someone with Magnify Barrier, Plus Lifesaver and steelskin from Barrett will make Gilgamesh Island a bit easier.

FF7 Rebirth Persona 5 Royal Both hit me with that post-game depression. Now I'm about to complete Persona 3 Reload and I can already feel the dark cloud approaching. 😆😂😭

Or perhaps you're not that big into post game challenges. As you said yourself: you get emotionally attached (invested?) to characters. Now that the main story is over, it's effectively "over". For now. Sometimes you need to let go, give it a breather, instead of marching on. Just as the characters are taking a deserved reprieve as well. Besides challenges are nice and all, but when some of them get really hard it's easy for them to taint the joyful gaming experience.

Definitely need to spend a couple hours grinding to level 70 and leveling your materia to tackle Endgame challenges; they're notoriously difficult. I spend so long getting the platinum and wanted to pull my hair out sometimes.

I finished the game with 128 hours, spend 1 month playing and i just stopped playing videogames for a while, when the devs said 2 discs the weren’t kidding, too much stuff, i did almost everything, except all of the fights in Chadley, i will do everything when i went to the hard mode, and I don’t even know when but sure i will because i want to see the story again with all the nuances and knowing everything about the story gets more intresting

if i may: pressing R3/pressing down on the right stick will allow you to lock on to your target. consider utilizing the elemental support type materia. once that's at max level, it will absorb the linked element. also, when in the menu and you want to adjust your materia with everyone, press the PS pad and it'll pull up all the characters' materia. quake (petrify materia) is really good. when using yuffie, consider short-key her ability "blindside." it's a pretty amazing ability...

Just finished watching your playthrough and it was such a great experience to watch someone play Remake ans Rebirth without any prior knowledge. Regarding the difficult postgame stuff, some of it is super difficult, even for great players with the best strategy. For the protorelic or battle arenas you can lower the difficulty since that helps a bit and lets you finish those quests. I would suggest to at least finishing the protorelic one since it has a great ending.

Without backseating, here is a list of things that you already know/have read/ are displayed on screen to help you out if you get around to read this comment: Combat: - You can lock on one target at any moment by pressing R3 (button of the right analog stick). You can swtich targets with the right joystick, by simply moving it left or right. It's very handy to stay on target when you switch character :) - Magnify reduces the effectiveness of spells, so less damage because it goes to multiple targets. When you're casting a spell at one target only, to avoid dealing less damage, press L1 to deactivate Magnify when selecting the spell. Note: You can choose to activate Magnify or not in advance in the shortcuts combat settings as well. - Cloud can dash to target, even in the air. Dodge once and hold square to fly your way to any enemy. - Cloud has a very handy attack for groups of enemies: Hold Square when attacking to do a small AoE attack that brings enemies IN towards Cloud. - Cloud has a built-in parry in punisher mode: when in punisher mode, press R1 (block) when an enemy attack should hit you to parry it and damage the enemy. With your souls games background, it will be easy for you to get the timing right and it will help tremendously. Some weapons abilities enhance the damage dealt with it. - When an enemy is pressured, use Focused Shot/Strike/Thrust to stagger quickly. - Tifa has two ways to raise the Stagger damage percentage done to an enemy: using True Strike, or using her Unbridled Strength abilities. It is VERY significant to go from +160% dmage dealt to 220, 250 or 270%. What I usually do is use ATB Stagger Materia on Tifa + Luck up for Crit chance, Stagger an enemy, Unbridle once, do Omnistrike, and do it over and over again until the stagger gauge is empty. I also give commands to others that deals massive amount of damage to it (Limits, Synergy abilities etc) - Yuffie can dash to an enemy like Cloud does, by throwing her boomerang at the enemy and pressing triangle to "Retrieve" it. She will dash to it and allow you to deal physcial attacks normally - Aerith Arcane ward is a huge deal when it comes to using spells against bosses that are weak to that element, and she can dodge around and use ward shift right before using a spell to take advantage of the ward. Note that it also works for any party member who is casting a spell. - Check the detrimental and beneficial status effects in the manual and their icons. It will be useful, even more for Hard mode. QoL tips: - while out of combat, you can press L1 to use items multiple times instead of going through the menus for each use. - 3D Brawler : you can pause at the beginning of each animation. - Space arcade game: you can hold Square to shoot, you don't have to smash^^

Just platinum this game off stream. It's really too challenging to do on stream. Platinum without a guide legit took me 250+ hours. All 88 Johnny's stuff is almost plat. The hardest are chadley brutal and legendary missions. the Gilgamesh Protorelic missions are a cake walk compared to those Brutal and Legendary challenges

Hey Maggie, I really enjoyed your playthrough, so thank you for sharing your experience. I rarely comment and I absolutely do not want to backseat. But if you're serious about challenging the harder fights in this game, I strongly suggest you find someone you trust to explain some stuff to you or maybe even look up some help. Because there are some absolutely fundamental parts of the battle system that you either forgot about or never really fully understood. And no, I do not mean blocking... :). And while that was completely fine for beating the game, I'm afraid the harder fights will otherwise be a very frustrating experience. I can tell you really love this game (as do I), so I wouldn't want your experience to be soured by banging your head against the wall over and over... To put things into perspective, the Kujata/Phoenix fight you tried here on normal, is not even remotely close to being the hardest fight in the game... I legit think this might be one of the hardest platinums I have ever done.

It's crazy when you're at the end of the game, and you have these heavy feelings, and you look back to the early parts of the game with everyone hanging out on a cruise, at Costa Del Sol, marching in Junon, running amok at the Gold Saucer - just having all these fun good times.

I do remember how much you enjoyed the FF7 Rebirth music in this game. Depending where you are I know there is an orchestra that's going to be touring late summer that is solely performing FF7 Rebirth music. I definitely recommend going to their shows if it's near your area.

I figured I'd tell you this, because i found out the hard way, theres no trophy for defeating jules. I was so annoyed too after I spent so long and finally won. Also, theres no shame in bowing out. To me the end game brutal and legendary gauntlets in chadleys simulator is harder than Dark souls. Been at it for over a month and still haven't beat them all. The end game simulator battles are by far the hardest things in Rebirth.

Two things I learned you can do for the more difficult fights is to use magnify plus cure to heal the party at once. Magnify is probably one of the best materia in the game it’s good for both offensive and defensive spells. And use the precision defense focus materia on every party member to increase the window for perfect blocking

Queen’s Blood > Chocobo Racing > Space Ranger

It took me a few weeks to go back and play the game on hard mode after completing it on dynamic. Don't beat yourself up over it. You're doing some the most difficult stuff in the game outside of hard mode challenges. It's meant to take a while. :)

The parts you have left are definitely some of the most difficult in a first playthrough ^^ Gilgamesh Island is probably the hardest, with "Can't stop, won't stop" following close behind. After that it's pretty much just how much you like/dislike each minigame ^^ I feel so bad for you that you went throught the entire Galactic Saviours spamming the button ^^ Gentle reminder to always check if you can hold buttons instead of spamming in these situations :D

So happy I'm not the only one who was stuck for a frustratingly long time on the Gi card carnival. I also got stuck on the Cait Sith one too, but you got it in a fraction of the time it took me. Probably spent 6 hours on both of those games.

Post Main Story in my personal opinion is where the challenge truly begins. For me, Johnny's treasures that gave me struggles were: pirate shooting game (controlling the crosshair was horrid for me), last 3d brawler opponent, Aerith cactuar crush runs, and lastly the brutal and legenday bouts. ngl, there were a few moments I wanted to change to difficulty to easy mode for a few of the battles such as the party animal but Im glad I was stubborn enough to power thru. Treasure #55 will be by far the hardest challenge. For Gilgamesh and chadley combats, it may not be a bad idea to level up to max 70 off stream. with post game, gaining exp and ap is increased 3 times the original rate. Won't backseat or spoil how to, but there are certain spots where you can level from 50 to 70 in less than 15 min. Excited to watch her post-journey to obtain 88/88 treasure troves. Loving the content. Watched from the very beginning of Rebirth.

I’m going on a month since beating this game. I Haven’t played it since. So emotionally draining. Postgame depression is real lol. I’ll start hard mode soon though. My fave mini game would have to be the chocobo racing. But I did enjoy the majority of the mini games.

Please make sure you fight Gilgamesh. The rewards for beating him is worth it and one of the best rewards for side content I've come across in any video game. Can't wait for the follow up video. Your vids make my day

How to beat the last protorelic/Chadley fights? It's easy! You just have to have mastered the combat system, know exactly what every ability does and how to synergize them for maximum effect, have all the materia, max all the materia, understand perfectly how to equip all your materia, grind your character levels, understand how to maximize damage during stagger, (list continues...) See? It's easy! 😭

Hello Maggie, I been watching your play through of FF 7 rebirth. I been playing it myself I am trying to beat all the mini games in the game it’s my goal. I want to see you not get overwhelmed again like last video. Everything post game is hard it was for me. Get all the characters level 70 that will make the battles in the battle arena and other places easier with all of their stats maxed out also only do this if you want to keep the game sad and chapter 13 that way you’ll be able to fast travel pretty much anywhere on the map. Beating Jules focus on Tifa don’t worry about the number don’t worry about the noises. The game makes or Jules’s number and another track. I’ve learned that helps on that mini game depending on which hand you write with it’s easier to press the button like if the players right hand, it’s better when it goes . I have been overwhelmed myself many times with this game mainly with the mini games. Jules and 3D brawler are among the hardest ones I just do not like to see players of any video game become frustrated, overwhelmed, or experiencing other negative emotions. Video games are supposed to be for entertainment and enjoyment for gamers/players in your videos show me things I didn’t notice in the game during my play through. Good luck and finishing things for Final Fantasy seven rebirth and the current games are playing right now and future games

You definitely are not off your game! The Gi Nattak Queen's Blood challenge and the UPA Battle Arena one were some of the hardest things in the game. Took me so much longer than the other challenges. It's not just you. Thanks for the extra FFVII content! I need to cope with this series coming to an end and the long wait for more... Hope you won't get too frustrated with the harder stuff.

one thing for the fights on Gilgamesh island. you need special builds for it. Like maxed cure on all 3 party members. revival on all 3. Magnify on cure for instant quick healing when needed. Elemental materia linked to fire on the armor so phoenix's flames will heal you. atb boost. ect. Also helps if you leveled up all the important materia and max out to level 70. As exp increases a lot after you beat the game. Best spot to grind materia is the turks training facility 1 in gongaga. the fights in there are the easiest to farm quickly while building quick ap and exp. These late game battles all need specific builds. Like the middle managers battle arena fights you need the safety bit equipped on everyone or that gauntlet is a living nightmare. It takes away the ability to beat these endgame fights with just random builds and forces you to go specific strategies to beat them or you'll get wrecked all day long on them. Some of the last simulator fights have given me more trouble than Elden Ring did lol. The Devs of Rebirth amped the end game content difficulty to absurd levels. When i did it i assumed 3d Brawlers and Jules would be the hardest things for me to do. Lol was I wrong. I've been done with those for two months almost. But i'm still not done with the simulator, that crate smashing with Cait sith in the mansion which i just ignored for now. And Finishing the last few chapters of hard mode. Currently at 230 hours of play time. lol

Phoenix/Kujata must go in this order. Finish Kujata first, Phoenix revives him and is then weakened so finish Phoenix off using ice magic, then finish Kujata. Selecting your materia carefully will be crucial. You can do this!

Everything's been excellent Maggie, if I were you I would focus only on the Gilgamesh challenges and Queen's Blood end quest, but honestly, the one thing everyone will want to watch you react is all the Skywheel dates.
