Start your detailing business and get your first few customers: detailgroove.c...

Great video. It says a lot of you to know how to work with customers, and not let the customer walk out. Getting a decent detail job is hard to come this days. Keep doing what you are doing. Much better to work a less detail-oriented job then to lose those $150. I believe it is a great price. Me personally, I have always cleaned my cars but I know how hard it can be. I could see you were drenched in sweat, visible even on black. That just speaks that even working on a budget, you still deliver hard work. My dad is also a business owner, and he always has told me, "a successful business person never lets a potential customer walk away." Keep going on your dreams.

The other scam customers try is to say - give me a lowball price, and I'll refer 10+ customers blah blah blah. To which I say. No discount on my quoted price, but after you refer those 10 customers in 6 months, I'll give you 50% off your next job....

How's it going Oscar, I usually use my steamer to get the indentations out on fabric/leather and would use my hands to help massage the material back to normal. Give it a try, keep up the good work man!

Hi Oscar 👋🏽. Great video like always. Sorry to hear about you running out of gas in this one. This creates a great example of why a helper comes in handy. You can send them to get gas while you watch everything so the down time would be less and you can get back to working quicker. Speaking of helper, where is yours in this video?

I have 3 Polishers, Chemical Guys Torq , Porter Cable along with a Harbor Freight. The HF is the polisher I'll be using on carpets. Will the 3inch backing plate & brush you are using fit on the Harbor Freight polisher.

strange, but for me the steamer seems to slow me down. i think because im not saving a step or two, but adding an extra step. so in the case without the vap ill spray cleaner, use a brush, mfiber wipe and mfiber dry. with the vap ill still end up spraying the cleaner on most of the areas especially fabrics and using the brush on spots, and then adding in the steamer over top of this in alot of areas - or end up adding cleaner over the steam depending on smudges/stains. What is it with the steam process that saves y'all time? just using it on the hard plastics and floor mats? or what please?

Do dealer flips on leather seats I paint them with rattle can paint. Sem and malco brand. You can also have paint place make you exact color in spray can. You take head rest they do rest for like 40 bucks. You rub paint with your finger on cracks as it drys it fills cracks then spray over. I'm so good I don't even tape the area. You can or cardboard piece. In case you over scrub need way out situation. Same for panels. I have over hundred rattle cans.

if there is junk in the car, like empty bottles and other garbage, do you take it with you or do you leave that at the customer? and do you charge extra for it or is it included in the price?

It is included in the cost. I carry trash bags with me and throw all the obvious trash away. I take the trash bag with me.

Do you only do interiors? Was this just 4 hours on the interior? How long does it take you to do a full interior and exterior. It took me 8 hours on my hs teachers car. And I didn't do a 3 step buffing

I primarily do interiors but do exterior work as well (wash and wax, paint correction, engine cleaning, etc). It depends what a full detail means

If you want to remove the indentations from leather seats, you can use heat from a heat gun. Of course be careful and start with low temperature. Removes most of the indentation if not all of it. You will need to work the leather with your hands and finger.

If a customer is looking to hire someone to do a job, it's because they don't want to / or can't do it themselves. They consider their time to be more valuable than yours. If a customer lowballs me , I ask if they would spend hundreds on equipment and do it for their ( lowball) price ? If they say yes - ask them how soon they can start working for you.

There is very little water being introduced to anything. I'm not holding the steamer directly to the wiring and hammering it down. I don't spray a bunch of APC onto anything.

Uhh.. not entirely sure what your question is? Typical pricing for a full interior cleaning is between $180 to $240. Just the interior

The range is dependent on size and/condition of the vehicle. The work done is the same, but if the client has a large/ very dirty vehicle you're going to charge more for time spent/ cost of materials used.

4-5 hours of work. Probably used $20- $30 worth product. Detailed areas that don't usually get cleaned. Yeah, $240 sounds about rite but every business ain't for everybody. You want a cheaper job done go to a cheaper person. It's simple

altamash rathore the psi is the strength that the machine sprays the water,(pounds per square inch) and the components will have a limit that says "3000 psi maximum" or whatever and that means you can't take that part whether it's a gun or hose and put it on a machine stronger than 3000 psi. There will also be a flow rate but usually it's not as strict as pressure

Depends on the brush and how you used it. A microfiber towel could damage leather if you're aggressive enough with it

That fucker was easy.. I wouldn't have charged him 240 anyway.. probably 175 and bang it out in an hour or two. I have a shop set up though.. so I can do that. I hear what you are saying about the 150 worth of work thing but the flip to that is you can have someone with a real dirty pig call you and pull that shit and if you never saw it before that can burn you. You might get a car that you can't even get close to looking good for 150 bucks worth of your time then they don't like what you did and you know the rest. Or the flip side is you end up doing a 250 detail for 150 just to make them happy. I tell them the price they don't like It I tell them sorry I couldn't help them. I been around awhile and detailing is secondary in my business to selling used vehicles so I pretty much pick and choose. Nice video.

Rates in the states are insane lol. Where I come from everyone washes their own car pretty much on weekly basis. For a car wash u pay like 20$ inside and out. And even if it's like super dirty only 100$ lol

There are people here and businesses that do that for cheap but they're not like real detailers,they're cleaners that quickly and cheaply do it and send it out, a detailer is all in the details. I have people often brought their cars to me because they didn't like what the other guys quickly did and now they don't even bother with them

$150 to do a SUV with 3rd row seating and a cargo bay in the back? Seems fair to me, He cleaned little areas that i personally would have skipped over on my personal vehicle, but yet this is his budget clean? I would love to see his thurough clean, he cleaned everything from the floors and kick panels, to the headliner and the console knobs... His price is fair in my opinion.
