This should be titled: "Cleaning a dirty ship model with period-correct techniques" like swabbing the decks. OMG I was screaming to just get a can of compressed air or a small compressor like for airbrushing and do 90% of the work in < 2min.

What a pity Models should never be left in the open air because it will ultimately ruin hours of work Always arrange them in a display box .. (aquarium style)

You seem to know about model ships, maybe you can help me out. I.have one that is 28" long and says "galleon" painted on the side of it, wood with leather for flags... does it ruin the value if I fix up the broken sticks and clean it?
