Another nice one! I like that the deck tutors up a big cool creature, but it isn't a big combo, that instantly wins the game. Very enjoyable to see, that you get to play with the slug on the battlefield for a bit.

Clerics have always been under the radar. I still have my clerics I play for pioneer. They're not too expensive to put together and they're a powerhouse for removal options and lifesteal.

I just got wrecked by this deck in the play queue, definitely was surprised to see them sac voice of the blessed and was even more dismayed when it was a freakin' TOXRILL that came down on turn five.

Luca its been an awesome thursday. First a shadow rite priest a great add for commander reanimation decks. Then Unnatural Growth with a Toxrill in play “uh a Unnatural Growth that’s scary” 😂😂😂 props from a fan in Portugal🎉

I had to focus on the pets and some of the commentaries just to be sure the editing wasn't sped up! Twas going so fast!!! Dear, I am getting very old. Thanks! A also put march of wretched sorrow instead of grasp, its good combines with voice of blessed and kills planeswalkers. And put morbid opportunist for drawing, because its problem with drawing cards in this deck in such variant (tested). And last I put fleshtaker - nice synergy with voice and with elas by sacrificing and deal damage from elas when you need to finish opponent. Сoncerning lands I put 1 raffine's tower for toxrill drawing.

Honestly lot of LegenVD decks are built much more interesting that you would expect. That aspects of draft chaff level cards in deck (Markov Purifier) and fun unexpected Toxrill are much better then "some lifegain beatdown with tribal synergies"

Do you think the deck could be improved by building it as an aggro lifegain with just a cleric sub theme? I haven't tested mine enough yet but I'm doing pretty well with cards like sheoldred, brutal cathar, and the white knight with first strike that can be pumped. I highly respect your deck building is why I ask!

Great list! Just a small note, wouldn't it be against the rules, on the second match, to have a creature with a plus counter and a minus counter at the same time? As far as I remember a permanent should always have the least amount of counters possible, making a plus 1 counter be removed if the same creature gets a minus 1 counter. Anyhow, well played, keep it up!

They aren't actually -1/-1 counters, just Slime counters that give -1/-1 while we control Toxrill.

I love your videos but sadly I would like to be selfish to say hopefully not a lot of people watch this lol. I have been running a similar deck with the shadow priest and toxrill. People see the priest as no threat and then get slimed lol. You have brought awareness to the sneaky lol. In truth though I hope you get a ton of views, great channel and great deck combo.

@@Kuryux If you draw the Courtyard as your fourth land or later, there's likely no harm in naming Slug or Horror (except for leaking some info to the opponent). (EDIT: Assuming we have the mana to cast Serra Paragon and don't have to name Angel, that is.)

If a creature ever has +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters on it, the two kinds of counters immediately "cancel out," one for one, until only one kind of counter remains. For example, a creature with three +1/+1 counters and two -1/-1 counters would end up with one +1/+1 counter. Why in Arena does it show both the -1/-1 counters and +1/+1 counters on the card at the same time? Clearly that isn't how the rules are.

Toxrill doesn’t actually put -1/-1 counters. They’re Slime counters that only give -1/-1 while Toxrill is in play.

Well I have a five color deck that seems to work for me. And yes it’s the maximum of 250 but honestly imo it’s easier for me to use as many cards as possible. I like to have multiple copies of some cards.
