A great tip to AVOID yellow pillows all together, PILLOW ZIP COVERS!!! They’re CHEAP! I put two on each pillow followed by my pillow cases. I change my sheets regularly and every month or so I take off one zip cover and wash it, and maybe every 4-6 months, I wash both zip covers. I’ve never had a yellow pillow in my life!! Also, if you go to sleep with wet hair, just throw a towel on top of your pillow!! This will also avoid staining. Hope this helps!
Hello, I discovered your channel today. Although I did not speak English, I LOVED her channel. I already signed up, and I will always watch your videos to also be a reason for me to strive to learn to speak English. (I put it in Google translator so I can write it). A big hug for you.
Is it ok that I LOVE Brittany and her videos? It' the only thing that calms me down after stressful days. She gives me inspiration to make places I stay more comfy and home-like. Brittany, the person I only follow on RU-vid, is one of the people who makes my life more bright.
Who else needs a brittany to come and clean their home?! Haha You are so creative when it comes to cleaning! 😍 love all of your cleaning hacks! They work so well! Xo
Wow I can’t believe I never thought of using a comb to clean your make up brushes. I’m a painter and we use wire brushes to clean regular brushes. Lol 😂
I learn so many wonderful tips and hacks from you, but I have to be honest and tell you I was a little horrified watching you clean your makeup brushes. It seemed so rough brushing them out with a comb. Also soaking them, even periodically, would eventually destroy the glue that holds the bristles in the ferrule. I think my brushes have lasted me as long as they have by using a gentler method. Lol but I openly admit i’m a little OCD when it comes to my makeup and brushes. Oh and where did you get the wooden handled dish brush and bowl. Very cute!! 😊😍
I have been folding fitted sheets forever it seems. When I was young and we went to a laundromat I would get people asking me to fold their fitted sheets for them. I even got paid sometimes to show them how I did it since it took me the same amount of time to fold a fitted sheet as a top sheet. I alway thought it was easy.
Sooo glad I "stumbled" across one of your videos a week or so ago... I'm hooked now! Watch at least 3-4 a day now! I've learned ALOT of helpful tips for a coean, organized home. Keep those great ideas coming! Blessings to you, Ryan, and your precious baby boy Carter! He's a doll baby, and y'all, are one gorgeous family! ♡♡♡
Girl, this is why you are my absolute favorite RU-vidr: I just watched your video twice and I’m planning to use each and every one of your tips. What I love most about your videos is that it’s apparent that you have done your research on the topics you’re talking about. It makes your content super high quality 💖 keep it up!! Thanks for sharing!
Ya...what a coincidence right...In the beginning I thought that is carter.. Later only I realized that was dog... Very cute dog..... I too love her videos... Worth watching each videos of her .. She is awesome..😍
I would love to see a video of Carter's updated daily schedule and what he's into and what he's eating. My son is 10 months and I love watching Carter, so I can see what to expect!
I'm so happy your channel is growing and more people are discovering your amazing and helpful videos!! You have an a wonderful personality and the world deserves to know you 💕💕
I literally found your channel 2 days ago and ever since I’ve been binge watching all of your videos! You are now my new favourite RU-vidr😍 my daughter is only a month younger than Carter (DOB: 6 Feb 2017) and she loves watching little Carter on the screen!! Sending love from the UK, keep doing what you’re doing 👌🏻
Your videos are LIFESAVERS 🙌🏻 I’m a Newlywed looking to start a family with my husband soon and you have so many great hacks that I come to over and over again for just generally organizing and keeping a clean home for us 😊 your family is the sweetest! Oh MY GOSH, when your dog ran away with the fitted sheet though lmao I must have watched that a million times. Before you rewound it I was like... woah, ghosts?! 😂
I just had a baby girl, my love and I are in the process of moving into our own place and you have truly inspired me so much!! I know exactly how I want to start this new life of ours and the further organization I want to bring to it now that we have a little one! I have to thank you for giving me guidence and these awesome tips through this crazy exciting time!!
My favorite way to clean my beauty blenders is to fill a large bowl with warm water. Saturate the sponges in water and pour castle soap directly onto the stains. Then, sprinkle in baking soda (it makes a world of difference). I squeeze the sponges in the soapy water until the water is super dirty. I discard the water and refill the bowl 2-3 more times and repeat the steps until the water is clear and the stains are gone. I think it saves more water than letting it run because you're washing all the sponges at once. A bar soap also works great with this method. Great video
@@poppyblue1662 Vacuuming a mattress regularly will reduce dust mites, etc. Sprinkling Baking soda deodorizes, does not clean. Oxiclean (mixed with water to form a paste) will remove stains.
A lot of these I hadn't seen before! The california roll method and the way you fold the sheet were new to me. I have a pro-tip for soaking the pillows. Since a lot of yellowing is from the skin's oils working into the fabric, do the soak with oxyclean and ammonia. The oxyclean is already good at whitening dinge, but the ammonia will cut through anything oil-based, and also help boosted the effectiveness of the oxygen-based bleach in the oxyclean. You can put 1-1.5 cups in the soak and then again in the wash (just never mix with chlorine bleach). It will not only remove grease and make your yellow clothes whiter, it will make the fabric feel a lot cleaner and softer too. Plus it is super cheap, can be used to dab away small oil stains on fabrics like silk, and can even take care of heavy oils like engine grease on mechanic's clothes!
My top cleaning hack is on how to clean a burned iron! You just have to rub a pill of paracetamol while the iron is on, the pill starts to melt and the burned stuff gets liquid too! Try it out :)
And on that topic, how to eliminate residual odor there, too? Nothing like getting a freshly washed tshirt out of a hot dryer and realizing the underarm area is still smelly. I've tried pre soaking, fast agitation, extra detergent, etc.
You add toothpaste to the armpit stain spread it out with a spoon then add a teaspoon of baking soda let it sit on there for 15-20 mins then wash that baby.. worked for me.. 😉
Sun drying is a great idea too . I've also heard you can crush up aspirin and make a paste and add it up the armpit stain.. but I haven't tried it yet.. lol.. Have a good day. 😉
Love that you were real about how nasty pillows get and why! 🤢 Thanks, good video! I would LOOOVE to know not only how to clean the darn textured treads on the bottom of a bathtub that get dirty as soon as you step in, but also if there’s a way to prevent them getting dirty, at least so quickly. I was searching all over RU-vid tonight and couldn’t find an answer.
I wouldn’t recommend soaking your makeup brushes. Water will travel up the bristles into the ferrel and loosen the glue over time or if you forget you can destroy the wood handle. I recommend using a Castile soap like Dr. Bronners, works like magic on makeup brushes.
So I tried your makeup cleaner, AMAZING! I soaked the brushes while I cleaned the sponges. The comb made them so fluffy, absolutely amazing! That's how I'm going to clean them from now on! Thanks for great tip!!!!
@@zachariahkovac2048 As with most things at Costco, the store brand from other stores costs less per unit than the name brands at Costco. I have found Aldi to have the best everyday price for white vinegar (and baking soda).
So I have been doing that bar of soap trick for years and it’s truly amazing ! You can wash your brushes like that as well . I have to say the best bar to use is the Cetaphil antibacterial bar . Then you know it’s getting super clean !!!! It works amazing
I would love to know how you tackle walls that grows mould too easily. Limescale stains in toilets & also how to re-caulk around sinks and bathtubs. Thanks Brittany. Love this video! Really helpful.
Oh my goodness! These are the best tips! A lot of times, the tips shared in these sorts of videos are kind of obscure. The California roll thing is going to change my life!!! I love the pillow tip too. Thanks Brittany for providing quality content 💜
Loved all the ideas in this video! I love your hack to folding a fitted sheet and how to clean a makeup sponge, I always wanted to look up hacks for both but never took the time and now they are all in one video! Love it!
The more I watch your videos and more I realize what a sweet, genuine person you are. That means a lot. Really appreciate all these tips. Looks like I'll finally get around to cleaning my makeup brushes, and happily so! Also Britney, can you tell us where you got that dish brush and little Ramekin that it sits in? I legit never ever clean my dish brushes and it's pretty sick. I do however clean my sink very regularly with this very disgusting dish brush. I'm clearly not winning here.
OMG that totally describes me when trying to fold a fitted sheet... "Starts out strong and eventually gives up, shoving it in the closet..." Every time I think I'm going to conquer it and I don't! Now I know what to do thanks to you! :-))
OMG! Your dog with the sheet is HILARIOUS!!! 😀😀😀 And then the music/sound you added sounds even more funnier...😂😂😂😂. These are some good tips/challenges, especially how to fold a sheet cuz I usually do the first step and then just roll it..lol...I'm like who cares, nobody is going to see how I fold it anyways but now that you taught me, I'll fold it the right way! Thanks so much for sharing these awesome tips/hacks! ☺👍
The beauty blender one is awesome. I've been using Dr. Bronner's soap and it has been a godsent! The makeup brush idea with the comb is SO smart! I am definitely putting my old cosmetology school rat tails to good use.
