We are in Central PA, Our school district does not give homework, unless it's to study for a test. The philosophy of our district is, kids are busy, families are busy, students have jobs, some live on a farm, some families run businesses. Our district really gets kids ready for life, not just college. We love it.

As a fifth grade teacher, I do not get a lot of homework. Most homework is just incomplete class work. I do, however, think homework teaches responsibility. They must remember to bring something home, do it, and return it, and the time given. That is a valuable skill that they will need later in life.

My ex step mom used to clean our rooms maybe once a month or so and wash our bedding and I always LOVED it when I came home to that surprise and she always made the bed so perfectly 🥰 sometimes on really special says she'd leave new clothes for us on the bed that she went out and bought for us. Core memories for sure, I'm sure your kids enjoy it as well!!

As always thanks for a great video! Gilmore Girls was "everything" when my daughter was a teenager. We watched & re-watched for years! We chose "Where You Lead I Will Follow" as our mother/daughter dance when she got married & we invited all the moms & daughters to join us! Love Gilmore's!

Some school districts are getting away from homework. My grandkids school gives them time to get their work done at school so the only homework they might have is what they didn't get done in class. I'm so glad this is changing. I remember spending hours at my grandparents house on a weekend sitting at their dining room table doing homework. ugh!

Truthfull my parents taught us to clean up after ourselves. It was a show of appreciation and respect for all the other things they did to keep a home a home. Also taught us independance and so many other life skills.

Wow, your HOME DECOR COLORS are so coordinated since you added the blues in the dining room and girls' shower curtain. The coordination really stood out in your preview intro reel. My mom never cleaned my room. That was my job. She had enough to do without doing mine and my brother’s rooms. We also washed dishes and helped with cooking supper. All kids need chores to do.

I love my kids' school district. The only homework they get is 20-30 minutes of reading, depending on grade level. Or if they do not finish their class work they might end up bringing it home to finish.

If you want a bigger rug for the living room, you can go pick out a durable soft carpet and they can trim out the edges for you and make a custom rug. If you ever wanted to do that....

I also wash cabinets with Murphys Oil Soap, but after a while they start to look dull. So I spray Liquid Gold on a rag and go over cabinets after washing. It makes them shine and also helps repel dust.

Im glad my mother never came in and cleaned my room. I would have hated that!!! Once I reached a certain age (maybe 4th grade), it was my room, my space, and it was up to me to take care of it.
