Welcome to our channel! I am a blind mom to two girls and wife to my high school sweetheart, who loves to share inspiration, joy, creativity, and the reality of growth through the struggle, and through supporting one another. As a blind mama, and with one daughter who has Autism, I share lifestyle, craft/DIY, mom-life, disability-awareness, disability-etiquette, and guide dog/service dog related content, videos, and vlogs.
My family and I are in the process of transitioning this channel to a family channel, and the. name will be changing at some point in the near future. Thank you for your patience as we make these changes and make some important decisions about our channel and content.
We will be sharing about our journey with Evie's autism, life as parents with two kiddos, disability and differences and how they do (and don't) impact us and our family, and the same Crafty Blind Chick content which will be categorized when specific CBC videos are posted.. I'm so glad to find your channel! I'm also visually impaired, and I was just watching a very depressing bunch of comments on the blind woman who went missing in Peru. We really need to educate people about what we can do… I travel extensively alone and it still amazes me how much ignorance there is despite the amount of access to the Internet and information available at peoples fingertips. Anyway, I don't really like to do cleaning it, so you have put me in the mood to clean when I am next at home. I am currently in Singapore, since I do a lot of work in southeast Asia. Singapore is my vacation spot usually, so no need to clean up at the moment.

WOW!!!!! Oh my goodness, what your comment means to me... I hope the videos I have planned will be a good combination of “what we can do” and “we’re just your normal next door neighbor”. Above all, I want to normalize blindness, let people know it’s JUST another characteristic, another party of me! But, I believe you’re entirely correct, we need to educate and show people that blind people are out there doing EVERYTHING, we are not some spectacle to be gawked at or taken photos of without our permission. And, no one is entitled to intrude in our lives with their unwanted, unwelcome opinions suggesting our children’s lives are are “limited” by our blindness, when they absolutely are NOT. If anything, they’re lives, experiences, empathy, and understanding are ENHANCED and they lead one HELL of a life! I do not travel as extensively as you, but I DO travel, and I hope to share more of my travels in upcoming videos as well. Thank you so much for your comment-it is absolute inspiration to me today! ❤️

Thanks sooo much, Matt! I realize the mom content isn’t going to be for my entire blind audience and my blindness and guide dog content isn’t going to be for everyone in my sighted audience, but I hope that by bringing the two together, I’m able to show, in part, that blindness is just another part of me, that I’m also just another mom next door, and I do thinks in much the same way others do, just with a few modifications and accommodations! ❤️

And apart from one other RU-vid or, I don't know of many blind moms on the Internet. Do you know of any others. The one I'm thinking about is Joy Ross. But, once again, these videos help to educate people.

Oh Bozena, I have to tell you the fact that you thought of my family means SO MUCH to me! We ARE doing well, overall! I have been battling a severe bronchitis for four weeks now.... it’s really kicked me down. I’m very slowly getting better, but I’ve not had the energy to even touch my laptop, much less create content right now. I’m so sorry.... but I’ve had to continue to give myself time and permission to take care of my physical health. I’m hoping to be back in a couple of weeks time. The doctor said this could last even EIGHT weeks.... I don’t know how I would STAND that, but, I’m also already four weeks in so HEY!!! Halfway there! 😂 Lots of love, Nicole
