I'm glad that it's not going to happen because it was going to take away a Home game on Labor Day Monday from NCST and move it to Clemson!! That's way more impactful than not getting your little Black Friday game!!
For real. The ACC was getting ready to take a dump on NCSU and give it to Clemson in 2027 for the sake of a Clemson game against the SEC. That pretty much says it all about the All Clown Conference.

As a gamecock fan I think we should just switch with the taters. They’re a much better program and worthy of playing in the SEC. We went 0-for against the ACC last year and probably wouldn’t even go 500 in the ACC this year. 😩

I kind of feel like Clemson likes to be difficult just to be difficult. College football is a television program. Period! ESPN is trying to pop out that Friday spot with more rivalry games. Why not move the game to a time when more people will watch it? UGA vs. GT did. Hell, I wish we would play that game on Thanksgiving, which has been a tradition for us in the past, especially at Grant Field.
The gamecocks can still wear black pants and helmets. I don’t think playing on Friday or Saturday really matters. If they are too scared to play on Friday then they will still be scared on Saturday. They have a little better roster and they are at home so they should not be too scared. They should be scared of that week 1 game against Georgia.
