I feel that Cleveland has been overshadowed a bit other manufacturers with big marketing budgets; but they’ve never stopped making great wedges. Thanks for pointing out the innovation that’s gone into these clubs.

Agree cleveland is totally underrated...they actually make some AWESOME irons too...their launcher hbs for instance are incredible If you need forgiveness

Which wedge is considered more forgiving between this full face or CBX2 wedge?

Really like your reviews as you explain the concept very well. Playing the original CBX wedges but will have a look at the full face wedge as they look very good.

I've never met a Cleveland wedge I didn't love....which is a bit of a problem. I just sold off 10 of them and still have a full set of CBX wedges and the 42* and 58* Smart Sole v3 round savers. And I just bought the v4 Smart Sole trio which now has a 50* G wedge. Never going back to anything else...

Rick, I plan to order one of these from you as soon as they’re available. I want the 56* but I’m going to custom order it at 36” instead of the stock length of 35.25”. By lengthening it a bit, should I also flatten the lie angle by 1 or 2 degrees? What’s your opinion on that? I won’t be hitting full shots with this club; it’s primary use will be around the green. I’ve heard Bob Vokey and others say that if anything a short-game wedge like this should be a little too flat rather than too upright. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. Thanks...

There are a number of golfers who like to play their wedges flatter in the lie angle. If you are getting longer wedges, matching the lie angle flatter like a traditional 36" club is a good idea. And we always recommend getting fit to make sure your clubs are the right spec for you. Thanks for your question!

How did you find these compared to the cbx 2 on full shots? Would there be a big distance drop off? How did spin compare, I heard the spin like crazy on full shot? If i like hitting full 60° but still like to use it around the green which would be the better option?

There shouldn’t be a drop off in performance vs. the CBX2, the face goes through the same laser milling process and both have the same Tour Zip Grooves. I’d recommend the CBX Full Face Wedge for the 60° due to the versatility around the green. The Full Face Milling will give you a wide range of shot options, from standard chips to open face flops, this wedge has you covered. A small caveat with the Full Face wedges would be the shape. These have exaggerated high toe profile so they will not look traditional at set up.

@@TGWcomTheGolfWarehouse Rick, I was looking for a 58* or 60* lob wedge. I wound up buying the Callaway Mack Daddy CB due to indecision between the CBX2 and CBX Full Face. I really wish there was a detailed “playability” comparison between the two wedges. I know the “engineering” details/differences but still can’t decide which one. This video helped some.
