@@shinyfrow It's not all about being able to climb. It prevents them from having fun/having a reasonable challenge in the game as they are intended because they get destroyed by a smurf. Not everyone plays League like it's their job, and it sucks getting stomped on by pros who want to show off.
Just hit Diamond with Urgot. When you shove in, walk with your jungler if he's top or gank mid. Take TP if you want macro and use it to rotate, if you're ahead always split away from whatever objective is up. Split bot when Baron is up, be top when Drake is up.
@Primimimimimimimi true, but honestly no champs kit alone is going to carry anyone to diamond without higher decision-making following it. I have over 1m mastery with him, but the urgot-specific advice I can give is fairly limited. I'll try anyway: •At level 9 (when you should have your W maxed), you want to weave your autos in with your W for max damage output. If you don't take the attack speed quint, it'll go like this: Auto attack first (AA), have your W attack 3 times (W), then auto attack again. If you take the attack speed quint, you can weave your auto attack in after only 2 W's. Try it on turrets to get the hang of it before doing it on champions. Then get used to doing it in 1v1s before doing it in teamfights. Without AS quint: AA, W, W, W, AA, repeat. With AS quint: AA, W, W, AA, repeat. •Take Fleet Footwork next to always. It's so good. •Always start with Dorans Blade (except for edge cases like teemo, darius, or champs with dot), on first back buy cull. With Fleet, this gives you crazy sustain by level 9. •When/if you buy Hullbreaker, W the turret till Hullbreaker is at 4 stacks (you'll see the icon), then auto the turret. You'll maximize damage this way, and it's the fastest way to knock down turrets. •You HAVE to itemize well on Urgot to succeed, Urgot's only true item he wants to buy every game is Black Cleaver, maybe hullbreaker. Build wisely, decide if your team needs you to deal damage this game, or if being tankier will be more helpful for your team. If you're fighting champs like Vayne, Yi, other tank-shredders, feel free to build damage and try to turn them into smears on the jungle floor rather than spending 9k in resistances to live two seconds longer. •Learn to Flash E and CC buffer consistently. It is a mandatory skill. Hope these help. 👍

"One of the worst early games". I find this idea interesting. I'd imagine if you can land a few free cleavers it can totally change the lane state. So, I wonder if it's a "top player perspective" where the skillshot is assumed dodged. I saw something similar in Alois's Singed in low rank opinion. Stuff that relies on *opponent* mistakes seems ignored in value for low rank. Despite low rank being far more likely to make such errors. I end up agreeing with Alois's take, but more from a perspective of "enemies will stop eating cleavers/stop chasing singed" at some point in the climb. So relying on it doesn't help you improve past that cut off. I'm commenting more due to phrasing differences since the conclusion arrives around the same place.
Mundo has an objectively weak early game: he gets bullied by most of the toplane roster and requires a substantial hp advantage to win all-ins. This is true regardless of whether his opponent lets him hit multiple cleavers. Any champion can look strong if their opponent makes enough mistakes, I’ve killed people as pre-6 Nasus because they underestimated the power of minions. Furthermore, it’s not just a matter of low mmr opponents not being able to dodge skillshots that makes Mundo perform well there, it is also the fact that they make dozens of other mistakes (and matches are longer) that makes Mundo’s weak early game less of a factor than in higher elos. Take the game vs Trundle, despite having a monumentally stronger level 1 he doesn’t zone Alois level 1 and even lets him cs casters WITH AUTOS. Mundo should be forced to cleaver farm in most matchups, which leads to opponents having at minimum a lead in cs. If this doesn’t happen, Mundo is able to come online much sooner than he should be assuming both players are playing properly (or closer to it).
@@antx4662 to top on that even if you land a few cleavers early on against decent ppl you have realistically no way to get away with a kill appart from 1 lvl advantages, your own abilities takes too much hp for any valuable trade and you lack bursting against low hp target
I think Alois is objectively saying he is a weak early game champ, similar to for example nasus being weak early. On the other hand there are strong early game champs. This is just objectively true not relying on things. For example Pantheon is very strong early game with a 4second Q cooldown and strong damage and gapclose. Renekton Darius these are very strong early game and need to play dominant if you want to get your champion alive. Mundo on the other hand (like Nasus) needs to wait to get his health scaling. Kayle is another example of a worst early game champ, lvl1-6 is so shit, but lvl 16 good luck playing against him.
In low elo people don't know they have to actively destroy mundo early and even if they know it they don't know how to do it, so this enables him to become relevant and scale in the game, while in high elo he will only pick it as a number 10 while he knows the whole enemy team composition, otherwise enemy top picks Vayne and he hangs himself after 15 minutes of playing
@AloisNL you have amazing teaching co tent - bud for low MMR, it is extremely unlikely that you loose lane or break even - because you’ll win thru farm and mechanics and experience - things we do not have and that is why we are stuck - did you consider doing this type of video with actual player from low ELO where you’d be couching them thru the game to showcase more what we should do in those awkward situations like enemy adc with 20 kills at 20minutes?
While this concept is superior if executed properly, even if he would find good pupils it would take too much time to make imo. Involving more people in a video makes it exponentially harder to make
Mundo otp here this was great to watch. A few things to keep in mind when playing him; his best burst is qae not aeq bc his q does max hp. Also, his ult heals based on missing HP so try and minmax that
He didn’t mean it does max hp as in where the damage comes from. If it does current hp damage and you lead with it, they have more hp so it does the maximum possible amount of damage.
I think an item everyone forgets is insane on Mundo is Steraks. That low health shield lets you heal to full with your ult while taking no damage, and it scales with HP.
@@asuri8751A big part of Sterak's value comes from the AD it gives you, which scales off base AD. Sterak's is funny but not particularly great for Mundo.

Alois pls can you tell us how to improve lp gains ,cuz after a winstreak you don't get better lp gains after a lose streak the lp loss becomes huge everytime and cannot be fixed even with winning or climbing
Used to be a mundo One-trick a while back, and I dont recommend playing him to climb. Too many counter picks, no strength early. And even if you manage to scale, there's also a 50/50 chance you get some pigs on your team which feed the the enemy zeri 10 kills and the game is over at 15 minutes. Play garen instead. So much more damage, even better survivability early due to passive, better split pushing, better escape.
Im playing 1 game daily, today I watched ur vid, make nots and what happend? My jungler went 0/13, support 0/11, everyone in enemy was fed af, I couldnt carry this game. Like for last 3 days. Gold elo (last season I was in emerald 1 80 LP), this game is soo disgusting.
Actually what I personally believe. Since you're so weak early that any 1v1 is basically a guaranteed loss. People do not die early a lot with Mundo so that leads to higher win rate because they plkay safe but also scale well later, not many characters can do this, you wither play super safe but fall behind in farm or you snowball. Mundo can't snowball well but he can both play safe while farming well with cleaver and e while outscaling his oponent if at equal gold. So this is his power basically.
Why is Mundo good in low elo even if counter picked? I played Mundo yesterday Vs Gwen. I went 0 3 in Laning but kept having around 8csm and in late I could 1v4 the other team and twice I solo killed the 25 kills Gwen that had poorly mechanics Glhf with him
The 3 point Q, into E max + heartsteal + titanic hydra combo… This is actually really big. It’s was made clear how important it is to farm and get to these power spikes without dying and getting behind. The rest is oongaboonga turn brain off and smash.
@1:45:09 crazy you leveled to 16 right after you used ult, if you waited you would have penta kill. crazy extra heal from lvlf 3 ult, and there were 4 enemy champions around you, so an extra 20% health and heal
It kinda cracks me up how in all of these videos you literally just completely ignore your team lol. Honestly I think I find myself losing a lot of pressure sacrificing tempo to "help" people. I actually learned a lot from that.

in the silver game .. that Udyr is the type of Jungler i hate to the core. 20min of just farming the jungle. 0 presence on any lane, 0 presence on any objective... just farming

how to improve micro? I feel like i know what to do in game but playing on trackpad and i have 30fps/90ms so sometimes hard to play right in teamfights.. Cant get out of diamond because i keep messing up some micro through the game..
I hope this fixes my mundo slump. S13 mundo was such a beast. I feel like riot killed heartsteel and its bait to go, even on mundo. I shall empty my cup and fill it with da funda mentos
On games where I will be split pushing a lot I like to build heartsteel-> titanic hydra-> dead man's for the wave clear and movement. With the move speed from ghost + ult + dead mans you are going to be faster than anyone else and you can run away safely most of the time even if literally 5 of them try to jump you.
I think that it would be really helpful if you got other full games uploaded on another channel (even if they ain't the best educational ones) because the more exposure people get to their elo, the better
Why Hollow Radiance over Spirit Visage? Is the extra hp/ad more useful than the healing? Can't imagine waveclear has anything to do with since you already have E and Titanic

Is there any reason you buy hollow radiance over spirit in the first game? I feel like spirit is such an insane item on mundo since it makes all his abilities heal more, and especially with how ahead you are with titanic second i feel like you dont need the dmg from hollow radiance passive
