From a smoker that just quit…great job guy. I have a few questions about the detailing you did. 1) Did you clean the inside ceiling foam (headliner)? 2) Did you have to change the cabin filter so the smell was eliminated? And 3) Did you have to clean the heating/air vents to eliminate residual smells? I’m looking into detailing my car now that I’ve stopped smoking. Just wanted to eliminate/remediate the smoke smell. I’m asking those questions because I know sometimes You Tube bloggers do tasks that don’t get into the final video. Thanks
Considering how strong cigarettes smell, I’m going to say probably to everything. Maybe not the vents necessarily since using them with a new filter should clean themselves at some point, but if you want to get rid of the smell as fast as possible, you’d have to change and clean as much as possible. Cig smoke is persistent
@@n.c.pictures : Thanks for your suggestions. I’ve found Ozium is good at eliminating the odor. But realize it may need a professional inside detail to start.
Since u do trucks, boats and others than cars I personally would LOVE to see someone, example u detailing a public buss if its not a much of a work? In my opinion public busses can be wayyy dirtier than cars since a lot of people uses it daily 😅😇
That much stink would make me physically sick. I cannot stand cigarette smells. It’s just unpleasant if a person smells like it but when it’s really concentrated like their home or their car I’ll get sick. I honestly don’t think I could get through something like this.
I’d literally have to leave the car outside and just pressure wash every square inch and suck up as much gunk as I could with the extractor before removing anything. Like…ew.
I do agree with you. I can’t stand the smell of cigarettes. I get bloody noses when exposed to smoke. People have the right to smoke, I have the right to breathe the cleanest air possible and that’s not cigarette smoke. I don’t let anyone smoke in my car. If they want to smoke in it they can take over the payments.
Fantastically amazing job! You transformed that mess into a beauty. For the smelliest car the engine bay was really really clean. How can somebody insult a beauty like this car? This kind of people only deserve to go around on a 'BULLOCK CART'. How did you get rid of the smell before starting the work on the interiors? I mean did you leave the car outside in the yard with the doors open for some fresh air to get in? I can only imagine what a mess his house would be!
Hey MAD DETAILING when are you going to release your ceramic coating? I know you do detailing for a living so I can sure trust you when it comes to paint protection, you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty!
I have a truck that I bought, and after awhile the cigarette smell came back (like, two weeks); I'm allergic, and this beast has a fragile ('94) interior. What would you advise?
An ozone generator: Close the windows and vents, turn the AC to recycle, place the generator on the center console if possible, turn on the generator, close the door on the power cord or extension cord (preferred), run the generator for 30 minutes, afterwards open the doors or windows and air out for at least 30 minutes.
@@OtherSarah2 Yes, repeat as needed. If the smell continues to come back you may need to let the generator run for a couple of hours at a time so the ozone gets deep into the fabrics and cushions.
Hmmm i love smoker's car detailing, i am a smoker myself but in my car i indentify as a non-smoker. I will admit, i have smoked in my past vehicles, but i will never do that again. I've been told the smoke smell never truly leaves the interior, even tho i have a great sense of smell, i've been told also only non-smokers can smell it.
Smoker's cars are the absolute worst! I detailed my mom's SUV and the smell of the various carpet and seat chemicals interacting with the residual smoke smell was enough to make you want to 🤢🤮. I went over everything multiple times and finally got it to where it wasn't too horrible, but you could still smell it a little.
where are the floor mats for that car, i detail cars and always have sets of floor mats lying around in case someone does not have any in their cars (usually floor mats i find in the trash, once cleaned they are like new)
Just curious about when your were washing under the bumper. How do you make sure the car doesn’t get damaged on the engine or electrics? Just curious as my mum is thinking about getting her car detailed but is unsure about that part
When the wheels haven’t been cleaned in a while yes. For just maintenance I’ll use our iron eraser. Or our new wheel and tire cleaner we are about to release.
I wonder after all these cars are all cleaned if the owners give a rip to take care and clean their cars. I feel like it’ll just go back to how it was. It drives me crazy when I see how these cars are like when they go in for a cleaning. Their houses are probably just as bad if not worse.
I'll never understand in a million years why some car owners let their car interior become so filthy 😒 You have to sit in that filth day in and day out. Disgusting!!!
