Fantastic review. I was looking for a headguard with a nylon bar and your video was exactly what I was after. FYI current prices for the reyes is around £200 and winning is around £500!! Although I love the look of winning gear and would love to buy their stuff I can't justify the price difference so I think I'm going with reyes for now. Cheers
@@ligmaballs0911 there are no face gear that protect the brain, they all protect from cuts, bruises, nose damage etc, and that’s for any brand, any model.
I'd say get winning if your in the pro boxing ranks and you need the best of the best. But cleto Reyes gear is top notch too but you can't go wrong with either. Cleto isn't as expensive
Just out of curiosity... You have spoke highly of Sabas gloves, saying that they are very similar to Winning. Would you still rank Winning above Sabas or are they pretty even? I have Winning gloves myself, and think they are the best glove I have ever used.
Oh ok! Looking forward to it! I would be shocked by the upset. Although that velcro strap on the Sabas looks way better than the Winning. That is why I went with the Winning laced gloves.

Reyes over time loses padding and gets stiff, had my chin strap rip and the metal rivets rust lol. Lasted a long time just every other use wear and tear. Looking forward to buying the winning set
@Prince Wail Ali I'd go a size medium. The lacing adjustment on the back can be altered. I was a size 56 beret in the army and that's considered small. Measure your head size, any bigger than 57 and I'd go medium. Hope this helps :)
Can you recommend a question to me, what color of the helmet is better to use white or black? Because they tell me that white can get dirty easier, with the opponent's glove if it is black or another color
I would say winning gets everywhere a 10 and I think the reyes is a 8 because winning has that mold stuff and a fast closing thing and reyes has a stay in possession and a long time taking closer (quality is by both good)

I broke my nose last month and am looking to return to sparring. Heard that the Reyes nosebar sometimes pushes against the nose and could possibly cause injury. Do you think this is possible?

@@infamousnova Sometimes it's just about where you place the nose bar. It's supposed to sit below the nose, not in front of it. At least that's what I read somewhere.
Did you order a medium 2900 and a large in the 5000 what size is your head? My head is 22.5" just wondering if you think the medium 2900 and large 5000 would be best.

LaMaravilla Martinez definitely White looks class If you keep it clean (wipe after each use) and don’t let it go on the floor and keep it in your Boxing bag to protect it when not in use White winning gear is great 👊🏼👍🏼

Frank Mijares I've never had a Cleto Reyes with the rounded bar (I don't like the look as much as the pointed bar) It does look like it would give more room for the face/nose I personally would still go fg5000👊🏼👍🏼

hi , for optimum protection of the noose and a good fit (for the FG 5000) , do you think the noose need to be placed against the bar protection when your opponent shots your head ? Or do you think a little space is better between the noose and the bar ?

Was it brand new? Did you only use it once? Reyes aren't known for instant comfort at all. Probably the first 10 times using mine, it felt awful, but leather breaks in and now it fits perfect. You have to wear it a few times so the leather relaxes out and molds around you.
@@Fit2Box thanks mate👍 it was just because you kept saying Reyes nose bar, while calling the other 1 just winning. + the Reyes Bar looked considerably higher to me, that's where my confusion happened
Rav Elmo Winnings synthetic leather is fantastic Leather is an option but is more expensive Tbh the normal winning synthetic leather headguard is so good I would go for that👊🏼👍🏼
Rav Elmo with winning headguards as long as you have the right size It won’t move much and I’ve never noticed me sweating more in the synthetic leather version than the leather version Both are fantastic headguards👊🏼👍🏼
I have a question a buddy of mine has a pair of winning gloves but the logo on the back isn't there. and only the logo on the cuff is there. are they real or fake I want to buy a pair

Cleto Reyes is better if not the same as winning it's just that Ppl use winning because cleto Reyes is a MEXICAN brand , and we all know how ppl feel about mexicans. Lol But nah seriously theres alot of pride in boxing so not to say racism but to say your country behind you . . So if your not Mexican why would you wear a strictly Mexican brand. Just my opinion tho
