Yeah, seeing some of these other videos with women/girls who terribly misjudged their size and what style would compliment their body type is kind of frustrating.
Oftentimes that’s an issue with the dress being drop-shipped from China or other Asian countries whose sizes tend to run quite a bit smaller than US sizes. So even if they buy in their normal dress size it’ll end up coming quite a bit smaller than they’re expecting. It’s another fun scammy thing those sites do, not telling you about that, or misrepresenting it.
Wow, the dress that arrived is actually the dress that was advertised! The stray pin is definitely scary, but you did a great job and your client looked amazing!!
You did an amazing job. The needle being left in the dress is a bit odd. But the dress did look like the picture when it arrived. And the end results are beautiful. I hope your client enjoyed her prom.
Beautiful dress. Good job. Pity she didn't want it hemmed a little, but I guess kids don't go to prom to DANCE so much, anymore. It seems it's gone back to its roots of "promenade," and the idea is to walk around and be seen, not dress up and get down.
You know back in the day (1978) you had better not miss a minute of dancing! We didn’t have what they do today, and in rural south Alabama, PROM was IT!!! Plus, our dresses didn’t look like the ones now.
@@debiperkins Yes. I think the days of highschool dances being planned and decorated by committees of actual high schoolers and their families and held in a rec hall or the school's gymnasium are gone. The internet makes everything a competition. Everything is for looks and likes, not so much for fun.
Another win for you. That one was simple compared to most of yours. You always hit a win. Dang, I would have tried to talk her into red shoes!!!! 😂😂😂 She was absolutely gorgeous.
The dress looks much better with the pleats tacked and the slit where it is. It really allows her to be her. The tacked pleats really allow the dress to drape to her body.
I always feel so old watching these videos. None of these dresses would've been allowed at my prom. The alterations are great and it fits well, but feels too adult go me
Every school is different, times have changed, and like most high school seniors she is probably is an adult. But this is a normal silhouette for an evening gown and slits allow for better movement. Can’t really see anything “adult”? The color? It being well fitted?
You are a magician!!! So talented and so great at figuring out just the right thing(s) to do to make your clients look their best in their chosen gowns.
The dress is gorgeous and you do great work. Why prom girls want to wear dresses that make them look like Jessica Rabbit is probably just a culture thing. Great seamstress work❤
The split at the leg made it look so elegant. I thought the dress was too big at first, the lace in the back is really usefull. Especially since those are dresses you can use again for different social event and can still adjust for your body type even if you loose or gain weight in between.
I would have went for one that was in between not quite as high it is now. The dress fits the girl ,it is good to see someone not looking like they are ‘busting ‘ out of a dress.
