Egypt has fascinated me since I was a little girl. From the time I could read my nose was in books about Egypt and it’s history, culture and of course people. I do believe that with the modern technology being a driving force in archeology today, that whatever pieces we are missing will eventually be filled in and answers will be given. There are so many myths, legends, movies, books written about Cleopatra and her family one has to do their own homework and sift through fact and fiction. In all honesty I still believe that Rome holds the key to the mystery and life/death of Egypts Queen. Julius Cesar loved her, her cunning and shrewd dealings with her enemies kept her beloved Egypt safe for a time until Rome became greedy and in need of Egypts riches. I think the real answers about Cleopatra will be found, but in the least likely location and it will show a completely different light yet again in Egypts amazing mysteries.

There are signs and evidence suggesting that this may be the coveted tomb of Egypt's most famous Pharoah, Cleopatra. I cannot think of a more exciting discovery than uncovering the grave of history's most famous woman, Cleopatra. However, ending the season's dig without uncovering strong evidence that this long lost ruler may be uncovered during the next digging season is damned frustrating. Nevertheless, what would normally bore me to death, in this context, is as exciting as an Oscar winning thriller.

Good photography. Over the years, we have watched many explorations like these. Cleapatra a pharo? Thought she was the mistress of 2 Roman generals-- Richard Burton and S.Boyd. Maybe, if NG digs deep enough, they will find the tomb of Elizabeth Taylor. Love the designer/safari outfits. Actually, there are ancient tombs all over Masre. Why don't the E. explore their own graves? Why are foreigners always finding sites, like Howard Carter in 1910?

How typical of Cleopatra....to be the last Queen of Egypt, to be written and talked about for thousands of years, to have movies made about her, and then they find her tomb with all of her "goodies" still inside. That it was never robbed. (well, until we find it...) That would be amazing!!! :)

Or, her own people saw her as a traitor and a loser. In which case why would they want to glorify her? Had she not left Egypt for a couple of tears to stay in Rome with her first born and only returned when her married lover JC, was assassinated?

Everyone, without a doubt, when they see the greatness of the ancient Egyptian civilization, they start to think, and the first question that arises in their minds is who built these structures.

I remember when I was young, in the late 50s and early 60s, there was a Saturday morning series about Isis. It was one of my favorites. It got me interested in Egyptology. I can't remember who starred in it, but she was beautiful.

I hope that the Dominican archeologist will find Cleopatra and if she will be on a tour or just in the Museum I would love to see it or just to be near her

I have loved history since I was five and devoured 2-3 full sets of encyclopedias by the time I was around 12. My first recollection of archeology was about the Incas and the mummified girl. I was hooked and that has always been my not so secret bucket list career. Maybe it’s not too late with my photography and cataloging skills to someday do a volunteer project. Is there an age limit?

What blows my mind is how Egyptians thousands of years apart from each other weren’t any different. Almost exactly the same. And almost no advancement either. They started going in the ground instead of a pyramid. That’s really the only difference. I love Egyptian and Native American history. So good.

OMG WTH! Did she find Cleopatra's mummy or not? What was inside there? I love Egyptian history, i was always fascinated by it from childhood! And this is about the one and only Cleopatra! She mesmerizes me till date! What a queen she was! I want to know what happened, can anyone please share the link to the continuation of this video? My excitement was shooting up and they ended the video! Is it just me or anyone else visualises these ancient Egyptian palaces, temples, tombs going back thousands of years and walking along with them and seeing Cleopatra and all of them! It will be awesome if they make a high budget VR movie with great visuals and BGM etc and we can touch and feel Cleopatra, the walls of the palaces in all its glory! 😍😍😍😍

Agreed! Her dig has been going on for over 20 years! She's so close ! She hasn't investigated those tunnels yet -- she had to wait a year for another permit and those take time, not to mention get funding for all the people and equipment she needs to get the job done. I'll be waiting anxiously for her return to Egypt and eventually find Cleopatra once and for all!
