Trevor Lawrence looked sharp in the passing game, defense played their hearts out.. that's pretty much the ingredients to a road game win along with teamwork. 🐯🏈
Volkswagenman3 Same team that lost to South Florida is nothing to brag about... I'm a Clemson fan I hope Syracuse gives us a challenge so we can see where we are and what we need to improve on. Go tigers!
The "x" factor that Trevor Lawrence has is that he has NO HESITATION...he pulls the trigger as soon as he see's an opening...You can see the apprehension in KB sometimes, that's not a knock either...I thought he looked great to as well. When he got another chance to play today you could tell that mentally he was on another level, and made the best of it...He played almost perfect on the first drive back and Overton dropped the ball on 3rd on his next possession...but The difference is that willingness Trevor has to just let it go as soon as he thinks he can make the play...Damn it's nice to have two headed monster like that.
Just out of curiosity I watched this game and then watched Tech playing Georgia last year as well. Watch that one and compare and tell me what you see!
Imo, Trevor Lawrence should get the start next week. Scratch that, the rest of the time he's at Clemson. Not a diss to Bryant, just you can tell hes better equipped. That pass to Renfrow in the end zone rolling out to his left?? 👀 . You kidding me?? That's an NFL throw.
Trevor Lawrence has better arm skills than many NFL quarterbacks. Look at the dimes he throws when he’s rolling out (right or left). He will only get better as he learns to read defenses/film study, etc. He is not a head case like so many of the highly recruited/highly touted athletes. Will give college defenses fits. College teams can’t stop a passer like this - don’t have enough elite defensive backs to cover everybody. Combine the Clemson defense with the Lawrence-led offense and Clemson is a tough out.
Trevor Lawrence is starting pull away from Bryant. As much as I would like to see Trevor Lawrence play the whole game keep playing them both as needed.
theoneandonly 14 Bama is not unbeatable. They said the same thing in 2016 with the defense they had. Yeah, Tua is playing good but they also havent faced LSU or Auburn yet.
Strange Days come back to this comment section when they do. The 2016 defense was beat cuz the offense kept having 3 and outs. Go analyze that game. Many people have said it. If Alabama doesn’t have continued 3 and outs Clemson doesn’t win that game
He got a great combination of speed, power, and balance...watch how he spins out of tackles after being wrapped up and if he gets to the secondary....he's gone...he's like Wayne Gallman 3.0...runs angry but way better balance and speed...he definitely was slept on talent and quiet as kept...Clemson has a nice cadre of running backs who we get to see what they do as the offense opens up more....can't wait!
So while tailgating I went to take an allergy pill, and it must've been an ambien or something because I passed out, when I woke up it was 42-7...I wasn't mad about it....
You know, at first, I thought the worst defenses in the ACC were either North Carolina, Pitt or Wake Forest, but nope, Georgia Tech is without a doubt the worst defensive team in the conference.
So Clemson's starters really only have to play half the game. Makes development of younger guys way easier. Wait a minute, a lot of the starters are underclassmen? Wow.....
