Really good video. I'd suggest not touching the pickup tube with your hands. This can contaminat the water. Also flush should be done with filtered water. This will prevent the contaminat you are trying to avoid by not drinking your tap water. Other wise a very good video
Lol the people saying "Oh the audio cut out, Bad Video" obviously are missing brain cells. It's self explanatory.... Drain the system, Mix 50/50 water and vinegar, put it in the machine, let it sit for a while, the run each water button for about a liter, then unplug and let it cool, re-drain, then use regular water to flush the system out until you can't taste or smell vinegar. Then re-drain and use your normal filtered water. Not hard to understand, the audio cutting out isn't a big deal.
I have no idea how to deal with this thing and I could use all the information i can, even if it is self explanatory. It's silly to assume those of us who have no idea how to handle this due to missing manual book have missing brain cells. I get what you're trying to say, but, it's unnecessary to mention. The description of what you detailed in your comment about the machine is the necessary and helpful bit. So thanks for that, at least :)
@@justinyoungstown you are truly unique and special. Everyone is different in every way. Don't get mad over this. Just accept and and understand stand that your fellow humans are special and unique just like you
Thank you for the video. I haven’t clean my cooler for the past 8 years thinking when it says” self clean” meaning I don’t have to clean it myself until dirty stuff came out from the water. Anyhow your video is very clear and well instructed I was able to clean my cooler. Thank you
Thanks for taking to the time to post this video. Prior to using my Whirlpool bottom feed cooler I turned the hot water option off. By doing my doing so, does water actually go into the hot water chamber?
Hey as Tony the tiger would say grrrrrrrrreeeeat video. Just cleaned it with bleach water tastes way better and it worked just like you said. I ran several gallons of hot water. I'm going to run vinegar later. You rock thanks for one cool video. Hey I bubble gum videos and pictures all the time. Well done mate. I have some good friends/family aka boss in Shadwell Thetford. I"m the US Canada rep for SoulPad tents. Of course some I"'m also good friends with the Wicked Crew , Jeno, Garth, Markie and Tony. I'm so jazzed you did this video I had no clue what to do. Cheers. and stay safe.
I am getting no volume on this. Does anybody know if once you have the vinegar in and you plug the machine in, do I turn the hot and cold buttons back on?
1 part Vinegar - 1 part Water Let it fill the system fully and run the taps so the mix is in the hoses. Leave it for 30-60min, then flush it out, rinse with regular water until no smell of vinegar, repeat if can taste vinegar once smell is gone Great video, thanks!
The person holding the camera was blocking the volume. The camera person makes me feel like I am on a roller coaster! Lol Thank you for the info I just couldn’t watch anymore. Maybe you could update the video soon? 😉💯
I haven't cleaned my dispenser in 11 years and I'm still alive. The water comes out clean. Just don't use dispensers with plastic reservoirs/pipes/wands. Stainless steel only.
If you have the middle unit (the one where the jug goes underneath) and you're up for it, the lid has two screws on the back. Remove those and the lid pops off (it sometimes gets stuck near the buttons). Next you remove two screws off the reservoir cover and you'll have access to the reservoir. There might be a build up in there that needs a little scrub with a new toothbrush or something. Then you can run the flush again. Sounds like a lot of work but it really isn't, if you can set aside an hour. You'll only need a Phillips screwdriver to get the screws off.
so where can I get parts for my Viva 8liech-sc-ssd. My cold water valve drips. The number on the manual is disconnected and no local shops know anything.
Having the same problem, I think it’s a mineral deposit that vinegar should clear it up, but I would like to learn how to take the unit apart to get to the valve
What?!!! I don't get it! Poor, bouncing video, video sound out at times!Too much going back and forth between various units, containers, and solutions! At least he tried!
Hi great video. I gave the wife an Estratta (Viva,Primo) bottom feed coffee cooler. The first one they sent(a Primo) never worked. Eventually they sent another unit(a Estratta) and told us to dispose of other new machine. The second Estratta had been pumping out average 6 cups a day for past 2 years. Every so often in coffee mode the pod area would back up and make a mess. I would clean the grounds from pod chamber and the needle on door, machine would work for another 50 cups before backup. We have always used distilled water. I never once cleaned machine as your video suggests. 6 months ago machine stopped giving coffee. The buttons work as they should until you want it to start. When start button is depressed machine does nothing. The hot water works for my tea, and the cold water also works as new. I never disposed of the first machine. In your experience do you have any troubleshooting suggestions? My wife loves the machine and any help is appreciated. Peace. Andy and Marie
Thanks, lost my manual, but remembered it needed to be cleaned. Jus?t one qkuestion, why not reuse the cleaning bottle, it seems like a dose of vinegar would be good be for giving the bottle a scrub.
Primo says it's fine to re use the bottle. Doing mine today an will see if it makes a difference. It's plastic I'm sure it's not holding any chenicals.
This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ru-vid.comUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
and for all the haters with ''technicality issues''.... come on guys, have common sense this is not a video to show off it's for information purposes take a chill pill and grow up !
We just bought our first new top loading dispenser from Hamilton Beach, does it need to be cleaned prior to using it? The water tastes so much like plastic. Or would it be the PRIMO jug of water we are using?
My unit is not dispensing cold water and my unit is fairly new. I have the Glacial brand that you can put a K-cup. Any solution you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I'm hoping you can help. I did this with mine (cleaned), and now it's not sucking up any water. Can you please help me? I'm in the states, but I have the exact same one you're using as a model in this video 1:46 . Not sure what happened. It's in, the hot is off, etc. Thank you! ♥️
Also, Just so you know, it keeps beeping every so often, like it does when the water in the jug is low. It's full though. I've pulled the top off of the water jug and out, thinking maybe it didn't get a good seal or something, but still doesn't matter.
Even though the sound and video quality was not good. I got the information I needed. Thanks for the video. Does anyone know how often should i do this?

hello i have a Self Cleaning Hidden ViVA Bottle Water Cooler and the problem is that hot water is dispensing from the cold water side. A refrigerator technician checked it he say the circuit board is fried. I cannot find anywhere to purchase one online. I went on the viva web site and there is no parts available there. Can you point me in a direction where i can purchase one please.

Thanks helpful video- when you drain each tap of a liter of vinegar solution. Does the water cooler need to be on (mine also has hot water tap)? If so. Why?
Hi. Would you be able to let me know why my whirlpool self clean is not dispensing cold water? I can get only hot water. Thanks for sharing this video.
I have a bottom load Hamilton Beach and I’ve moved house a couple times and it’s water pressure when pouring water has gotten weak and slow. I’ll definitely be trying this method out in hopes of the tubes getting a good cleaning and stronger pour so it doesn’t take me 7 minutes when getting a drink.

Hello, thank you for this video. How do we open and clean the reservoir inside. I know you just put vinegar in it.... I am asking because I went to the docs office today. They had a guy cleaning the machine. I asked if I could watch because I wanted to know how it's done. He said no because if roaches are inside you'll complain. 😱😱😱😱
