Switch the baking soda (or mix the two) for peroxide and you'll get a quicker reaction. The vinegar works as a debrowner on lignin browning and oxidation so thats why it further reduces the browning in the mattress :)
Great, thanks for the tip and explanation about the vinegar whitening process. I didn't know about using peroxide and don't have any at home but I'll keep it in mind for future cleaning attempts. I see you have some interesting cleaning videos yourself so I'll check them out
I am struggling to clean the stain, just soak the baking soda over the mattress and i left it for a 4wd right now😀😀, hopefully when I come back will be dry and clean finger cross🤞🏽
Haha, yeah it's a good quality child's mattress. We always used a protective cover on it and it wasn't used often in the last 3 years as our kids grew too big for it. Still got a few stains over the years so happy the baking soda and vinegar did the trick!
Hi Elizabeth. So sorry for the late reply. I'm sure it's fine to dry indoors but I never tried it. I figure it's just like drying clothes - in the sun when it's dry and warm or maybe inside with a heater going. Hope it all worked out for you.
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. Sorry for the late reply. If you can't get hold of a vacuum cleaner or some other blowing/sucking device then I guess you just need to sweep off the dry powder. Hope you had some success
