Super review! You always got to look at those brands with a lower profile than the ones with the big ad spends/sponsorships... I feel like 90% of the time they're better value and you're getting a product that's just as good if not better!
I've been saying this for a while, the Cleveland Soft Putter Line is the single most underrated putter line out there. There are a few solid putter lines out there that are cheaper but for quality and feel of it, I don't think there is a better value putter. I've hit them numerous times and just can't get over how soft they feel. They legit feel like a softer scotty cameron but no one wants a Cleveland Putter.
I think that's my major issue with Odyssey putters. I think they're really well made, but I just have a lot of trouble gaining confidence with them. It could definitely be a me issue, but putters are really weird in this regard
Cleveland products are very good! I have four hybrid and three wedges in my bag, to go along with my PXG 0211X COR2’s. I play an Odyssey White Hot blade or a Brass, Tour Model 103. Thanks for the review
Had my putter (Scotty Cameron) stolen, so I needed a new one. A very accommodating pro let me try a new Scotty, Ping, Odyssey and Mizuno, and of course a Cleveland HB SOFT milled. Personal thing, I don’t like the insert on the Odyssey, so the other four went head to head. It was impossible for me to differentiate any of them for looks, construction and components. Feel off the face? If I was blindfolded I couldn’t have told the difference. Actual “in use” feel on the practice green, no discernible difference. So, if you want the Scotty or Ping go for it they are fabulous, but for half the price the Cleveland is every bit as good in every measurable and subjective way. I bought the Cleveland
You are 100% right. I agree with this take. Most people cannot tell the difference between putters if they were blindfolded. Putters are honestly like watches, they all tell time, but some show more status than the rest.
i have a 2021 or 22, Cleveland premier #3, a lot of toe hand and really like it. I think it has a great wynn grip. kudo's to them for make a Scotty competitor for under 200( paid 150 or 160).
I recently switched from an Odyssey to the Cleveland Soft #4. The Cleveland just has a better feel to it. Miss hits on the Odyssey were very apparent. Not so with the Cleveland.
I would have to test them side by side to be sure, however if there's a difference it can't be by much. The Cleveland is just so soft it's hard to make anything much softer than that
