In this video on Archinest, we take you on a tour of HY House, an innovative residence in Vietnam designed by TRAN TRUNG Architects. Located on a narrow plot of land in a dense urban environment, HY House has successfully created an open space that blends with nature, providing a comfortable and healthy atmosphere for its residents.
Facing the challenge of limited land and being surrounded by high walls, the architects designed a unique climate-responsive structure. With a tropical shell facade made of clay bricks designed to maximize natural ventilation, the house is not only protected from external elements such as dust, sun heat, and rain, but also allows fresh air to flow into every corner of the space.
The design of HY House emphasizes openness and minimal partitions between the interior and exterior spaces, giving a spacious feel to the narrow plot while creating a strong connection with nature. The presence of natural vegetation throughout the house creates a calm atmosphere, helping to improve the mental and physical well-being of its residents, especially in the context of a post-Covid-19 world.
Watch this video to see how this innovative architecture overcomes space constraints and provides a sustainable and healthy housing solution amidst the hustle and bustle of the big city.
