Hey Mac, can you help explain the timing chain and how it's supposed to be slack-wise? I noticed mine has a plastic gear too...wonder if they came like that from the factory. Just wondering whats acceptable and the manual i have isnt very clear
Plastic from the factory was a thing, they also retarded timing in the late 70’s motors, If replacing, consider ordering an early 70’s to potentially unlock some power
