Those young women and ALL the hostages have been wronged so cruelly and shamefully- there are no words to tell adequately of their pain and suffering. The only word for these men is evil. Some wish to celebrate their evil actions or to minimise or mitigate their evil. That is not possible. That was hard to watch. Hard to watch a remorseless man who is happy to tell of his crimes because he doesn’t believe that he has done wrong. His book tells him (this is how he understands and applies it) that these women who do not share his beliefs are the possession of his right hand and may be violated. Sex slaves to him are a treat from on high. He is not ashamed. This ideology needs to be exposed and justice must be done. Rape as a weapon of war or an act of terrorism should carry the heaviest of penalties.

I have late brother-law who was Lebanese ( was not muslim) and my late husband had a Lebanese step father ...who came and lived here for clise to 49 years all time sending money back to his relatives there to buy and farm land... It's moments like this, when I realise just how blessed and privileged my life is despite the money struggles here in Britain. Clementine Ford breaks my heart. Her seminal work, Fight Like A Girl was so important to me because it was the story of my life - very confronting but very healing - I felt defended for the first time, despite the fact that some of her writing in that book was a bit extreme toward men. But since the whole trans thing with AGPs and male rapists in women's prisons and the terrible crimes against Israeli women, and the poison she has spun since then in support of these monsters, without any sense or moral compass anywhere, she disgusts me. I wonder if she has acquired a serious mental illness, because I cannot understand her present stance at all. She used to be the first to call out rape and physical and mental violence against women. She makes me want to vomit and cry at the same time. Once an important voice for women, she has now made herself irredeemable.
