When the prices are hidden, you Know that it's shysters heaven
Really..the house if you observe closer was built as a model in front of a warehouse as a promotional construction project Jeeez Show more Imagination..You would do The Foundation and the Primary Preparations and then Raise the rest of the House on its foundation..Voala you have yourself a new house..less hassle and less expenses...Great Respect for the company that build it..wish they could build mine....got to brake my Daughters piggy bank first...l.o.l.
At least it looks like a house every time I see these alternative material DIY assembly houses the majority of them are domes does not make any sense to me it might be efficient but honestly it just looks like we should be living on Tatooine from Star Wars when they first came out with those Concepts especially plastic it really threw people off trying to look too forward in the future and what would be considered an efficient design rather than focusing on the material and how it could be utilized for the current market like I honestly think they were shooting themselves in the foot on purpose as some sort of housing realtor Market scheme conspiracy to keep homeowners and rental property owners stagnated because once it does change where people are able to put together their own homes expanding those homes and taking them down the current market is just going to implode on itself because people we'll be looking for land and not an already-established structure that they had no say in and is more less tearing apart from the inside out being over a decade + old with outdated materials and methods
I love structural insulated panels! Need a suite of customizable components like dormers, window seats, bay windows, and roof over entrance so owners can personalize because people aren't robots. As the old ad used to say, "Americans want to succeed, not just survive" and this actually applies to most nationalities! Yemenis customize their trucks into works of art, and likewise Mexican taxi drivers express themselves by making their cars unique, so a suite of optional house features would be great to select from. Remember, in cold climates nothing beats sprayed polyurethane closed cell foam.
I saw commet that do not use for full house. I used on my two houses in Camotes. Nearly sound proof, fire proof, can withstand 150 mph typhoon. Earthquake to 7. Another question about roof. Heavy metal tresses with kit. Then lay and screw in 1x7 ft foam cement panels, then put sealing tape on seams. Coat seams with supplied sealing paint, then lay on top the supplied corregated metal roofing panels. Choose the color you want of metal roofing. I would suggest not using the cheap Chinese roofing screws thst have tiny plastic washers. But use Tek screws with rounded stailess steel washers and EPDM rubber washers. Do not put forcce to squeeze the rubber. Only just enough force to tighten. Of you cannot guage the force, buy a 1/4 inch torque wrench.
Buenos días apreciados amigos de la empresa de construcción de estás casas les felicito exelente proyecto me gustaría tener información cordial saludo atte Héctor Ecuador
Mr. Franzen, this is very impressive. I especially love what looks to be a very quick build and therefore low labor costs. What kind of sealant do you use between the vertical panels? Nice video, and THANK YOU for having nice, relaxing music!
Hi I really like your idea may I know hw much did it cost u to do those walls if it is not too much trouble for you. and also how long did it take for you to make the concrete walls. thank you
My two house in Camotes Island came in complete kit form, from China. Included structural walks, doors, womindows, kitchen cabinet, bathroom, tile, paint, screws, wall panels. 12,000 dollars.pay for sipping from factory to Chinese port, cantainer shipping to Cebu City port, transfer to flat bed truck, shipping by ferry boat to our land in Camotes. I hired 16 people to unload onto our land - 6 hours. Customs was 3,000 dollars. I hired philippino workers to construct on a cement foundation. Put first a 1x1 square metal tube. Put panels on tube, screw on bottom by supplied screws. 3 holes on three hooks on each panel. Heavs steel A frame tresses. Pit 1x1 steel tube on top. Panels had hardyflex on sides, foam cement and reinforcement 3 ft x 8 ft panels, two workers to carry and put on foundation. Hook panels together. Larger 6x8 panels that had doir or window metal forms - 8 men to carry to foundatio, to tilt up and hook. Foam cement 1x7 ft panels for roof on the heavy tresses. A frame. Paid workers by the hour. 50 pesos for 4 carpenters 35 for other workers. Paint with supplied paint color of your choice. Pu 5:16 t down the supplied ceramic tile. Put on metal roofing on top of 1x7 roof foam cement reinforced panels. Put in the supplied ceiling. Put on the plastic supplied gutters. Put in the nice doors and nice windows. I personally ordered more materials to make the two bedrooms 10x12, rather than 10x10. And bathrro CR 5x7 rathrr than 5x5. I ordered 2 extra heavy metal tresses. One for longer house. One to cut in half to make longer hip roof for front and bacj 10x20 porches. Suggestion: add 3 more 3x8 foam cement panels to make the long kitchen, dining room, and living room wider from 10 foot wide to 12 foot wide. The 10 foot wide i 5:16 is too narrow. Your signifficant other will like 12 foot wide.
If you haven't noticed we are all slaves. It's just a matter of a degree or two. Try missing your mortgage payment for a month or two in America and see how long they'll let you keep the house.
i wanted to know how the foundation was made.. i was scanning the internet and i couldnt find one that shows how a foundation is made for prefab house using a cement panel as walls
+Manilyn Reynes Look for Elevated house foundations ...Cheaper and no need to dig trenches ...Pipes and Elect Cables go under .Many ways to do this .. www.stormeffects.com/stareffects_observatory.htm
How much time was spent preparing/producing the panels and the "foundation" for this video shoot? In other words - Total man hours - not just to erect panels and paint?
+moladi The panels can be prefabed offsite.in a factory and delivered on a truck. Really fast system. However, the footings need to be perfectly level or it'll cost time to line things up. SIP construction is pretty cool. You spend your time in prep and planning, then knock that sucker out in no time. Construction gives you a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. With SIP you get that feeling before lunch.
Yoo dude If ya cn afford, plz dn't critize ok + B thnkful in this beautiful world, there's so many homeless and needy citizens who cn't afford so plz let them purchase and Let them live happily + thnk God for sending Gaurdian Angels Lord Amen
Didn't sears offer a kit like over 50 years ago? But seriously how run the wiring and pumping and HVAC ? And it appears you would only need perimeter footing and the stuff on the seams I guess that's to even surface only because the panels interlock??
oldcutler100 I disagree, these are basic structurally insulated panels. Google it. I make my own to build sport courts, decks, privacy walls, trampoline and fiberglass pool frames. The list goes on and on. I do all sorts of interesting tweeks on these for different applications. I use cement board for the substrates and use them underground instead of concrete blocks. Imagine having a short 100 ft x 100 foot roll off dumpster. Now crane in a fiberglass pool backfill and now add a trampoline mat next to the pool. That is a great backyard. On the earthquake front.... take a look at some of these block walls after a so cal earthquake. You will be hauling toppled and crack walls until the cows come home
Mark Pullen Hey Dat Guy, my next experiment will be using these panels for the foundation and slab. I will not be driving a car inside the home so I should be good.Could you imagine four or five guys picking up the prefabricated footing to a home and placing it in the trenches? Yes, You would have to complete the SIP substrates fabrication once in the hole but that is easy. I have already built a home in Mexico with concrete slab and foundation with sip walls and roof but I want to take it to the next level. Ahhh, I love polystyrene.
There was a chap in Swindon pushing this idea, invested a ton of money then passed away. Friend of a friend. All very sad. Never got a hard contract just possibilities.
My foundation for my foam cement house house is 4 inch hollow block. That is all can get on Camotes Island Philippines. I would prefer 6 inch hollow block. Every 2 layers of hollow block put rebar reinforcement horrizontal. Every 3 feet put 1 tebar vertical. If coral heavy stones, rent a jackhammer to dig trench for foundation. For the cement floor ude 1x1 ft of rebar. Thickness of cement floor is 4 inches. Raise the rebar 1 inch with stones befor cement. Philipino workers can mix on a sheet of metal. But best to rent a cement mixer.
Hmmmm.... how would you know that? One pours the floor inside after the construction and the foundation was present before the construction began. Interesting that because something isn't illustrated, that it can't be real, no? Alternately, the floor and foundation can be poured before assembling the panels. Hmmmmm....
