Hi guys Happy Sunday! Today we have a video on Luxury items in my closet that I'm considering selling BUT I just want to clarify *I am not hoping on the minimalist-selling it all trend* (I still very much love all my bags and plan to keep them), these are just items that I have been considering letting go for a while and I prefer to let some things go to be able to add new things that fit better my lifestyle now. However most of the bags mentioned I am not sure I will have the heart to let go but I wanted to talk about my thoughts and hopefully start using them more now with summer approaching.

I think placing them into storage and revisiting in a year will let you know what you like. As seeing them every time you get dressed only places you in a headspace of guilt for not using it. And no one needs their closet to be shaming them on a daily basis😂 but as I understand you are very sensible in your approach, just don’t be too hard on yourself if you end up letting something go and regret it in a couple of years. You’re only human, mistakes happen! ❤

You should sell your jumbo, I felt the same way about mine and realized I was never carrying it because it was SO HEAVY & impractical!! 😩 It was bigger than my classic flap but never big enough for the things I needed, like a book/magazine. I got a Vintage Chanel caviar tote instead; Super light and easy & I LOVE IT!!!🥰 To be honest, I would rather invest in another mini or classic flap but not a jumbo. My two cents! 😎

KEEP THE CHANEL JUMBO!!! I always preferred the single flap because of weight, and had purchased one several years back…and let it go…UGH!!! Big mistake! Just repurchased a preloved and paid double, simply because I missed the bag and regretted letting go of the original!!! Do yourself a favor, put this away and keep it for the next phase of life. I believe you will be glad you did, not only for the savings but also for the quality!🥰💖

For the Dior set here some OOTD ideas 😄 spring/summer the shirt with white linen pants/jeans/shorts Hermès Chypre sandals and the grey Chanel bag or mini Kelly as crossbody. The shorts with a white tank top and white linen blouse for when you are going to the beach or on a walk in Soria. Don't sell the Jumbo and the Lady Dior in white this is such an unique piece in terms of color because it's mate 🙏🏼

I don’t know if it’s a set to wear during spring tho! It’s looks like it’s a blanket type of material (I’m not a native English speaker so I don’t know the word for the fabric) but it looks more cozy - fall type of outfit to me

LV Speedy: Sell, you have such great top handle bags I can’t see choosing this over your others Doir set: Keep, cute, gray neutral tone, Chanel Boy: Keep or Trade, super cute and think you’ll regret if sell before you trade for another print Chanel Jumbo: Keep, such a classic and classic color, true once sell you’ll never purchase at retail and even pre-love you take a gamble

The mini Lady Dior looks like YOU and will get a ton more use during the summer season. Also, that Christian Dior short set would actually be a great little outfit to just relax in inside or wear by the beach. Super cute and still very much in style.

Personally I would sell the custom jewelry, jimmy choo and Celine shoes, the CD logo outfit( too showy for my taste and I think you are more understated classic. I am undecided about the Lady Dior bag but I would definitely keep the Chanel bag and LV Speedy( those are classic and IMO you would regret selling them)

Hey Lou! I say keep the Dior set if it’s comfy! I recently had a baby and giiiirl let me tell you…sometimes you just need comfy clothes that make you feel put together and hide any potential stains on you. That set looks perfect for the job, no need to put both pieces at the same time, but having either is not gonna hurt 😅

My LV Pochette looks like new. I bought it in 2015. Your speedy should clean up nicely. Plus rumors for sometime that canvas being in store only and prices are way up. My advice would be to clean it and keep your Speedy 25.

Great video Lou. I would get rid of the shoes, fashion jewellery, dior set and the boy bag. I don’t feel the Dior set and the boy bag go with your current style. My advice would be to keep the jumbo flap because it’s a nice bag to use for a lunch/brunch. Also when you have a baby and the baby is older (over 6 months old) you start carrying less, so it’s more than enough space. I would keep the speedy and the fact it’s canvas and Damier means you can use it without thinking and you will always need something like that in your collection but I agree you could swap it for another speedy if you find one you fall in love with. As beautiful as the white lady dior is, I agree you could swap it with another one if you found a very pretty one for evening wear as you have lots of day bags! xx

I'm a luxury minimalist to begin with since I hate clutter and I'm naturally an anti-hoarder so I love this video. You've been thinking to get rid of the Chanel Jumbo for a while now, deffo do it. It does not make sense to gather dust. I'm surprised with the mini lady dior one though, you seemed used it so often and winter was only like 2 months ago! but the embroidered black one is stunning but seems only suitable for evening wear unlike the white mini! Now I found a little trick to shorten the strap and so I can wear the mini everywhere! (I hate how long the strap is). Personally, I find the Dior shorts and top to be tacky and inelegant, whether its trendy or not...but that's my personal taste.

Great video. You really seems to know what you want to do. I just moved so I got rid of a lot of my things. I think it’s important to just have e what you need and let go of the rest or put things in a maybe basket and if you don’t use it within a few years just move it on. ❤❤❤❤❤

More than that it’s just also nice to be able to let go what is not your style and try new things, as much as we get attached to certain items if we never let go we will have a closet full of things we don’t reach out for anymore

I would for sure sell the shoes (I have also been guilty of pretty to look shoes but definitely not pretty to stand on; and at the end of the day makes no sense) as well as the hoodie ( I just cannot picture you wearing it, if you like the logo maybe invest in a dior handkerchief??). And FOR SURE keep the Chanel!!!! You could always sell it in the future if you are still interested

Since you asked for advice… Shoes - I totally agree, let them go Monogram outfit - I don’t see you wearing it. I think that even if logos come back it still won’t be trend that you wil really follow at this point in your life. Jumbo Classic Flap - keep it! With price increases etc. I do see it as a bag that you will want to have in the future. There are many possible life changes for you that will change the size and style bag you want/need to carry. I don’t think that this is the right time to get rid of a piece that you worked so hard to find. I think this one will payoff in the end. 😉 I agree with you on the other bags - Boy swap if you find the right thing. Dior wait through summer and revisit. Sell the jewelry. ♥️

I would sell the jumbo asap. I was on the fence about my B 30 because I kept gravitating towards the smaller sizes. Waited 2 years and now that I’ve sold it, I feel so much relief

You can clean the tarnish off of brass zippers on LV with brass cleaner! Don't get rid for that reason

I wouldn’t sell the speedy. It’s the perfect no worries bag. There are occasions that call for a more low key bag and this is the one. Remember that it’s a timeless style and you may want to reach for it in the future.

I agree with some of the comments: I think the Jimmy Choos, fashion jewelry and Celine loafers gotta go, but in my opinion you should hold on to the matching set since you said that its comfortable and soft😍 If you style it right I'm sure that you'll find some use for it. Please dont sell your mini lady dior, its just so pretty 😍 The LV Speedy is also something that seems to have sentimental value to you, plus its also a semi-classic bag (is semi-classic even a thing? 😆😅 It's just that it seems to be a staple you can never go wrong with having in your closet 😅) As for the Chanel Jumbo...hmm everytime you feature it you always say that you'll regret it in the future if you sell it now - so I don't really know hehe but I think you should try using it more so that it doesn't get jealous of the other bags 😄 Thats just my two cents on this matter, anyways lovely video as always Lou 💕

Hello, like you said,having children,you could really use the jumbo. I used LG designer bags instead of the baby bags. Keep the Dior shorts,and w3ar them with white t-shirts very nice,and sell the top. Take care,❤❤❤

I would keep the Dior track suit a d try pairing it with a hoodie or a white or grey tee and pair the hoodie with some jeans or other lounge pants and see how you feel about it l. if you still feel like you don’t find yourself reaching for it even just lounging at home or for walks with Masha I say sell it. But the Chanel Jumbo I say keep it especially if you really feel you will regret selling it. those bags are sky high and not coming down any time soon, but mostly go with what your gut tells you will be less likely to regret it that way hope this helps 🥰🙏🏼💕

The jumbo is a beautiful bag, but you can always get a different bigger bag if you have kiddos and need more space. I don’t think hanging onto something you never reach for just because it’s pretty is worth it 🩷 you can definitely use that money towards something else you’ll never wanna switch out of :) and I like the Dior set, but doesn’t go with you anymore I don’t think.

I have to say your mentality towards luxury items is the healthiest that I have seen on RU-vid, you sell what no longer serves you without saying it’s outdated and putting down people that still love and own that bag. You also are realistic and let things go to buy new bags, it’s not just more more more. In my opinion you are holding onto the boy bag because it used to be the perfect bag for you a few years ago. *used to* is the key word tho, I don’t see you with anymore because you dress different! And that is ok! Maybe that boy bag can give you the space and funds to venture into a new fashion house like the row but you feel guilty of letting go a bag that is not really serving you anymore 🤗 just my two cents

The Jumbo has been on the chopping block for a long time. Honestly now that I’m a mom, I don’t think the Jumbo is the practical large bag. Tote styles seem to work better. Your B30 and B35 plus goyard tote would have you covered. You can let the Jumbo go and have space for something you would actually enjoy now and in the future.

I think it's disgraceful that the hardware should tarnish on ANY luxury bag. With the price we pay, that should not happen, especially considering your Speedy isn't that old. These companies keep putting their prices up, yet the quality goes down. I have an approx 12 year old LV Pallas and the hardware looks good as new. It seems these companies keep putting their prices up, yet the quality is going down. Shame on Louis Vuitton, they should offer to replace that zip for free.

Sell the jumbo. We don’t get stronger as we get older. The jumbo is so heavy esp with stuff in it. Impractical you will always want to reach for a big bag that’s easier on the shoulder

Yes, sell those shoes and the boy bag. When I was your age people told me I couldn't wear pearls, those were for "old" people... rubbish... the boy bag is just not you Lou; In my opinion it's not a classic bag, don't hang on to it!

Don’t sell your jumbo! I have the same struggle with my jumbo. I bought mine at the Rue Cambon store a few years ago and now I never use it. I’m only 5’ tall and it just looks big on me and feels cumbersome because of its rigid formal design. But, I have no plans to sell it because it’s a beautiful bag, has sentimental memories for me, and I know that I would regret selling it. Plus, if I try to buy another I will probably have to pay more than double the amount to buy it again.

Hi Lou, I think you are struggling with your own style. When logo were in, that was your style. Now Quiet luxury is in, now this is your style. I know you are young but that is the reason (i think) you want to sell things that are not on trend now, even if you are not conscious about it. My tip: try to think what your true true style is or even if you just one. You do not want to regret things when you get older.
