as I expected the points were very dirty but they cleaned up ok and the impulse didn't trip at first but after a little cleaning an lubing it seems fine now. and I am soaking the carburetor in vinegar to try to clean it up some.
Good day from Ontario Canada I just bought a wisconsin 1 cyl engine I think it is a AB. on line, thinking it was the same as my other one. It is smaller, but no spark plug wire, I am thinking probably no spark. Have you got another video showing inside mag? Thanks for now I did sub
I don't think I have one showing the inside of the mag, they are pretty simple , just points and condenser, and the coil on top,, a big part of time, the points get pitted or dirty and can usually be made to work by filing or sanding them and making sure no lint or dirt is on the contacts.
You can make one reasonably cheap from a harbor freight parts washer for bigger parts. You're a clever guy. I'm sure if ya watch one of those videos you'll figure out something with stuff around the house.
Huston we have power.... Parts cleaning can be tricky, I like to use kerosene a good degreaser... You don't have much grease going on. Never tried the electrolyzing method... I think you have this under control Vern.!!
Missouri I've been told that you shouldn't use vinegar on cast aluminum... I've never tried it on aluminum so I don't know for sure but I hope it all works out for you I wanna see them old motors run especially that four cylinder
@@MissouriOldTimer oh ok then my mistake ...I dont know man I've always had better luck with vinegar than electrolysis ... That stuff you said you sent is that coming by u.s.p.s. and am I looking for a box or an envelope ...
Missouri your package arrived today thank you very much Michelle and I are going to enjoy having that ...I'm hoping the smell won't be as strong as aerosol can air freshener that stuff always gives me a splitting headache ....
