We always keep marine life in mind when doing our cleanups. Our teams take the proper measure to ensure that marine life isn't harmed in the process. Everyone plays a vital role in helping to protect the environment for future generations to come and we're glad we get to make an impact every day. 💪
Thank you so much for your interest in cleaning the oceans! You can find our upcoming community events on our website here: 4ocean.com/cleanup-calendar If you don't see an event near you now, scroll to the bottom of the cleanups calendar page and click "Sign up to be a volunteer". You can also take action immediately by spreading the word about our company, cleaning up within your community, and reducing the amount of single-use plastic in your routine.
Great clean up. Some people are so nasty. They would never throw trash on their own floors, but they don't think twice about crapping up the spaces they share with others.
These guys are the best! Anyone can pitch in and help, wherever you are. Rivers, creeks, lakes, there is a large water source anywhere you find human habitation. And they all are riddled with garbage. Taking an afternoon with friends and family, or complete strangers, even, to pick up trash in these aforementioned areas makes a huge impact!
We agree! We encourage everyone to join the cleanup movement. Even if you don't live near the ocean, cleaning up trash on land makes a difference as most ocean plastic comes from land-based sources. Yewww! 🤙
So so so much respect for you guys. Thank you all so much for doing everything you can to save our oceans ❤️ the world needs more people and organizations like this.
i learned about you guys in my science class and you guys inspired my best friend and i to reduce plastic bags in our home towns. we went to local grocery stores and handed out reusable bags to everyone that we bought from a fundraiser. and i wear my bracelet everyday so thank you for taking the world in your hands to make it a better place💙
I love everything 4ocean does so I told my mom about it and she bought me 2 4ocean bracelets and I hate when people litter so we use reusable water bottles
Hi there, we'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. Our revenue is being invested in our clean ocean mission, which includes cleanups, staff, marketing to raise awareness, donations to ocean charities, and new ocean cleanup technologies. Since we have our captains and cleanup crews out 7 days a week, the total amount can vary from day-to-day, and we often clean beyond that 1 pound.
I agree! Give a hoot don't pollute! I carry anything until I find a can! I moved to South Austin and from my home to the store, one bag for trash, one for alluminum. When l got home I had mud from head to toe and didn't even realize it. Anyway, when I moved I did the same thing near a convenient store, wow, 5 boxes full of trash. I couldn't budge it! Someone came and got it! I was something grateful and happy! 😊🎇💖
That's super inspiring to hear, Lisa, thank you for doing your part! We're sure that your actions will also influence others to get out there and pick up trash wherever they can! 🙌
@RjGaming Thank you so much, we truly do appreciate your words. We definitely understand how important our job is, and we're incredibly proud to continue to help the ocean stay plastic-free. We're all in this together.
I don't understand some people. All they have to do is pick up whatever ..Just clean up what they have left After. Why is that so difficult to do? Ya guys are awesome. Great appreciation...
I’m all for this, most people have no clue of how much plastic, ceramic and other materials end up in the inlets and estuaries. I pick up trash every Friday/Saturday while out fishing and seems like a never ending battle. Most of the trash is left by tourists. They should ban plastic bags in favor of paper or some biodegradable alternative.
I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin first time I seen this type of action. Good idea good for the land n good for the scenery. Thanks to all who contributed to the clean up. Looked like fun n amazing every things picked up helps.....
These guys are awesome!! The work they do is Gods work God made this beautiful world and the Ocean and they are cleaning it after dumb people trash it! It's hard to believe how much trash they cleaned off and around that small Island! You guys really do make the world a better place!! God bless you all!!!!
Hey there, Ernesto! Definitely check out our Community Events Calendar to see when we'll be holding an event in your area! 4ocean.com/cleanup-calendar/ We hope to see you soon! 🤙
Thanks for all the love! Here are a few ideas as to how you can get involved: 1. Say no to single-use plastic and use sustainable alternatives such as a refillable bottle or reusable shopping bag. 2. It's estimated that over 80% of ocean plastic comes from land-based sources. When you see trash on the ground, pick it up and don't pass it by. 3. We're showing the world how real this problem actually is. Introduce 3 friends them to our social channels so they can join the cleanup movement.
While all of our daily cleanups are done by paid 4ocean employees, we do offer community events in which folks are able to volunteer. We're constantly adding to the calendar that can be found here: 4ocean.com/cleanup-calendar/
Hi there! There's several ways you can get involved with 4ocean's mission regardless of where you're located. You can volunteer in your community and raises awareness on the causes and effects of ocean plastic, have cleanups of your own, and especially reduce your use of single-use plastic. Sometimes all it takes is a couple of friends and family to help make an impact. 🤙🌊
Hey Shubham, we're always working on expanding to high-impact areas that could use our help. We hope to make it to India sometime in the future. In the meantime, we encourage you to create a cleanup of your own with some friends to help raise awareness. Your actions can inspire others in the community and make a difference. 💪
I hope when I'm older (I'm 14 right now)I can help you guys out and be apart of the team what you guys are doing is great I'm subscribing😁❤❤(I live in Brooklyn and I know there are places way dirtier than just the beach I go to with my family)
We're glad to hear you're committing to pulling a pound of trash from the ocean every month! Although applicants must be 18+, definitely keep an eye on our community event's calendar for when we have the next one you can attend. We host coastal cleanups and education villages in different locations each time.
I love how you said “if we can nug people in the right direction “ it makes me think of an Astroid headed for earth promising apocalypse but the best approach would be slightly nuging it to change its course. So In a way maybe this impending climate change causing Global warming could be “nugged” in the same manner. If just everyone changes just even a little bit , our destiny will change
Hey Brian, we appreciate the love! You are able to stay up to date with our events calendar by checking out our website here: 4ocean.com/cleanup-calendar/ 😎
I am uneasy about your whole operation as I learned about your organization thru a video titled 4ocean scam? And they did bring up some interesting points
Hey Manuel, we did post a response in the comment section of that video and it's pinned at the top. If you have any additional questions after reading that, please feel free to message us. We'll be happy to answer any questions or concerns. 🤙
I also seen both videos and he has a good point? Also how come there is more people helping from like the police force then there were from 4 ocean with all the money you make should have a massive crew ? That island should be covered in people paid from 4 ocean helping or even volunteers which already knew about what your doing, where was the event for people to join which should have been posted for people to come over for the day and help ? With all the volunteers with merchandise on them like tops and hats they bought from you. Dont get me wrong I love what your doing and will be buying the straw from your website and a bracelet hopefully but you should have more people and awareness out there by now to have a lot of money and bigger crews unless those videos are true?
Hi Hayden, We have a crew of nearly 400 spread across Bali, Haiti, South Florida and now in Guatemala where we're ramping up operations. In those crews, there are several teams at each location. For this cleanup, we partnered with the City of Miami's Marine Division to cleanup, but also had crews still working their routes ranging from West Palm Beach, FL to Miami.
Great question! Everything we collect is brought back to our facility where it is carefully sorted and prepared to be recycled. Anything that can be recycled, gets recycled. In South Florida, what can’t be recycled is taken to Solid Waste Authority in West Palm Beach to be turned into energy. Solid Waste Authority is the lowest emission facility in the country. In Bali and Haiti, what can’t be recycled, we are storing for a future project. 🤙
Hi Brando, we're always working hard on traveling to new places that could use our help. We've passed this location suggestion along to our team to see if we can ever make it there in the future. 🌎
Isn't it shocking to see what can be found during a small cleanup? Definitely check out our help center on our website! You can fill out an inquiry and send it over to our leadership team. 🙂

Fuck that. ♻️🌍♻️EARTH🌎FIRST♻️🌏♻️! What goes around, comes around, when you decide to ignore your neighbors and the rest of the world, it will come back to bite you in the ass. That's why 4ocean is a GLOBAL effort and while I might not completely agree with how the company does business, I still fully support their goal and hope that one day they are able to achieve it.
Its a great thing what that organization is doing the only problem is in the time they spent cleaning that up area up ten times that much trash was getting thrown all over Miami come on people why cant we respect the place that gives us life
That's why it's important to spread awareness and educate others on how serious the ocean plastic pollution crisis is. Only by showing people the damage that's been done will they realize change needs to be made. This is a global issue and we're all in this together!
@@4Ocean oh makes sense that I didn't recognize it, I'm not much of a coffee drinker, and the few times that I do decide I want some, I usually try to make it myself. Thanks for the quick response! 😁♻️🌏
@@4Ocean thank you as an environmental specialist I have seen it all and have contributed to to many. Won't elaborate but all of you hit the trenches hard. For that you have my respect.
If we can get like 5 mil people to raid a military base, why can't we get 5 mil people to clean the oceans? Or clean the roads? Or help fight climate change?
This video actually makes me more mad than anything... it is not very hard to pick up after oneself: an event should never be 'needed' to clean the environment. However, kudos for you guys cleaning up!
Recyclable and non-recyclable materials are sorted, compressed into bales, and either turned into raw materials that are used to create new products or stored for future use. At our South Florida location, everything we can't recycle is taken to Solid Waste Authority (the most efficient, lowest emission facility in the country) where it is turned into energy.
Hi there! The best way to volunteer with us is to attend one of our Community Events! You can check out our calendar of upcoming dates, and sign up to be notified when we post new events in your area, here: 4ocean.com/cleanup-calendar/ 😎
