It’s very telling that Clem dreams about Lee, and not her parents. He knows her better, understands the world she’s living in now, and she probably sees him as more of a strong figure.
Yep, why would she think of her parents in this type of crisis. She doesn’t know they would of done in this apocalyptic world, but she knows lee because he took of her.
Lee is honestly the most important character. I know people probably already figured this out but Lee literally is the reason why Clem’s alive and has been for so long. He’s the backbone of the series.
When I heard those three words I started tearing up. I then chose I miss you so much option and I cant stop crying over this scene. I missed Lee and wish he survived. They are my favourite survival duo
If you're on the Violet route, Lee says "Imagine what Louis will SAY when he sees your face." If you're on the Louis route, Lee says " Imagine how Violet will FEEL when you've come to rescue her." Never noticed the foreshadowing until now. 👌
@@OfficialMummyCat If you have to rescue Louis, you'll find that his tongue has been cut so he can't say anything. If you have to save Violet, she'll feel betrayed and abandons Clem.
The real MVP of this series are the people that strived to finish this game despite Telltale messing it up half-way through it. Also Lee... I'm crying right now
AlphaIkaros Yeah but Skybound getting the rights back from telltale is what made it happen. People would’ve stayed pissed if the season got canceled, especially since a lot of people already paid for the game. They’re lucky they got most of the team back after that whole Telltale shit last year. Not trying to disagree or say you’re wrong but I’d say it was mostly Skybound.
This scene is deep. I think it shows that despite Clementine being tough she has to pretend that Lee is with her, guiding her or else she'd never stay sane. Poor clem ;(
This dream goes further than what you see, she was Dreaming herself as a child again talking to Lee , to me that means deep down inside clem is still hurting very very bad and she goes back to that place in her head where she can cry out, she only knew lee when she was a little girl but as she finished hugged him and finished cried she came back to that place where she needs to be tough and that's why she looked like what she looks like now in her dream, kinda sounds confusing cause I'm not really good at explaining lol but that's how I see it, great video baby thanks for this
@@dutchvanderlinde7328 I thought so too but she was really fathered and attached to Lee although she spent more time with Kenny than Lee depending on how you play season 2 ofc
It was more emotional as well when clementine grows in her current age in the video as if lee came back from the dead revoking telltales killing him off in the 1st season and just appraising how far clementine has came along in this trilogy of this franchise. Couldn't help but have mixtures of tears of joy and despair missing lee, but loving this moment too
I found it very interesting how when Clementine is stressed and has these dreams she doesn’t dream about her parents talking to her and coaching her, it’s always Lee. Goes to show you the type of relationship they’ve developed.
6:13-7:18 had me balling, omg just wow omg😭😍💖☺️Lee is so proud of her, Louis, how she's raised Aj, and how amazing she is at surviving and leadership. Best part of ep 3, I will forever treasure this scene👌😭😍
It would make a great ending, if Clem sees everyone who meant something to her. Like maybe visions of people close to her. First her parents, Lee, Kenny, Luke, Jane, Javi, Gabe, Louis, Violet, then AJ. And she could die in peace
I really appreciate that they gave us new dialogue with Lee, even though he’s dead. It was so refreshing to hear his thoughts and comfort Clem. And then at the end where Clem changes from her 9 year old self into what she is now, wow it was just amazing to see her standing by Lee. Skybound AND Telltale hit it out of the park with this whole scene, really sold the game and episode for me.
I think it's because for a lot of players that never happened. Kenny is only dead if you went with him in the end of season 2, in other endings his character status is "unknown".
I chose the "i miss you so much lee, i wish you were still here " and i started crying so hard! Especially when she went to hug lee, i was broken! I really missed lee and clem together and it was heartbreaking for me to complete this scene. I kept pausing
Once I heard the train tracks while playing this episode, I was like "box of tissues, check. No onions in sight, check. Time to go on this feel trip.." Long story short, that box of tissue is gone.
I wish that there was another dream with Lee at the end of Chapter 4, when they are "safe" at the school, to honor Lee's words "Come see me again when you've gotten them out, okay? Out and safe"
You know how Lee says: "Come see me again when you've gotten them out, okay? Out and safe." I think that could be a forshadowing to Clementine's death; because she'll die in the process of saving her friends and then she will get to see Lee again, properly this time.
Three of the scenes I’ve been looking forward to. Thank you. Lee is still my favorite character. And the graphics and dialogue is so amazing in this episode. But we all missed Lee/Clem scenes. Shows how powerful love can be. And how much one person who was your world can still live on with you ten years later. He would’ve been a great Dad.
The entire or most of the cabin group in season 2 would survived, along with Omid and Christa. Why? Lee was a natural caretaker and leader, he was intelligent, rational, and also kind and humane. With most of the group surviving, Kenny and Jane would also be alive at season 2's end, tho possibly not in the group. Not sure what would occur after that but I imagine that Jav and his family would meet at a sizeable group of season 1 and 2 characters in season 3. Clem would never have spent all those years alone after season 2 raising AJ by herself, instead Lee would be the surrogate father to them both and she would have had at least a bit of a childhood. In fact, a "legend of Lee and Clementine" would develop because they would work hand in hand so well, protector and protector. They would have such a positive influence on so many people and so many more characters would survive. Obviously since the setting for the Walking Dead is an "anyone can die" kind of environment, maybe Lee might not make it to season 4, which would be heartbreaking obviously, but in my personal headcanon he does. He lives in a group just outside the School, AJ and Clem go to live at the school to live a bit of their own lives as they are growing up but their family, which consists os Lee and all the other survivors, is just around the corner from the school. They easily defeat the threat the school faces from Lily and the others due to their higher numbers and heart / brains. In fact, maybe Lily would have had some sort of redemption arc of a sorts being confronted by her ally from season 1. This is my personal headcanon :3
I could only imagine what would the story been like if Lee were to survive Edit: it’s kinda like Lee’s soul or Lee’s ghost is guiding her in her dreams and trying to comfort her in times of need.
This was really beautiful. I gotta say though. I hoped Kenny was gonna show up to. He is not like Lee, but..He sacrifaced & fought so much. I wanted a flashback scene with him, where he asks Clem how AJ is & Clem confirms to him, that he is fine. He was really this strong guardian. Lee is the father. Kenny is the uncle. To me, Kenny is really Clems mentor. He desearved something more then a simple reference in season 4. Lee taught Clem alot, but man Kenny is right up there to. Quite frankly he might have even taught her more then Lee(I love Lee)
I keep crying because of this scene. I finished the game yesterday. The characters are so well written, but it has to be something more than this. And I figured out just minutes ago that I keep crying to this scene because Lee reminds me of my grandfather, which had a very kind heart and I would feel joy just staying around him. He had the same type of presence as Lee. He died when I was only 9, same as Clementine. I'm 22 so I grew up without my grandfather advises. Sometimes I think to myself what would my grandfather say. I feel like Clementine here.
Im so proud of clem, surviving all this strife because of lee, and im so happy lee was finally able to see clementine in her apocolyptic best, she’s a survivor and it’s all because of lee
Lee sacrificed his life to save another ppl even when he needed help. Lee Everett is the best character ever. It's cool to see Clem talking about him in different seasons. R.I.P Lee Everett💝❤💕💓
@@casper9104 I mean Lee was actually really important considering he's the one who kept her alive and taught her about survival and also died for her basically
@@user-uf5vn5tt8u This is also plausible considering she seemed genuinely more distraught by Lee's death, than the death of her parents. She is visibly horrified and sad when she discovered her parents are walkers, but when Lee is dying, she visibly breaks down. She had the conscious of mind and willpower to drag Lee to safety. Though you could argue she broke down over Lee's death because it was compounded WITH her parents death and separately, she might not have cried.
The lifestyle with her parents is behind her and is almost like a dream in the new apocalypse world because of how long ago it was, but lee was the first person she met when everything happened, he represented her parents during the beginning of the breakout. He’s so important to her because he taught her everything and is the only reason she’s alive. If it wasn’t for lee she would’ve been left to die in the treehouse by herself. Her parents are important but in a zombie apocalypse Lee was more important
What's very telling is that, despite them writing Lee, like Lee this isn't Lee. It's Clem's memories of him. That means, as she's gotten older and been forced into similar situations, she's worked out how often his reassurance to Clem was just a front to keep her from being scared while he BSed and made it up as he went in a hostile world. And it makes her realize how important she was to him, since he had no obligation to her.
Reminds me of Chloe dreaming of William in Life is Strange Before the Storm. Both involving teen girls dreaming of beloved long gone fathers. Emotional stuff. 💙
It doesn't matter how many times I play Telltale's Walking Dead games -- from seasons one all the way to season four, including Michonne's spin-off game -- no other video game characters in the game-verse will get me feeling so emotional than Lee and Clemintine's father/daughter bond. The feels are just so strong. 2012 really was awesome year for video games. And for Telltale as well. Thank you for giving us The Walking Dead game version.
“Come see me again when you’ve got them out, okay? Out and safe” I swear if we all see an ending where Clem dies and sees everyone in the afterlife from the beginning from Lee, Kenny, katcha and duck I will cry so hard😞❤️
Near the end when Lee had to go they should've put Kenny saying smt like "hey Lee it's time to go now" and he walks out and sees clementine grown up too
