I know I know I just finished another one where I applied a hand rubbed gloss finish. I will publish it in a few weeks. Maybe you can do it yourself? it’s non-toxic French polish. Keep an eye open for the French polish video. I’m scheduling it for three weeks out.

@@harpethguitar I will definitely try! may I have a question? why you was putting soo many layers? isnt there any lacquer/finish, where 1 layer will be enough? and one more question, do you recommend a poly finish or nitro finish directly on satin? I want to avoid to any reactions that will turn my "walnut" structure ugly thank you many times!

@@harpethguitarI'd possibly ship it to you from Texas and have you ship it back. No plans to visit TN anytime soon. Its probably not worth the cost in the long haul. But you do fantastic work for sure. If I'm ever headed that way who knows. Take care.

Hello Ray, You would have to ask someone who builds guitars how much that would cost but I don’t think it would be cost-effective. They would basically have to disassemble the tribute, put the binding on, reassemble, re-fret and refinish the guitar. it would cost much more than a Les Paul Standard.

This was shellac, so I probably waited one week. If it were lacquer, I probably would’ve waited for 4 weeks. Thanks!

I mixed shellac flakes in alcohol and sprayed it with a spray gun. No cans.

@@harpethguitar cool , me too i got it for cheap, only gripe is the back finish on the neck, i don’t like feeling the wood grain ….maybe i will sand it or take it to a luthier….thx 🍻
