Lol. As a a Tiger fan I’m so glad that the Seminoles turned out to not be as good as we thought. The way I see it, our only tough game in the next six weeks is Louisville and we got that game at home.
I love the back-ups getting tons of snaps. This team desperately needs to develop depth at many positions. The schedule sets up nicely for this. The starters get more rest as well which is critical for a long season.
If the game allows, Dabo has been playing all the players for years, not just the last few years. 105 players played against App St, and 96 in yesterday's game.
I think the biggest thing with Garrett Riley's offense that gives defenses trouble is that something can look exactly the same pre-snap and be completely different after the snap. Like you can lineup in a formation that they oftentimes run out of, get the notion that they would get on a run play, and then it's a play action throw it down field.

We are making the playoffs.............but THIS Clemson team is NOT winning a Natty. We WILL be the brakes off Miami. No doubt. I guess we can take the ACC and just be happy with that 😢
NC State is not the team it was last year or 2 years ago. Especially the D. That said, Clemson's play calling against Georgia was timid to the point of horrible.
Great content. Clemson HAD to have a back-to-back games where both the offense and defense played sensational. Its been far too long. NC State's Bailey is going to be a great one. Stanford, @ FSU, @ Wake, and then UVA....plenty of mediocre competition before a major tilt with Louisville.
Not completely in agreement with Brian, it all starts with the QB and the plays were called to get the QB in a rhythm and builds confidence. Cade now has put to rest being the hero and utilizing his skill players and now he has the confidence to execute plays. Now, Riley can open the playbook especially when you are ahead of the sticks on 1st down. Cade put a lot on tape to improve upon like releasing the long ball quicker. The defense need to do better in tackling but yes, Cade has made the transition to understanding how to read the defense, how to work down to the 2nd and 3rd options and using his legs he will only get better and yes, I was very critical of Cade and thought he should have been taken out of games if just for 1 series.
Like I said yesterday opportunities like yesterday must be utilized to get experience for Vizina and his fellow backups to get out there and play most most of the 4th quarter. In fact; Dabo should run up the score for just that reason because if he doesn’t; he’ll be on the losing side of yesterday’s game, in a couple of years.
I am a lifelong NC State fan. Dave Doeren is vastly overrated. His record versus top 25 teams while at NC State is 7-27. He has a losing ACC record. He pads his resume with wins against cupcakes. He is 33-1 vs non power 4 schools. In 12 years as NC State head coach, he has never won a division title. He is 4-5 in bowl games. People consider him the greatest coach in NC State history because he has the most wins as head coach. Longevity does not equal greatness. I don't know how fans continue to defend his mediocrity.
Miami still best team in ACC. Clemson might get a 12 seed because of the Georgia beating. There is a reason the linebacker at NCSU went to NFL last year. He ran more than anybody in college football cleaning up problems with their defense.
Miami hasn’t played anyone yet. Clemson played the best team in the country, and was only down by 6 at the half. Clemson also destroyed a decent NC State team. Miami and Clemson are closer skill wise than most people think. Guess we’ll see in the ACC championship game, Clemson and Miami are easily the two best teams in the ACC.

Even Clemson agrees the ACC is trash. Ncstate is very over rated but they weren’t too good last year either and Clemson couldn’t do this. Clemson is growing up on offense

Congrats to Clemson - u drubbed a weak nc state team. Dabo is still one of my favorite coaches, and underappreciated by Clemson fan base. But take heed, running a score on NC State this year , means very little as far a big boy FB. Don’t forget UGA, and believe me were Clemson playing Tennessee they would beat Clemson into next week! Just don’t as a fanbase kid uself that Clemson is anywhere near the level of the Trevor Lawrence teams.
Given how many player got drafted off of those TLaw teams, I’d go out on a limb and say there isn’t a single team in the country today with that much talent on the roster. As far as Tennessee goes maybe just worry about winning your own conference for now, it’s been awhile since you even made it to the show.
