In this video, I will troubleshoot a steamer that keeps blowing the transformer by installing 2 fuses in series with the transformer, in order to find the source of the issue. / rketec
Thank you for teaching and sharing your knowledge!when a tech is will to teach and give his knowledge away is a true trait of a great tech .thanks again and keep them coming!.
@@REFRIGERATIONKITCHENEQTECH,I agree. There are so many pieces of commercial kitchen equipment, that are very poorly designed, or not tested prior to major manufacturing. I went to Middleby Marshall school, they run you through the ringer, and it is pass or fail,or at least it was back when I went. I love those types of things, challenges.
@@REFRIGERATIONKITCHENEQTECH, or the water probe, if you have ever dealt with a commercial coffee maker, and at of steamers. Calcium build up on those probes, will make them do the same.
may I ask you a question on my job we have a Vulcan steamer m # C24GA10 serial number 46-3036191 and my quest]ion is the module is get in 120 volts but not nothing is happens except the water fill but won't turn on ,I think the module is bad ,terminal v1 and v2 from the module power the 120volts /24 v transformer right? the other weird thing the blower runs all the time but at a lower speed ,the question is the module power the transformer ?or the transformer powers the module? thanks for you videos and for you time.
I use a CCMR fuse and you can really use any fuse holder. I use these illuminated Din rail fuse holder because they are well insulated and you can basically lay them on anything temporarily. I get them from the local electrical supplier for real cheap. www.partstown.ca/alto-shaam/altfu-34771
@@REFRIGERATIONKITCHENEQTECH Cool, I see a lot of henny penny, not many Rational as haven't taken a new class on them yet. I guess I have to pass CFSA first not sure. Love the videos helps me to be a better technician
@@REFRIGERATIONKITCHENEQTECH I'm shocked that the fill or condensate water valve can short bad enough to burn up the transformer but not the supply fuses; bad design. Cleveland is fucked up on that for sure. . Btw & fyi,, the weakest fuse popped 1st.. since it's a closed circuit, the "shortest path" is the same place bro... amps would be the same anywhere in the circuit.. B'cuz of our demand, I just bought a new unit,, $8K now.. My issues are with sediment ruining the element (FL water) ... I'm gonna add a 3 or 4 amp popper in there now. TY for ur video,,, I hate fixing equipment these days... lol
Actually one fuse will be more correct,, it's the same circuit & therefore the amps are equal thru the whole circuit. (the poster is wrong about that tiny fact, but he showed great ways to isolate the fault).
Loving the hot side work videos , not a lot on you tube. Keep them coming. Do you work primary on refrigeration and hot side or do u work on hvac as well.
