Oh yeah I never actually thought about why does as her name implies Emily Elizabeth had two names. I mean I heard of a Hispanic woman having a long multi names but a blonde white girl like her? Only other person that I never questioned why she has two names is DW when I was little I never understood why her name is Dora and Winifred at the same time. That’s why I never thought of her name actually being Dora Winifred just Deedoublewe. Kind of like the same with artoodeetoo instead of R2-D2 from star wars or Gan2 instead of Gantu from lilo and stitch.
You know, it's episodes like these that make me wonder, 'Why does Emily Elizabeth still trust Jetta after all the times she manipulated and gaslighted her and her friends?'
I remember the episode where Emily Elizabeth wanted to invite Jetta to a party. After Jetta insulted the decorations that Emily and Charley were putting together, Charley insisted that Emily not invite Jetta. It did hurt Jetta's feelings, and Emily did end up inviting her after all.
@hardcoreking52 I remember that part. Had Clifford and Mac hadn't brought it to Emily's attention that Jetta was moping around at home, Jetta would've missed out on a really nice party.
Fun Fact:Emily Elizabeth is voiced by Grey DeLisle, the same actress who played Vicky from The Fairly OddParents,Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy,Daphne from the Scooby-Doo franchise,Frankie and Goo from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, and Azula from Avatar:The Last Airbender. So,Emily was one of Grey's characters I've grown up with as a child, along with Mandy and Vicky.
@@mattneff I got an idea of an episode. Maybe an episode of FU Max containing clips from season 1 episode 20b of Dragon Tales No Hitter. In it Max punches Emmy and kicks Ord in the tail. This is another bad Dragon Tales episode. Max is a complete jerk in that Dragon Tales episode. Quetzal punished him by taking him out of the game of Dragon ball.
Dang this is unfortunate, 😢I’m not sure what the world will do without John DiMaggio, Tom Kenny (and Justin Rolland) they voice both adult cartoons and kids shows
@@ladymacbethofmtensk896 apparently dog poop can be used as an energy source like powering street lamps, so maybe Clifford’s poop is what’s powering the island.
I loved this show growing up. I just wonder how long it possibly would’ve gone on for if John Ritter didn’t leave this world too soon. I don’t know why but every time I hear or see the outro to this show, I get a little emotional. I don’t know why. I guess it just releases more nostalgia but with the thought that the man voicing the lovable, red-furred, pooch is gone. I just hope he’s resting in peace knowing that his friends, family, and fans still adore him and miss him. RIP John Ritter and to others who’d passed in the years after the show.
8:49 my headcamom is that the government pays Emily Elizabeth’s family a ton of money every month to study Clifford to hopefully recreate the phenomenon that made him grow huge, possibly for military purposes
It's confirmed in the show's opening and theme song that Clifford's size is the result of Emily Elizabeth's love for him. I'm not entirely sure how the govt. would try to replicate THAT, but I bet their attempts would be undoubtedly hilarious. Like, would they try inoculating the military with endless hugs or something?
Man, I loved this show growing up. Though I never caught that when the animals talked, the humans couldn't understand them and thought they were willfully ignorant. I do remember Jetta causing a lot of problems though, but at least she usually apologizes when she's wrong, something that cannot be said for others.... *cough* D.W. *cough*
lol for me I hear corrin from fire emblem. It’s also a bit funny the comment he said about Mac since cam Clarke is a openly gay va which is pretty cool
0:46 - Emily Elizabeth could have been thinking about the Monkees, a rock band from the 1960's. 1:25 - (Insert quote from the seagulls from Finding Nemo here.) 5:24 - Now, this is simply my personal opinion, but The Amazing World of Gumball has aged about at well as the milk Gumball kept under his bed. 5:55 - Even as a kid, I always wondered where Clifford pooped. 8:53 - I see you saw that Robot Chicken sketch. There's another one where Clifford dies and Emily Elizabeth disposes of his body in the Grand Canyon. I guess the neutering didn't go over so well.
Whats interesting how many known well known va : grey griffin(azula), cree summer( numbah 5), cam Clarke (voice of liquid snake corrin), Kate souchie( Phil and lil) etc. didn’t realize they voiced some of the characters in this show
@@wesleyhunt7599Maybe the fact that T Bone's old friend (voiced by Kenan Thompson) was named Hamburger is a reference to Kel Mitchell's role as Ed from Good Burger.
Actually, in the episode “Welcome to Birdwell Island 🏝️ “ it was said that the community covers the cost of his food since Clifford proved to be an asset to the community.
As for Emily Elizabeth misspelling the word "monkey" maybe she thought that it was spelled with the two e's because maybe her parents are fans of The Monkees!
2:08 Cleo happens to be voiced by Cree Summer the voice of Penny from the Original Inspector Gadget as well as Suzie from Rugrats and Dulcy the Dragon from Sonic Satam
The show's got quite an impressive voice cast. A lot of the biggest names in cartoon voice acting, plus Three's Company star John Ritter as Clifford and the Kel of Kenan and Kel as T-Bone. Even had an episode where another dog that was T-Bone had a friend (or something, I forget) voiced by Kenan Thompson. Even the Puppy Days spinoff had the likes of Henry Winkler in the casr.
I can't imagine how much it costs the Howards to spend on dog food for a dog the size of an elephant! And I thought I'm spending a fortune feeding four dogs of various sizes! 😂
I used to absolutely hate these two episode and because of them I hated Jetta too. I have no idea how her and Emily were ever considered "best friends".
I briefly watched the reboot/later seasons to know how different it was from the original. I immediately noticed the change in animation, character design, and voice acting, but something huge I noticed that changed was… Emily Elizabeth can now talk to Clifford!
I'd love to see a F U Miko from Transformers Prime series. Shadowzone definitely has to be one. The Darkness Rising episodes had a lot of F U moments for her. A F U Lois Griffin series would be cool too.
Remember that episode where Bobby was cooking and I think cleaning and Peggy was jealous? How can she be jealous of her son cooking & cleaning for a change?
It's clear why Emily Elizabeth spelled "monkey" that way. She clearly read a lot of 90's Transformers fan blogs that whined about how much they hated Beast Wars. Everyone always saying "TRUKK not MONKEE!" Also, Mac's voice actor once, for a brief time, played a dog that was much more beloved and lovable.
There was an episode where Jetta got super jealous of Clifford, so she made up an obscure story that she had a giant parrot 🦜 named Lu Lu. She actually dressed up Clifford AS a giant parrot to pass him off as “Lu Lu” But when Jetta saw that all the kids were idolizing Lu Lu saying that Lu Lu was better than Mac or Clifford, Jetta started feeling terrible and told the truth to everyone. So deep down, Jetta is a good friend 🥲👍
The story of that bird stealing Jetta's medal, I remember when I was little, I was on a trip, I think it was in New York, we were having lunch I think on a boardwalk or something like that. There were these seagulls that were swooping in and stealing food. I was having a hamburger for lunch, but unfortunately a seagull ended up stealing it before I could finish it. I was not thrilled about that seagull stealing my burger.
Can’t believe there are so many problematic characters in Kids Tv shows on Cartoon Network Nickelodeon and pbs kids. Also you uploaded on my birthday so this is your best video lol ❤️❤️❤️
I totally thought her name was Jenna, not Jetta, at first. (I already know now that it’s Jetta) Just like Sara/Sarah from Land Before Time is actually Cera.
@@melissacooper8724It's a play on her species' name, Triceratops, although considering that most dinosaurs in the Land Before Time movies don't refer to themselves by their scientific names, one must wonder how Cera got her name even then.
The episode "Promises, Promises" is a good candidate. Plot: Jetta promises to take Emily Elizabeth to a coral cave only to abandon her and go to an amusement park with a fifth grader.
Why does Jetta want to go to Hawaii? They already live on an island. It’d be one thing if they lived in Iowa or some Midwest landlocked state but Birdweld island is already an island resembling Martha’s Vineyard since it has seasons and winters
@@kiaralover-tm4tv Dalmatians are one of my favorite dog breeds, next to the husky and the labrador. What other animal characters did Kath Soucie play?
the live action clifford could'nt have being an horror movie out of context even though he's an giant puppy in that , and he's not puppy trained , what could go wrong ( an man in an giant clear ball got mistaken for an dog toy , emily elizabeth's uncle got whiplash from flying acrossed the room by clifford's tail ) this happens in the live action movie
Admittedly, I didn't expect Jetta to be covered in one of these. Even though she was arrogant in a lot of episodes of the series, there are still some occasions where she is reprimanded (Such as in Season 1 Episode 34B). If only mildly.
Not gonna lie, I have never heard of a real human having the name Jetta. She was also so forgettable for me, which is surprising since I remember her dog CLEAR AS DAY. The specific episode with that dog (the light blueish one)was one where it was teaching about why bragging and showing off can negatively impact friendships. "Was that trick good, or was that trick good 🤭" type of energy. Clifford and company were irritated with him for that
You should check out the carnival episode where Jetta was suppose to wait for the man delivering the tracker for the hay ride and tell him where to go, and instead she took off before the deliveryman got there because she wanted to go on the ferris wheel.
I gotta be honest. When I read the title of the video, I thought it was gonna be some R-rated Creepypasta horror short. Like, I thought Clifford was suddenly turning evil and gonna literally eat Jetta alive, but oh boy did I fall for that one big time! 😂 Also, I like how you replaced Emily’s voice with Cartman’s voice line at the start there 🤣
That's such a low hanging fruit Cartman is an asshole in a land of assholes these shows are filled with kiddy sportsmanship and then has one ahole in it
Jetta is an absolute nightmare. She makes Regina George look nice. I’m surprised Clifford has eaten her, I would send my mutant dog to eat her. Jetta’s dog Mac acts exactly like her. it’s a scientific fact that dogs take the traits of their masters
Ahh, Clifford the big red dog. my favourite show since my childhood. Also, the episode, Jetta's sneak peak, seeing Emily Elizabeth angry was one of the most rarest moment in Clifford history.
In the Off the Mark comic strip by Mark Parisi, there's a picture of Clifford smiling while Emily Elizabeth angrily hacks away at an overgrown backyard with a scythe. It reads "World's Best Fertilized Lawn". 😂
the episode to catch a bird reminds me of an episode of Horseland called The Big Parade a similar plot along with it, with the group also accusing a main character who is a blonde girl, I recommend you review that episode next on its just a cartoon as that show could get toxic a lot.
When I was a kid I thought her name was “Jenna”. And Why does Emily still trust jetta after all the times she was a jerk to her? If I were Emily, I’d tell that brat to leave me and Clifford alone and remind her of all the times she as a jerk before walking off, leaving jetta standing there with a jaw-dropped face that reads “holy crud, she’s right! I am a jerk!”
