Thank you so much for this. It makes me feel so much better about my puppy. Other videos are great but it’s always a super focused border collie or retriever. Super helpful.

I've been in the dog industry for 10 years and we need more people like those running Standing Stone Kennels. I'm getting my 2nd ever bird dog in 9 days- he's a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon and I really wish I had your videos for my first guy. During our training I found out almost every mistake but it's good to see videos showing all of the correct things to do lol. Keep it up!

Have a 10 week old GSP. Your videos are great and seem to be working :) I’m having a little trouble keeping her focus or getting her attention once in awhile.Should I just do shorter sessions and stop when she loses focus then try again later?

This question has nothing to do with this video, but for the very high energy dogs you may have, do you exercise them daily? What do you do to get there energy down for training so they will focus better?

Green Forest thanks for the question! Both mental and physical exercise are very important. If you are struggling with focus in a positive reinforcement session, you don’t have a strong enough reward for your dog.

How long typically with a puppy do you wait before going to the next video? Can you train with different things for instance sitting morning and recall afternoon?

Hi, I want to know if there is a timeframe in which a GSP best learn certain skills. Because I notice their is a build up of skills over time and natural interest to learn skills at a certain age.
