Yea... I wanted to know what the heck happened there. From the field position on the next play it looked like he slid short and then Duke got a 10 yard pen after the play? Not sure how that works...

He started his slide short of the line to gain, by rule he is down short. The penalty was targeting, 15 yards, enforced AFTER the player was already down (dead-ball foul) -- therefore after the change of possession. Im not a ref, but I watch a lot of football, my first thought was that they would give them the first down, but apparently not
