Hey hey hey! Lol
Been a while for sure.
Haven’t been racing because, lets not talk about how bank account looks like and racing isn’t the cheapest thing out there.
And also, life has been a bit tougher, but working on getting things back on track (haven’t stopped training though, lol).
But lets talk about why our bikes could chirp!
Usually it’s metal or some kind of rust somewhere on the bike causing the problem. Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell where at times.
I cleaned out the entire bike from front to back and the next time I rode it, it was okay and then boom, the chirp was louder. Upon closer inspection, I noticed one Jockey wheel/Pulley was rusted over a bit from the inside (CA had a lot of rain a couple weeks ago and I did go into some deep puddles twice and on top of that some random mini showers here and there didn’t help).
So yeah, there ya go. Don’t skip out on cleaning the jockey wheels! They may be small pieces that aren’t worth much, but they do need a little more love from time to time (not just a wipe down from the outside, lol).
Hopefully this helps!
