I dump the excess back into the paint bottle. Then I grab a Que-tip and mechanically stir up the pain to make sure i is dissolved in water. I dump that out and refile with fresh water and spray a bit then back pressure the nozzle then spray back pressure then spray. Dump the water and then clean water and repeat the spray and back pressure routine. Lastly I spray out what ever water is still in the cup and on to the next color. all that takes less than a minuet. I probably should do a video on that too.

Excellent tip. Wasted a lot of time spraying out old paint before we saw this.

I use a coffee can as a waist can for airbrush blowout, and small water only squeeze bottle. And do to a T what you do. No clogs from this method. Also after final cleaning after painting is all done on my lures. I keep all my airbrush parts apart and soak in a sealed Tupperware-container with a 50/50 mix of water and windex

You can use a spray bottle as well with just water. One thing i seen missed, after washing and blow back rinse again and use a papertowl or soft cotton rag and clean out bowl before spraying through. I can change colors in less than 30 seconds usually. Another thing that helps is start with light colors and go to dark colors when possible.

I'll do the same thing. I just use a old gallon jug with the top cut off at a angle to keep the handle on the side. Works well 💪

That looks like it works great for acrylic paint, what would you recommend for a lacquer paint? To use that much lacquer and put up with the odors

Thanks for this video, is great content!! Could you please help me understand one thing? I use to use my airbrush maybe omce or twice a week top, I also only use acrylic paints. I am used to deep clean it at the end of every session, but now I wonder if by doing so I am overdoing with cleaning. So my question is: how often should one deep clean an airbrush (i normally use a ultrasonic machine and cleaner). And when doing so, should I have to remove ALL parts? Thanks in advance for your help!!

I use an old coffee can filled with water and submerge the airbrush. Backflow a couple times then spray. Only issue is having to refill fresh water after every session

Can you use distilled water for a thinner?

Dont back flow the air pressure guys. Its damages the needle gasket o-ring and teflon washer inside the airbrush which will eventually cause paint to leak through behind the gravity cup

I use the same exact method, but I use baby formula containers cause I have so many of them lol

I pour out the color, then a bit of acetone, bubble it and blowout in the airbrush bottle. That´s all.

I just use an old windex bottle to spray water in it

I just use a paper towel to wipe the bowl out first.
