Watching this game, you can see why the Saints failed under Haslett. Sloppy play, stupid penalties, etc. Should have won this game. Browns D-line was the difference, but Saints hurt themselves so much... 2002 ended with a 3 game losing streak and out of the playoffs for the Saints. Brooks injury and then Haslett caving and letting him play anyway was a huge mistake. Delhomme was the back-up and if he plays instead after Brooks injury, they probably go to the playoffs. Still, Haslett's demise let to Payton's hire long term...
