Operation Yewtree led to convictions of less than half of those they accused. High profile and experienced judges, lawyers, police commissioners, policy makers etc etc have come out and pointed to a multitude of failings and presumptions made in the investigation. A couple of high profile offenders were found out of the massive amount of people that were accused. If you shoot enough bullets with a blindfold on - you’ll eventually hit a target, but you’ll take out a lot of innocent bystanders in the process….
What is heartbreaking is knowing what we know about Saville and others the survivors have to wait for the death of those protected by the establishment for the actual truth to be revealed.

When he is asked publicly , why his name was on the guest list at Elm guest house, why there is photographic evidence of him with the gay Kray brother doing their trousers up, drinking in clubs with them, Lord Boothby, Ted Heath and his cosy friendship with cross dressing Tony 'Miranda' Blair who was arrested for cottaging long before he became prime minister and why Cliff Richard has a record for cottaging also on the 60s under his real name - and much much more.... when this EVIDENCE can be explained by Christian Cliff Richard, THEN maybe.... just maybe.... he can start on the long long road to forgiveness

Tina UK Actually I’ve never been a big Cliff fan, although I’ve nothing against the guy or his music. It’s just that I’ve grown extremely wary of “trial by media” with such stunts as the misguided reporting of the police raid on Cliff’s house without his ever being charged, and the “evidence” you find on conspiracy websites and internet chat-rooms ... all of which helps to create a lynch-mob mentality that condemns a person without their having to appear in court. There’s a risk of too much emotion taking over, causing him to be judged without proper forensic examination of any real evidence, or of the lack of it. Anyway, I guess there are many people out there sharing both our viewpoints ... so we’ll just have to agree to differ!
He is such a sweet man, my heart aches every time I hear him talk about that awful time. I was so glad he was able to forgive the accuser. I think this sweet man would implode if he carried bitterness and hate in his heart…it is just not in him.

Like I noticed something he said, and that was he awoke one morning and said he must forgive the person who accused him, well I know forgiveness doesn't come to you like that. When you fill pain from something someone else has done to you, you want to tear them limb from limb. If you manage to pass that stage and some people dont, but many do, you come to realise the reason they did what they did, is an attempt to get someone to help them with the pain they are feeling. After that stage and only after that stage will you find forgiveness, waking up one morning just thinking you need to forgive them, just doesn't happen. Unless of course that person doesn't have a bad bone in their body, and that sort of person is about as rare as rocking horse shet.

David McMullan The response is the same because the accusations are the same. The HUGE burden of proof has already been put on Cliff by the BBC, law and the public. He has been acquitted following a two year extensive investigation. The ignorant and pathetic stupidly dismiss all this - that’s what makes them ignorant and pathetic.

Can someone kindly inform me please? I'm not defending Cliff - I simply don't know too much about the case. He's talking in the singular. Is it one person who has come forward? Also, isn't there an interview between one of the victims & a worker at the time of Elm Guest House, where he says that Cliff wasn't one of the visitors? I'm sure I've seen it on here. Cliff sued the BBC, he sued South Yorkshire Police; it was highly public; with it being so public; surely people could have come forward and said something. We know certain accusers have been exposed as liars. Unfortunately; some people will always see Cliff as guilty. Even when he’s been through the high court. Cliff keeps his sexuality private. He has a right to a private life.
