George, to everyone listening I am a 24-year-old female sitting in my car battling with addiction to alcohol and homelessness trying to get into a treatment center by tonight. I just want you to know that you have helped comfort me today in this moment and helped me realize my relationship with God is the priority moving forward with my recovery. I just want to thank you for being that, little bit of help and peace in a rather tumultuous time for me. Update: I’ve been in a recovery program and met the most amazing people. I am seeing God work in my life thank you to all that have commented support. It is brought happy tears to my eyes, I’m sober and feeling hope again. I’m gonna confess it here. I strayed away from God about 10 years ago when I was young teen and he recently pulled me out of the world and brought me back to him and his word. I fell into the temptations of the world and became addicted to just about everything Jesus tells us to avoid. I got to the point where I felt empty and alone even though I was experiencing all of the pleasures the world had to offer. And ever since I made the decision to devote my life back to Jesus a couple weeks ago, God has removed those temptations from my mind completely. George your podcast has helped me a lot to come back to the Lord and now I hope to do the same for others. To any of y’all still reading this, if you’re apart from God, NOW is the time to leave the things of this world and come back to him. Praise be the name of Jesus Christ.

Is Jesus God or human or Son of God or without a father or son of marry or a God that can be killed by humans? I love Jesus but God cannot be born nor destroyed he's beyond our imaginations. I do follow Jesus path as messenger old Testament but not Church which is run by atheists.

Jesus God and the Holy Spirit are one. How I personally think of it is like an atom, it has protons, neutrons, and electrons which all together are an atom. I’m not going to lie to you and say the trinity makes perfect sense. But truly if you ask where and why enough about almost anything in this life that we’ve seen with our own eyes you’ll end up just needing to have faith that it’s true. Jesus is God and flesh, showed how to live a perfect sinless life and was the ultimate sacrifice for our sin. It’s ok to have questions though. I still do everyday but the more I study the Bible and other books, including the Quran, I find more answers.
I had resented god for nearly all of my life. Growing up I had very abusive parents, my dad an alcoholic and my mom on and off heroin. I’ve been through countless struggles that brought me to my breaking point and made me want to end it all. About 7 months ago, I started to feel a deeper sense of judgment within me. I began questioning the habits I was indulging in, and the dark emotions that resided in me. I began to feel a yearning for god, but I didn’t think I was at all worthy of building a relationship with him due to the ways I was living, and my past resentment towards him. Then I watched you and Cliffe. Your vulnerability about seeking god, and about your imperfections opened my eyes and made me see it was possible. I let out a world of emotions through tears that I never had before, and after I finished the podcast I bought a bible and have been reading it ever since. I can’t describe how truly lifesaving this has been, thank you.

You shouldn’t have told anyone about your fast, God said to fast in secret, you won’t get anything from your fast because you couldn’t keep it in secret with the Father. Don’t believe me? Google it.
1. You are not fasting social media, you classify it as a sacrifice for God, but not fasting 2. Fasting is a way to connect better and grow spiritually with God, it’s supposed to be a relationship between you to, never announce your fasting to nobody (fasting only applies on food)
Whether George sees this or not I’ll just say it is truly incredible to see God moving in his life. Just being honest my faith has been growing very much recently and all glory to God but before when George was on older podcasts it was easy for me to judge because he seemed to be living a worldly life and calling himself Christian. And I apologize and repent to God and George for thinking in this way. But I will say it is amazing to see George’s faith taking off. We are all in the process of learning and growing together and seeing George give up things such as cursing is showing his true fear of the Lord and wanting to do better on this earth. I just quit weed to crucify my flesh and submit to giving Christ a clean temple. Im 32 and been smoking for 18 years. Ive been shaky and drenching my bed at night with sweat but my eyes are open to how many blessings Christ provides daily, now i see smoking as a subtle way to blind and distract you from your blessings. George, I have been a Christian for about a year now. Let me tell you, I too went through the exact same questions you are in this podcast one day. I just wanted to say, that this really did take me back, to the time when I was frantically "researching" theological issues as a fresh convert. It's not often people talk about [in some degrees] fringe topics like speaking in tongues and spirit baptism in a podcast setting like here, and so after answering them for myself, I somewhat just forgot about the topic, thinking like "yup, cross that one off too, now that we have an answer". It is so pleasant to see someone voice their concerns, being clueless, like I was back when. While yes, I do disagree on many conclusions discussed, like believers baptism and usage of angelic tongues. I do appreciate you coming out to the public with your questions. Many of us, especially in the beginning are very much afraid of asking these questions that hold much tension between the two disagreeing sides. 1 Corinthians 14:2 "For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries." Hearing Stuart talk about his faith being more "up here" as in more of a reasoning and intellectual (for lack of better words) faith and hearing Cliffe talk about those emotional surreal experiences as an exception rather than the rule is incredibly encouraging to me. I've never had crazy out of body or emotional spiritual experiences like Belle and sometimes I feel left behind, or like I am doing something wrong when it comes to seeking the Lord. But when I see men like Cliffe and Stuart and the impact they have had on so many others including myself, it definitely encourages me when I at times feel like God can't hear me.
Seeing George cry hits hard cause I’m like you George. I fail God so much yet my friends, family, church individuals look at me as a strong Christian they always say “you walk with God” or “youre blessed with wisdom of God”; and all you said how you felt is how I feel. I cried with you brother but trust me sometimes our teachings and wisdom that God blessed us with is not for ourselves but to help others. Keep pushing and keep growing with God. I started tearing as soon as you started talking about the power you felt when that couple who spoke in tounges prayed over you guys. I felt that when I waked into this small Pentecostal church and I doubted on the gifts but I’m telling you guys it’s REAL!!! I was depressed and have journal entries of me over the years cursing god. Then on march 18, 2023, a lady was looking at her phone and hit my car (was turning off the highway) and sent me into oncoming traffic . Right before impact I felt what I imagine to be hands on my shoulder before I blacked out. It could have been some chemical response, but it felt so real it shook me to my core. As of a couple nights ago, I opened the Bible for the first . As of today I struggle with a lot of things such as marijuana use and lust, but I have faith that God and the Gospel can wash away my sins in due time🙏

I struggle with it every waking moment, but 6 months ago my comfort in life was that “no matter what I go through , as long as I have my vape and I have porn, I’ll get through it.” I like to think divine intervention was the only thing that could give me the drive to fight the urges . Just talk to God from your heart as he is your best friend /father and he will listen to you and the Holy Spirit does take over once you believe and confess with your tongue that Jesus died for your sins. On the tongues topic, thought I'd quickly testify on this with an example: Summer of 2022, I was traveling around the USA in a big ole van with 8 other 19-24 year olds, evangelizing, praying, and holding worship gatherings in different cities. At our first stop, Charleston West Virginia, we had gathered downstairs in the church in the kids playroom to pray before Sunday's service began. One of the pastor's daughters began speaking in tongues, and while hearing her speak in tongues, I felt a stirring from the holy spirit for myself and two other of my teammates who were in the room to seek an interpretation from the Holy Spirit. The three of us stopped praying, and began to seek the Holy Spirit for interpretation on what was being said. After she finished speaking in tongues, we came back together with our results, and what we each got from the Holy Spirit shocked us. Each one of us, with no convening at all, had gotten the same thing with the same two central words. The Holy Spirit elected to elaborate on different subpoints within the interpretation, but we all interpreted the exact same central two words: "SEEK ME." When I have more time, I can elaborate more on this if there are questions. :)
Im so glad I tuned into this today... This past Sunday, I asked to pray for my Dad and his pain! I really can't explain it, but during our prayer I spoke in tongues! I spoke 2 distinct words and repeated them over and over! and in that moment, I stopped crying I stopped shaking and felt so much relief. I can't explain it.... All I know is that my tongue went from fat and dry, feeling like I needed the biggest drink of water, and then my thirst was quenched, and the words flowed! And afterwards I called my mom and she went "ahhhh you spoke tongues" and then continued to tell me that she experienced this as a teenager and she NEVER told anyone! I discovered Cliffe and Stuart about a year ago and because of their ministry and their courage to spread the message of the gospel to those who challenged them has not only made me understand the reason for my faith but has also strengthened it. George I understand how you feel about not being worthy of sharing the message of Christ, and perhaps struggling to live a life that’s in line with the way Christ lived. I feel and I am the exact same way and I’m very glad that you were able to bring up that vulnerability and ask that question because many of us are struggling with the same issue. I sympathize with you George and the fact that you recognize that there is a struggle just shows how much you love God by not trying to give in to the struggle. Thank you. Belle I was also very touched with your testimony of your encounter with the Holy Spirit. I feel like many times most of us have a battle in our minds which makes us confused, or makes us give in to our guilt, or cause us to doubt, but you were able to overcome the mental aspect of your struggle and let your heart be touched by the spirit. @@Remider_1 The reason why I cannot believe in Islam is because when I look at the Quran, and when I look at the historical evidence for the life of Muhammad, in the way that he lived, taught, and died, it does not convince me to believe in him as a prophet and also as his messenger of God. When I read Sahi Buhari and sahi musilm for their Hadith about the historical evidence of the life of Mohammed it does not convince me to follow him. However, the historical evidence of how Jesus lived, taught, died, and rose from the dead points me to him as being reliable. He is the way the truth and the life no one can go to the father except through for him. Jesus Christ and you can be saved. I’ll be praying for your brother.

Can anybody please pray for me.. ive been under demonic attack for 20 years and I didn't realise until afew days ago. theres so much damage done in my life. my life genuinely might end this week. Its funny how at the end of my life how everything is revealed. I now know that jesus truly is god im my spirit and soul has been saved as i give it wholeheartedly to the lord jesus Christ. The demons may have won my in my temporary human life but my soul is saved in Jesus Christ glorious name. Praise the lord ❤
The enemy is a liar and always trying to get us to takd our life. You are valuable, your life has meaning and you have purpose! Your biggest weapon is praise and worship and Thanksgiving! That seems tp help me when I have wanted to take my life, but thoae things have helped on top of Gods faithfulness and goodness

Love this....George and Bell are a perfect example of the new Christian/toddler....full of excitement and questions, but also open to many voices. George and Stuart mature and seasoned. CHOOSE the "seasoned" voices you listen to....and always remember something the woman who led me (unchurched) to the Lord...if the man in the pulpit says one thing and the Bible says another....BELIEVE the Bible!! One more thing I've learned after many years...God deals with EVERY one of His children in a personal way - sanctification - and will use them as HE WILL and surrender to THAT brings peace. Putting yourself on/in a podcast that is viewed by thousands of people is also putting yourself on the front line for the enemy....PLEASE make sure you have the FULL armour of God....have someone in the faith your are willing to be accountable to and if God says 'sit out' for a while would your ego let you. God doesn't NEED us for ANYTHING...HE WILL accomplish whatever He wants. He ALLOWS us to participate for OUR growth/sanctification.....and like a child (which we all are)...we LOVE and ADORE Him.

I was praying with my rector in church about a family difficulty, he put his hands on me while I prayed and was gently whispering and affirming my prayer, some in English, some in tongues. I didn’t understand the tongues, but I felt the Holy Spirit powerfully present. I was brought to tears and he then prayed afterwards (in English). God heard that prayer. Things haven’t got easier, but I know God heard. I know he’s answered and that I need to keep being strong. I can’t give a formula to know 100% of the time when tongues are genuine or how to understand them, but I can tell you that in that private moment of personal prayer with God, with my rectors hands on me, that the Holy Spirit poured from his mouth. It was from God and it was beautiful.

I never comment on RU-vid videos at all. But I really wanted to share this experience I just had. Im in a dark place at the moment, so everyday I want to learn how to come closer to God because I want to give my life to him, but I don’t know how. Listening to George talk about baptism was interesting for me because I myself am not baptised. Then Cliffe says something at 42:23 “Lord Jesus, speak to me, and whatever you tell me to do I want to do it”. So, I paused the video, I grabbed my bible, and I repeated the exact words over and over. I said, Lord, I’m going to open the bible, guide my hand and finger to a passage and whatever it is, that’s what you want from me. And it was Matthew 3:13, the baptism of Jesus. I am not baptised yet. I know God has plans for me now. I think this was truly a sign.

There are 3 kinds of tongues in the Bible. 1. The Day of Pentecost they spoke in foreign languages (which served as a miraculous sign to the unbelievers) 2. Public Tongues that no one understands that must be interpreted 3. Tongues as a private prayer language
Yeah, they snubbed the private prayer aspect of it which is honestly the most powerful part. And it's not a gift that only a few get. It's available for everyone!
I'm a Pentecostal Christian, and we believe that speaking in tongues is evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Like Belle was saying, it's intensely spiritual, and it's part of the reason why we still believe in healings and the miraculous.
I got baptised at home on my own by the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues. It was the most incredible and humbling experience, I cried my eyes out. Having that experience took my faith to the next level. The Holy Spirit gives us the gifts, He came after Jesus left us. ❤ I used to think tongues were crazy gibberish and cringe!! I'm still too shy to do it in public tbh. I was even shy to do it in front of my husband.
I go to a Pentecostal church but never spoke in tongues until one day at early morning prayer I heard the Lord say he would release tongues upon me. It was like a wave of heat hit me. After that I didn't speak in tongues for almost 10 years because I drifted from the Lord, until again I asked the Lord to reignite that gift once again. It is something so beautiful and done in order and control. The Lord has even given me songs in tongues that I was even given the interpretation to as well. Personally myself I pray in tongues in my secret place with the Lord. At times I do pray in tongues at church especially when the Holy Spirit is moving.

@@Ginger_HAwesome experience dear. God is good. What other believers miss about the issue and concept of tongues is that. There's tongues as in a prayer language where you speak or pray with like Romans 8: 26 talks about. Groans that words cannot express. Again, 1 Corinthians 14:2..And we have the speaking in tongues which will require interpretation especially when in a congregation and all of a sudden a person begins ulterances. Paul said such tongues without interpretation is unfruitful to the congregation. So you can pray in tongues which the same spirit enables and gives and also some people who have that specific gift of interpreting tongues. The same spirit enables both. Just that we should be careful and see the fruits that is bore.

Growing up, my mom and my dad, always used to teach me about God. They both had an unbelievable relationship with him. Always telling me to pray, to read, they prayed for me all the time, I really felt the love God was giving me. When I was 7 years old, almost 8, my mom passed away. She had cancer. I could never pray anymore. I couldn’t read the bible. I felt angry at God, had so many questions. Why her, why us? She was good, she followed you, why did you have to take her? And similar…probably a lot of people had asked God this. My relationship with him almost faded away. I always knew in my heart that he is here and he is in fact listening to my pain, but I started to not worry about him anymore. When I was 13, we had a summer camp that me and my best friend went on. It was a Christian summer camp that organized our local church. It was so beautiful. A lot of kids, a lot of God’s people, people who really know what to tell me and how to answer some of my questions. Last night of the camp we had like a labyrinth, we went on all the different stations they made for us and every is different than the other one. And the last one was just this one man and one woman. I went up to them and I told them I’m suffering, I am in pain, I’m angry. I cried before they even started the prayer. In the middle of the prayer, he started praying in tongues and she interpreted for him. I didn’t know what i was listening to but i had such an amazing feeling. When they finished, I bawled my eyes out. I felt like never before. I felt unstoppable. I knew God loves me no matter what. That prayer changed my mind about everything. I knew there was in fact God. Real God that loves me. Not just a book, not just stories, a real God, that really gave his son to die for me and loved me. And that feeling was something I never felt or will feel before. Because of someone who prayed in tongues. God knew i needed a proof and God knew i was suffering. I never felt that kind of pain anymore after that prayer. Will remember it forever.
Been watching Cliffe for a while. He taught me a lot since 2020 when I first encountered Christ. Recently my fire for God had been rekindle and Cliffe is one of the many people I get my knowledge from. Such a magnificent teacher, so is his son Stuart.

Most of my time spent as a Christian I've felt like my love for Jesus was just mediocre, indifferent. Watching this video I went through tribulation like I've never felt before and then you opened up about how you felt like Nicodemus and I had to admit I always felt the same. I always understood baptism of the Holy Spirit as the day you truly dedicate or surrender your life to Jesus. In our church we pray for the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. And many people speak in tongues. I've heard many testimonies tied to speaking in tongues. I always understood it as the Holy Spirit interceding on your behalf. I'll try to recall this one testimony as best I can. One older lady prayed 2 very similar phrases in tongues all her life. One day she was praying quietly, and some guy overheard her prayer and was very surprised. He asked her how she knew that language as it was a very particular dialect spoken by his home village on some tiny islands on the other side of the world. She replied saying she does not know what she is praying, as that is the Holy Spirit. He then translated what she was praying. One of the phrases was healing over a leg. During that time that ladies moms leg was severely infected, to the point of rot, and going to be amputated within a few days. The day it was scheduled to be amputated, the surgeon came in lifted the sheet, assumed it was the wrong leg, lifted the other sheet only to see 2 perfectly healthy legs. The daughter prayed those words for 30 years not knowing what they meant, the Holy Spirit was interceding on her behalf decades before the leg was even infected. Sometimes the Gifts don't make sense but it is from the Holy Spirit.

That seems a bit odd though. God has a religion. Jesus observed Holy days and prayed. He fasted. God set up a system of priesthood, ceremonies, etc. He is our religion. He is our high priest and king
That's cringe. Look up the etymology of "religion". It basically means the act of observing our duties, in this case to God. Imagine a father saying "no I don't take care of my son, we just have a relationship", as if taking care of their responsibilities as a father was a bad thing.
George, I kid you not, I prayed this exact podcast last night! I was doubting if I was actually praying from my heart or if I was just praying what I think Christ wants to hear from me. I was feeling like a counterfeit Christian. Just got hooked on this podcast. Luv it, you remind me so much of myself during my Christian walk 10yrs ago. A good friend told me this profound statement during the beginning of my journey. " If it takes 10 miles to walk into the forest, it will take 10 miles to walk out." As Christians we are all on different journeys but heading in the same direction. I feel deeply George's wrestling with his inadequacy in front of the LORD. When you grow closer to Him and realize how Holy our God is, you realize what a true wretch you are. I, too, feel like a fraud, George, as I wrestle with my sin. It helps to fellowship with others who have wisdom. I've been born again 7 years and feel like a baby still. Lukewarm. It's time to step it up and listening to great shows like this helps tremendously. Your vulnerability is helping others come to Christ, I just know it.
I feel for George so much in this video. There has been so many moments in my life where I've been ignoring God and giving into my temptations and desires. As a Christian that's devoted my life to Christ day by day I feel more and more like a wretched sinner and I talk to people that don't know God the way I do and I just feel like I shouldn't be telling people how to be with God when I myself am such a dirty human being that I just disobey God everyday.
