@@Irish-Football-1 Yeah, that same Syracuse team was within 6 points of Clemson late in the third quarter. It wasn't just the turnovers, it was the several miscues, such as the personal foul deep in Clemson territory forcing them out of FG range, the laughably terrible clock mgmt by Fuentes before the half and the muffed snap that went for the scoop and score. Syracuse had turnovers, but they were because ND laid massive hits on them and punched the ball out. VT's weren't just bad ball security, but they were crucial ones in scoring position or in one instance, was a scoop and score. Not the same.

Your coach put your players in a terrible position, especially before the half where you guys coulda stole another TD or FG to build up momentum. Defense looked pretty decent but whoever calls those offensive plays seemed drunk or something.

Hokie fan here as well. Didn't realize we had a transfer from rikers island 🤣🤣🤣..the team isn't the only bad thing, the commentary isn't very good either.

@@Jackson-yx1wq Statistically speaking you're correct, but Tech handed them the win. We can all look at points on the scoreboard, and some may argue that's the only metric you should look at, but others who watched the game closer saw a not so great Clemson playing a horrible Virginia Tech team. Clemson played like a top 25 team, but not #3. Simple as that.

Clemson didn’t look the number 3 team because they didn’t have to. VT never had a shot to win this game so they didn’t give anything away

@@thegravy42 VT shot themselves in the foot at every turn. I believe we had two redzone turnovers on top of our coaches never failing to fumble away the game.

@@couponcam You can't judge a player by his stat sheet that you just quickly googled lmao. Herbert is a top RB in CFB. He's been injured for over a month and has been on a pitch count. Our coaches don't give him enough carries to break big games but look at his YPC, yards from scrimmage, etc. Falls in the top 5 in major statistical categories, is highly ranked by PFF and is projected as a top-5 draft RB.

Need a competent coach and recruiting first, still just a dream.

People seem to forget how dominant the Hokies used to be. , given we have been struggling. People who doubt the Hokies are going to be dominant again should be looking over their shoulder. 2 seasons from now Pry will have this team back where they belong. His defense is already showing the signs of a over pursuing hard hitting Bud like defense. I’m looking forward to the future. I’m counting on the offense to become at the least productive enough to help the D. We will be back count on it.

That defense did it's job for almost 3 full quarters...if the offense wasn't a blooper reel this could have been a completely diff game .

Tech's qbs actually regress instead of progressing under Fuente. That along with questionable play calling, and subpar recruiting make it tough to be enthusiastic about the staff returning next year.

We know you are an expert on WHAT the #3 team should look like. Football is about matchups. VT had a bye week. Clemson brought their B game and won by 35. Any other team below them, Bama, Ohio State would have been in the final seconds of the 4th QTR trying to win this game.
