Very special car for camping trip. Very interesting video creator channel I'm very enjoyable to watching your video thanks you so much for your sharing please
I cleaned my awning this spring with Arm & Hammer Scrub-Free Mildew Stain Remover cleaner on a swiffer holder wrapped with a microfiber cloth. Looks like new.
Thanks for the info. It looks like a lot of work. I appreciate the product info because I didn’t know about them and my just sold trailer would have looked nicer. Maybe the new trailer will look better longer if I follow your cleaning tips.
Thank you for watching! It did take a better portion of the day but we were doing some filming along the way as well! I think each time we give it a good cleaning - it makes keeping it clean a little easier. We just got back from a trip and it was very dirty from some wet and dusty roads. The dirt just wiped right off! Will need to do some work on the black streaks again but it only took 15 mins to get it clean with the wash and wax product we use for touchups (we did another video on that).
We have been watching you faithfully, learned so much, we travel with our Golden Retriever, We love Desi so much, and will put her in our prayers, they are the best of our family, and will keep you and her in our thoughts, thanks for making your family part of ours.
@@WinesPinesandCanines Yep, he hears my coffee lid go on in the morning, I let him out to go potty, and find him laying by my pickup door.. NOT going anywhere without him, BTW, on a funny note, my wife of 43 years gets a kick out of Troy, when the clips show him in the storage area of the 19fsb, when she inevitably remarks about my size,( I dont miss a lot of BBQ!) and I tell her, I sure could get in the same space, but.. you would find my bones next spring, as I might not get out!! Thanks again folks, for being part of our family!!
Ha! Now that is a ready to travel dog! Good for him. And lol - will someday post the video of getting back out. Been two years since first did it - getting older is no fun 😂
Desi was a great supervisor. We use the simple green and the black streak cleanser, but the other three were new to us. The camper looks great, and yes, you could hear the difference when you ran your hand across. I hate when you have to roll the awning up wet. It’s OK if you’re going to put it back out. I’ll ask Bill if he has any suggestions. 303 is awesome. We use it on our kayaks. It helps so much. I like that little bottle. I’ll have to tell Bill about the 303 product for the tires. Y’all can definitely come see us on the way through or back. Praying Desi gets a good report.
Hi. We just went took our GP 19BH to BC Canada over the 4th July weekend... thinking we would miss the craziness of campgrounds in the U.S. Well turns out that is Canada Day weekend! Just as crazy as the 4th down here, minus the fireworks. Live and learn "Eh" Hope your Canada trip went well.
Lol - yes with Canada Day being July 1st (I spent a number of years growing up in Canada, eh!) I can imagine it was difficult to get a place to camp! But BC must have been beautiful either way. It is on our bucket list! Thank you - we didn't get all the way to Canada this time - Desi was doing well but not well enough for 4 days in the truck each way. So, took the shorter trip to the Finger Lakes. But hopefully soon! Hope you are putting the 19BH to good use with some more summer trips! Appreciate the watch.
Hi again. Your videos are great. Informative ... and fun . Couldn't find anything on tires though ( or the fridge door, but that's a story for another time ;). We bought our '19 used. It came with what is called the "off road pkg". ( 2" Lift and bigger wheels & tires ). We are leaving on a long trip later this summer ( everything's long from the Keys ), our tires are 6 years old. With the hot sun we have down here we're probably replacing the tires. Our "off road pkg" comes with an aggressive tread 235/15. I have read on forest river forums that the trailer pulls much better with the Endurance tires you are polishing up on this video! Including mpg. Any ideas? Thnx .....Nice tip on the Meguiar's Kit. Worked great !
Thank you for the kind comment! So glad you are enjoying and truly appreciate the support! And glad the Meguiars worked for you - it really did a nice job for us as well. So on the tires - we switched over to the Endurance a few years ago. We really liked the Westlakes that were on it but couldn't find them except on Etrailer. We had a trip we wanted to change the originals out for and couldn't get them in time. So, we did go with the Endurance (225/15). And they were less expensive. They have been fine - about 7,000 miles on them so far. But really don't notice that much difference except a little less "bounce". But not so much that I would make a change based on that alone. We were hoping to see a mileage bump but can't tell any so far on that either. We may switch back to the Westlakes next time. Just because we like the look of that tire. But- overall - Endurance are easier to come by, perform well and are (were?) less expensive. Where are you headed for the summer? And what happened on that fridge door?
@@WinesPinesandCanines I get you what you mean about bounce. Less is definitely better ! And 300 for Westlakes seems a bit steep ( e-trailer). Trailer Tire manufacturers for the most part are unknowns to me so I am .. wary. Ha. Costco has a 225/75 15 E for a 100. But its a name I don't recognize. Greenball . Decisions decisions. We're heading to the Black Hills SD BWO the Ozarks ( moochdock ) . Then a few stops in Wyoming ( Flaming Gorge is nice ) . Then somehow we need to get to Silver City NM. I have a feeling that means the 4 corners area ! I need to finish charting it out ! So on to the fridge. We bought the Geo Pro about a year ago. There have been numerous issues , loose screws ....and improvements. (The best being your King Bed idea. I'm 6'4" ). But on our first trip out of the Keys ( Ortona Lock - Army Corp ) we open the fridge door , and the whole outer cover of the door ( stainless ? ) slides right off. Bam ! And its heavy. Kind of snaps back together. And then falls off a few months later. RRRRRRR. Haven't felt like taking it off to fix it because there really isn't much room. Next time I'm getting out the glue. Thnx again !
We definitely don't regret the Endurance tires. Just like those off road tires haha. Had someone come over at a rest stop once to tell us how great they looked! Black Hills are beautiful! That will be a great trip! Wyoming also is a fave. Flaming Gorge has been on our trip schedule twice and we keep having to push it off "until next time". But looks amazing. Oh - that would be annoying on the fridge. Think the glue might be a good idea. Just FYI - ours has some scratches so we looked to see if we could get another stainless panel. Nope - could only find the whole door (and that was difficult to track down!) and that was $300++ soooo sticking with the scratches and will add some stickers lol.
Man that was a job! So the 303 SiO2 rinse off protectant wouldn’t work well on the fiberglass side panels? I used it on my truck and it was so easy and even works on glass. Beads like crazy. Spray on wet truck and rinse off. Easy as that. It’s not cheap but for how easy it is I’m going to try it especially the front where the bugs splat.
It was a bit of a job lol. Luckily was the last of the cooler spring weather so at least it was a nice two days to tackle it. Assume the 303 Protectant would work on protecting the fiberglass as well - haven't checked that out though. They really are a great line of products. Our cap was pretty flat looking - lots of oxidization so we researched how to remove, found the manufacturer and called them and they recommended the Meguiars. Feels like glass now. But will look into that 303 product to help maintain - thanks for the tip!
Great video, I have been trying to do a wash video but have had no luck with the products I have tried, I will have to get the kid and give it a shot. Happy camping and give Dez a hug from us.
Hi! Thank you - appreciate. It has been a few weeks and we are still amazed how slick it feels lol. How is the 2nd camper coming along? Looks like a fun project! And Desi says thank you!
They are sturdy! But also a little heavy (about 15lbs each without stuff in them). We are trying to come up with something easy to DIY that is lighter and still gives us the use these do.
Great work!!! Good info on the products too. We do ours by hand too…. But we usually always have direct sun here in Florida lol we plan on heading north too!!!
Hi guys! Glad to hear you are getting on the road - where you headed? And lol on Florida - as we lived there for years, we are all too familiar with that bright sun haha!
Nice! We were talking about Michigan today. With Desi no longer able to travel to high elevations, we were talking about places here on the east coast that we have never travelled to. Michigan looks like a good spot!
@@WinesPinesandCanines as I’ve only just started looking at RV places in my neck of the woods, blue lake RV resort just literally 6-7 miles south of us is highly recommended. There are a couple north of CDA Idaho that are recommended as well. We ourselves are traveling to Mt for our first trip, in wolf creek Mt where we honeymooned for our 1 year anniversary. Wolf Creek is on I-15 by Helena Mt. Nice cozy place.
We are glad to see you guys back and ready to hit the road ! We were just wondering when you will be here in Florida to clean our trailer ? Have a great trip !
We are definitely ready to get back on the road. Hopefully all tests come back ok this week. And ha! Definitely a job - not sure we want to tackle a second time lol. Hope you guys are doing well - any upcoming travel plans?
Maybe you should have used some of your RU-vid fortunes and hired this job out. 🤣 Looks like a heck of a shoulder workout. Great job and of course bacon treat wishes for Desi. ( what's considered a high elevation )
Hahaha! Not sure it would cover lol. And it definitely burned a few calories. So cardiologist said anything above 3000 feet should be avoided. Really limits where we normally travel to. But, making us think of new areas to go to! Thanks for the support as always.
I thought I had watched this video already. Anyways, it has been bothering me how grungy my camper has gotten. I am sure it is because the roof needs cleaning. I have yet to clean the roof. I have been on it one time and it felt scary. Probably like back it up it takes practice. I need to get comfortable getting on the roof.
Oh - I do not like the roof. That is Troy’s job lol. He doesn’t mind heights like that and luckily doesn’t bother him. But completely sympathize. But you are right - likely just takes a few times. Maybe start slow - just walk around a few times and work up to cleaning? Tomorrow is cleaning day for us at the storage unit lol. All that hard work and it needs a bath again! This time we are just going to use the waterless wash to get the grime off.
Looks like you are at a state park. They don’t mind you washing your camper? I was curious because I wondered how you clean your camper when you are on the road.
Yes - we were at a state park. We reviewed all the rules they sent us in the email, checked the website and spoke to someone at a 1-800. Couldn’t find any indication that it was against the rules and we had a park ranger drive by a few times. But might depend on the park! On the road we bring along a bottle of Aero Cosmetics waterless wash (works great!) and if we are at the storage unit, we have been known to bring multiple gallons of water jugs so we can rinse the roof 😂.
Strange! So underneath is black? Ours is black on top but would definitely prefer anything but white underneath (well maybe not ANYTHING)! Once it cools off (ha!) we are going to tackle the awning again - have been making notes of products to try.
not sure if you know but i want to get a bigger tv for my trailer we have the same one. i cant figure out how the tv mount disconnects ive looked multiple videos cant find anything any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
So haven’t tried to remove the tv yet. Ours is giving us some issues with pixelating but we haven’t circled around to switching out yet. We are going on a trip in the next few weeks so will take a closer look one evening. Are you trying to get the tv off the mount or take the mount out all together? I know our cabinet is open behind it so if we take the speakers out we can look down behind the tv - may give you a better look?
