Granted this video is six years old but I was there couple of months ago and only saw maybe few homeless. Have to assume most were staying out of sight until after dark.

I'm guessing the people were beaten and ran off

If more cities had the huevos to take action like this, we'd be better off. Nice work

These people are rude as hell. They fought among each other and refused any kind of help. For years they were trespassing and would not leave. Constantly found their discarded needles and abandoned buckets of crap. For years we put up with it and just had enough. I was so happy when it was finally addressed by the city.

The shelters in SLO county are almost always at capacity. You also can’t really have a job due to having to check in early afternoon if you want a bed.

How sad, do you guys want a pat on the back? You look all proud there Mr. City mgr.....focusing on all the dangerous trash, right.

It's really a double-edged sword with my view of the homeless. I mean, at first glance, I feel very sorry for these people. How can I judge when I've never walked a mile in their shoes....but then the camera turns to ALL THAT TRASH!!!! That really is a public health issue. I'd have a lot more sympathy for them if they kept their areas clean. A lot of these leftist homeless advocates are big into preserving the environment, but they go MIA on the pollution/environment subject when you see them helping their constituents, the biggest polluters in town - the homeless.

The biggest source of pollution is housed people. Look it up. It’s you. Power, gas and water. Everything you buy in a store comes by truck and is heavily packaged.
